Just as I was checking my email, I saw a message about a nearby Bibibop being a test site for new menu items so we decided to give it a try instead. For my bowl, I chose turmeric lemon rice (a new item), sweet potato glass noodles, and honey citrus kale (also new) as my base. For hot toppings, I went with roasted broccoli and potatoes, though I was tempted by the new curry chickpeas, which sounded delicious. I added cucumber and carrots as cold toppings and paid an extra $1.50 for avocado. For protein, I tried the new miso-glazed salmon. This was easily my best bowl creation yet! I have a love/ not love relationship with this place. I had it once, liked it. Came back, didn't. I stopped for several years till recently. I LOVED IT! Everything was fresh & if it was meant to be hot, it was. If it was cold, it was. They have this korean bbq beef that was absolutely delicious & tender & flavorful. Then I enjoyed the veggie mix & toppings. BUT...the last time I had it, the steak was flavorless & so fatty I had to spit it out. I understand there's good & bad days even in restaurants but it's hard spending money & not being able to eat your meal. Nothing like fast food Teppenyaki Grill. I've always liked Bibibop, and this one is better than most. Now they have cauliflower rice! Yum! If you're Keto or Vegetarian or just watching your waist line (shrink ), Bibibop has plenty of delicious options for you. Also, loads of protein options. We LOVE the Yum Yum sauce, but they never seem to put enough on the bowls. Don't worry, you can load up at the sauce bar! The one downer.... The soup is TERRIBLE. NO flavor - very bland. The home made lemonades are EXCELLENT, and there are at least 6 choices between the lemonades and teas. Service is always SOLID. Decent number of tables if you want to hang around and eat. Not sure it travels well - probably cold by the time you get it home and get settled to eat. This Bibibop is ALWAYS super cold inside, so bring a sweater or sweatshirt. This gets an IN THE MOOD. For anyone who hasn't been to a bibibop, it is an Asian restaurant comparable to chipotle. You can choose from pasta, salad, or a rice (steamed or purple) bowl. You have protein to choose from then a variety of vegetables and fried egg 'pancake'. You can add sauces or get them on the side to go. They now offer complimentary miso soup. I actually REALLY enjoy Bibibop food, I just hate this location. They don't really listen to your order to you have to repeat yourself, and they still try to put the wrong stuff in your bowl.... and if there's a mistake with your bill, expect to feel responsible for it. I will continue to frequent Bibibop, just other locations. read more

I've only ever been to the Grandview location, so this new location has a lot of pluses going for it. Obviously way more space here (of course, as you get out of the urban areas, strip mall space is bigger plots). White, bright walls. More table and booth seating options. I hadn't had Bibibop in quite a while, over a year at least. I chose to go with the rice bowl - I love the purple rice! Has a nutty flavor. I like it much better than the plain ol white stuff. Toppings included a the potatoes, bean sprouts, grilled chicken, cucumbers, carrots, radish, and a few more that are skipping my mind. The meal was ok. Nothing big. Their yum yum sauce was way too thick - almost mayonnaise consistency. I like the healthy aspect of Bibibop. I'm not sure about the lacking flavor profile that I've developed for them, over time. read more

The fresh tea and lemonade are also a favorite. The only negative I can say is that some of the ingredients were a little mixed and the beverage station needed wiped down. My only beef, but very big beef is that they over charged. the item was 6.99 and they charged us each 9.99 , but since it was our first time there, we would recheck at home before complaining, but also too late to complain. It was all very welcoming, and inviting. The people behind the counter were eager to serve. A quick perusal of the items, and I was ready to begin ordering. Or so I thought. That rocket sled goes fast. "Wait!" That's way to much rice. This went on, all the way down the line. I felt like each had a mission to reach the top of the bowl before you reach the end. How did salad bars fail? Oh yeah, contagions. I found that I was asking for things that I like, with no regard as to how they taste together. Second visit, I took my time, and put thought into taste combinations. The ingredients are fresh, and abundant. No one could ever take that away from them. Oh my goodness are we glad there is one close to home. It was so good we went back 2 days later to have another go of it. The food is so delicious and fresh. We can eat fast food in a healthy way! We love Japanese Steakhouses and this to us blows that out of the water because it's fresh and light but super filling the price is great as well. This location is very clean but the attitudes of some of the staff is terrible. With the wearing of the mask it was hard for her to hear me while ordering. I did not take my mask off but pulled it away from my mouth so she could hear me better ,she then proceeds to tell me if I don't leave my mask on I will have to leave. Fantastic! This is a restaurant that we stopped at just off of the highway, and we were pleasantly surprised to find this affordable and delicious stop. Like "chipotle" for Asian food, only better in most every way. Just like chipotle, you got through a quick cafeteria-style line, picking protein, fresh veggies, sauce, and other options. Extras like kimchi, pineapple, and miso soup are at the end. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and cheery, and much more quiet than chipotle. We especially liked the fresh lemonade. This is my second experience with BiBiBop. The first time I tried it was a couple of years ago when they opened a location on Broad Street. I didn't like my food at all, took most home, tried to fix it, ended up tossing it. Fast forward to last night... Decided to give it another try. We now have a location closer to home and were right there, soooooo went in and tried to remember what I didn't like the last time. I changed up some of my choices, which helped, but the main difference was the sauce. I distinctly didn't like the flavor of whatever I had selected. This is important: the wrong sauce ruins the bowl. I guess to make a good choice one must know something about the different sauces. My advice if you are not familiar with this place is to go over to the "fixin's" bar and pump a few different sauces and sample them. This time I ordered something I actually liked. What a difference! All in all, I can now recommend this place. The food was tasty, generous and reasonably priced. They offer free miso soup with a meal. It was very good and I really appreciated it. I hope they continue this welcoming practice. I have only one complaint and that is that the person who was serving the bowl either didn't understand me or wasn't paying attention. He filled my order completely wrong- twice! I did get it straightened out, so all is well, but I can imagine that this would result in some pretty unhappy campers. I think it might be helpful if the eating public were a little better informed about what makes a "good" bowl. Although not everyone likes the same thing, I can attest to the likelihood of accidentally creating something inedible. Perhaps a few ready-made entree choices should be offered. My little grandson insisted we go to Bibibop, his favorite. He is not one to seek out veggies, so I was impressed and had to take him there to eat out. I was amazed at the variety of healthy and delicious choices for your bowl. All the meats were fresh, as were the fruits and vegetables. The sweet potato noodles were a delicious surprise, as I never expected them to be so good - a cross between rice noodles (Vietnamese noodles) and pasta. There was a large variety of sauces to add on top of the bowl.--lots of umami taste satisfaction! The beverages are outstanding, and included fruity and tea, which you could combine to your taste. The (free) miso soup was a nice bonus--very nourishing. The restaurant was clean and neat. Marisol, the manager at the East Broad Street, Reynoldsburg/Blacklick location, introduced herself, and offered her services to make our meal and visit there extra enjoyable.
