They had a lot more dog items than any other item it seemed. There was rows and rows of dog toys, food, beds, accessories, etc. We went to the cat section after and there wasn't as many food options yet, but we saw a lot of the big named popular cat food anyway. We even found our brand that we use. The best part was walking over to the wet food. We found Tiki Cat wet food - hardest cat wet food to find anywhere. No one has it. We have checked the major pet stores and other stores we shop at as well. You can only buy it online and it is rated as one of the healthiest by multiple vets. We decided to buy the two different options to try it out and see if our cats love it. They had quite a few cat toys, and some really cheap options. Across from the food, near the register, we saw rice and mice for sale, super cheap. They were adorable. Right above them, they had cute birds. These are the only live animals they have in store - no dog/cat adoption. I really enjoyed two other sections of the store. The fish area surprised me with LED tanks or Glow tanks - something my little sister would love. Quite a few of them came with a set that included rocks and a few decorations, along with a filter. It makes it easier to have everything you need, and with different designs. I loved the rocks they had as well. Another section was the bird feeder area. They had really pretty bird feeders and large bags of different bird food. They also had tiny little hanging food items or discs that were super cheap. We saw gourmet food items for critters, including birds. I am excited to buy a few in the spring. I was amazed to see wildlife food, like corn, for deers. I did not expect to see it. The employees at the register are very friendly, and were happy to hear I was excited about the wet food options. I am hoping they will bring in different kinds in the future! Rude, insensitive, entitled lady behind the counter. Denied her treat of Denta Stix which shes had for ten years, saying it's a choking hazard. This lady was on a power trip, not nice, not welcoming, doesn't like her job obviously. Filled all the papers out. Dog had all necessary vacinations. She bent down and tried to put a lease around her neck. Dog has cataracts and is hard of hearing too. Dog snipped at her. I asked her to give the dog a few minutes to calm down since this is a stranger she cant see trying to put something around her neck. She refused and told us she couldn't take out dog!!!! At the last moment before we leave for out week long vacation she says she can not take the dog!!!!!! No apologies just flat out can't take her!! We had no one or no where to take her since it's the Fourth of July weekend!! This person didn't care about any of that. Ruining our vacation didn't matter to her. To top if off I was told by a Danielle that she'd hate to report my dog to animal control if she bit anyone!! This dog who has had a rabies shot was going to be reported to animal control?? Are you kidding me? For what for them to come take and euthanize her? Stay far away from this place. The store manager was no better except supporting his staff! I wouldn't leave a fly here!!

As a customer, I definitely felt like my time being there was valued by employees and they both made sure to go above and beyond to cater what I needed. Petco has done well with me over the past few years since my cat's on a special kidney diet, and as anyone who's had cats knows, their fussy eaters. After working with my vet about 2 years ago, we got puddy settled into her new diet and she's finally acclimated with her routine. When I was growing up we had a dog and we had that dog on Science Diet dog food. I also had a Beagle who ate science diet since he was over weight and getting these bags of food is somewhat expensive and this was before the day and age of the internet. So, coming to stores like this was imperative. But here's where I love Petco. In my area, there's only two stores that carry Puddy's Royal Canin wet food for her kidneys in the loaf style can, and that's Petco! (the other one's pet supplies plus.) I buy the cans about 5 or 6 at a time since a case (24 cans) is $70 on Chewy. The reason I get 5-6 can's at a time is because my cat's primarily on a dry food grazing diet. Wet foods only on request. Sometimes puddy will pass on the wet food for a few days and since I don't want it spoiling, I don't buy in large quantities. So, off to Petco we go. During the pandemic, there was a huge pet food shortage, and Petco saved me a few times by having it available and in stock when other places didn't. The food shortage went on for a good long while and it was rough there for a hot minute. But, they did me right and always came through when I placed an order and had it, compared to Petsmart who doesn't carry half of what I need anymore. The joy of shopping here is not only do they have my specialty food, but I can order in advance on their website and it'll be ready for pickup when I'm there. Sometimes they'll have it on sale and I do save a few bucks but I also like seeing what else they have here. I've picked up a few other things while here in the past which helps. The staff here's good, but for a while there, it was slacking. I appreciate them, especially post pandemic. They also do pet adoptions which is great. They have a grooming center for dogs, but puddy doesn't need grooming, so we don't go. I think they might have a vet area, but we have a specialty cat vet so I don't utilize that either. Overall, fabulous!
