We where told we would have wedding party in a room , the morning of the wedding the area was given to a retirement party. That meant he wedding party had to sit in front at the bar area. Talk about disappointing. We can't even hear ourselves at the same table. As for food well I ll let you know soon. We had our son & and his brides " Night Before Dinner Celebration " at Biagetti's . I can't even begin to say how absolutely wonderful, amazing, & fantastic the evening was. From the breathtaking room and decor to the scrumptious appetizers! The Italian wedding soup was delicious and the bruschetta was the best we have ever had! Their special appetizer ClamsDiMaeo was to die for! The house salads were the perfect size and the homemade dressings were outstanding. The choices for the main course were plentiful from seafood, fish, to chicken and steak. Every one of our guests praised the food and our server Mike was very attentive and extremely professional. One of the many compliments was " I've been to many Rehearsal/Night Before Dinners and this was hands down the best ever". Four of us dined incredibly well here on a Friday night and definitely needed our reservation. Started with clams D'amico as our amazing appetizer. Dinners come with soup and salad so we enjoyed a great NE clam chowder (not overly creamy, just right) lovely house salads and crisp Caesar salads. Our fabulous entrees were a couple of treasure chests, chicken Ricardo, and stuffed cod, all massive and absolutely delicious. No room for dessert as we left with enough for at least another meal. My family and I went to Biagetti's on a Saturday night. We had early reservations so when we arrived there were not too many people in the restaurant. As we began eating, more people arrived and it did get pretty busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. For appetizers, we ordered fried calamari and an order of cheesy clam bread, which was a special. The clam bread was excellent, it was cheesy and packed with flavor. The calamari was also very good, but was a little on the greasy side. All of our entrees came with soup and salad, which were delicious. I asked to substitute the soup of the day for pasta fagioli and I sure was glad I did because the pasta fagioli was amazing. The italian wedding soup was also very good and so were the salads. For an entree, I ordered the penne with broccoli rabe and sausage, which was a HUGE portion and was very delicious. My fiancé ordered the chicken Parmesan which was also huge portion and he said tasted good. Overall, we really enjoyed Biagetti's. The price was right, especially for the portions, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. We will likely be back! read more

The moment we walked in we felt like family. Linda & Scott made us feel welcome and went way out of their way to accommodate without us asking for a thing. We went with our 14-month grandson who just moved to the neighborhood. They reserved a quiet corner in the restaurant and were attentive to every little thing. The service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. I loved my chicken marsala. Dinners still come with soup AND salad and plenty of sides. These days many restaurants now charge for salad & veggies. This decades old restaurant lasts because of the care of the owners, the tasty dishes, the atmosphere close to the water and the staff who take pride in their work. Nothing better than traditional old school Italian favorites, just be sure to go on an empty stomach and wear your comfy pants. We initially went to Biagetti's to pick up a gift certificate for a local family member but decided to stay for dinner as we couldn't resist how delicious everything looked. We were seated in the lounge area off the bar which was perfect for us as we had a little one and this area was a bit less formal than their main dining room. The bar was packed with not an empty seat for the two hours we were there. Our server and bus boy were on point throughout all of dinner service from filling our water glasses to replenishing our basket with hot bread bread to providing excellent recommendations! The only thing they forgot to share was how humongous the portions are! We started out with an order of calamari that was crispy and tender served with a delicious marinara sauce. Our little one had a plain chicken cutlet that was perfectly pounded thin and fried crispy with a side of spaghetti. The best of two worlds collided and the chicken Riccardo was born; homemade chicken cutlets, layered with ricotta and their house eggplant parmigiana. The portion could of easily feed two people as it's very filling. We ultimately packaged up the chicken Riccardo to take home as the two other entrees filled up three adults. The stuffed sole was better than I would have made at home. It is two large pieces of sole stuffed served with a potato & vegetable, soup and salad (we really enjoyed the Cesar). To top off the meal, we were treated to some of the best cannoli cake and treated like regulars the entire meal. We can't wait to go back as every dish looked delicious! read more

Went there for my Granddaughters wedding reception. We were supposed to be in a private room. Instead, we were in an open dining area right next to the bar! The bar was open to the public, and there were around 20 people at the bar being excessively loud and getting very drunk! We could not enjoy our reception because it was so loud! And we were charged $50 a plate... why, I have no idea...because meals on their menu average about $25!! The food was terrible! Chicken parm was very thin sliced chicken that was dry and overcooked. The pasta was stone cold with hardly any sauce. And I question the cleanliness of this place: the floor in the bathroom was "sticky", my cloth napkin had something stuck on it and had to ask for another one. We spoke to the manager, but to no avail. All she kept saying was that she had been in business for 49 years! She had absolutely NO customer service skills, and offered no possible resolution, no apology....nothing! She was very rude! In fact, she blamed my grand daughter for not coming to look at the place before hand! I warn all potential customers: please be careful in considering this place for a private event.... do yourself a huge favor, don't even consider it.... there are other reputable places in the area that deliver great food, fantastic customer service! read more

For starters the owner and her staff are first rate- friendly, professional and always willing to go above & beyond to make your dining experience special. Now to the food- expect a delicious 3 course meal with soup, salad and an entre that will challenge the heartiest appetite. The service was the worst we have ever experienced - we had reservations so that was no excuse. It took 50 (yes, 5-0) minutes for our drinks. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Biagetti's restaurant and I must say, I was blown away by the incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warm and inviting ambiance. It's clear that Biagetti's pays meticulous attention to detail when it comes to their food. Their eggplant rolllatini, sausage bread, and every meal we ordered was the best Italian food we have ever had. Their tomato sauce was amazing! Not only was the food delicious but the service was top-notch!!! The staff at Biagetti's went above and beyond to ensure that every one of us was well taken care of. By the time we left we felt like family. We loved everything so much we went back again 4 days later. We live in FL but rest assured we will be back at Biagetti's on our next trip to CT. I was contacted by a very nice woman from the restaurant the next morning, and advised that I was one of 32 people she was getting back to after a total breakdown of her phone system the day before. She was very apologetic and tried her best to accommodate me to schedule another reservation. I thanked her and assured her that we would be back soon. During my last day in Connecticut my friend was beyond excited for me to try this place. She bragged that every time she brings a new person here, it becomes their favorite meal and now she can add me to this list. This is one of the best Italian places I've had in a while. I was shocked at how busy it was on a weekday night but thankfully the wait wasn't too long. Food and service were also pretty fast and the portion sizes were ginormous! I ordered the famous meat treasure chest and a treasure it was! The different meats were so flavorful and plentiful. Even eating half of it a day later it was still, to my surprise, so delicious! My friend had a special seasonal chicken parm dish they had available for the month and she thought it was just ok and suggested sticking to the meat treasure chest.
