This place is a bit of a hit and miss. I've been coming here since they first opened inside the Seafood City mall and now outside. They do some dishes well and others not-so-well. Overall, their prices are reasonably cheap especially after 7 pm and for breakfast, but even during the day and regular hours, their prices are cheaper than other Filipino eateries for homestyle turo turo cuisine. What I like here are their bicol express (always good and one of my favorites); lechon, sisig and kambing (goat). Kare kare is good too but need to get it fresh when it's not sitting too long. Their adobo tends to be a little too salty and some other dishes are on the oily, greasy side, but in general, taste is good and above average. Food is reliable, service is on and off, price is cheap and decor is non-distinct. It's cafeteria style and can be a little warm and stuffy inside but it's clean. I ate here over the weekend with my cousin and I was surprised, because I had no idea this was here. I actually ate at the one in Vegas the weekend of the most recent Pacquiao fight. Cheap and ahhhight food. Lumpia, pancit, adobo, kare kare, and sinigang are good choices. Not great, just good. However, the bistek is almost always super greasy and always has a ton of fat attached. Just trim the fat off dude! Not that hard. read more

DJ is decent and cheap. The food selection is ok. The good is how much food you get for such a cheap price. What I don't care for is the quality of the food. I love buffets and am not a food snob by any means. It just seems like the food here might not get tossed at night. We have tried the (sorry I may be misspelling some of the names) adobo, misua, palabok, sisig, and some pork dish with coconut milk, ginger, and peppers. My favorite out of all those dishes is the pork with coconut milk. My least favorite dish is probably the palabok because it seemed a bit dry. It probably would of been better with more sauce and calamansi. We also like to order a side of soup, which is located near the register. It's just broth, but it's very flavorful. read more

Everything we got here tasted and smelled like it had been sitting on the steam table for way too long. We love Filipino food and had high hopes, which is why we pressed on even though the place looked and smelled kind of grimy. We got takeout--lechon, adobo, pork in coconut milk, stewed goat, plus lumpia and chicken skins. We got home, took a couple of bites, and unanimously decided to throw everything away and order a pizza, which is something we've never done before. Love it here. You pay for what you get. I recommend going earlier in the day. When the food is fresh out of the kitchen. It gets pretty busy during lunch hours. Every time I go, I get good service. But I've seen some customers are plain rude to the employees. Come on just tell the worker what you want and stop being rude. You have to understand they serve so many customers on a daily basis so don't be rude and be open minded. One of the employees always has a smile on their face. I don't understand how people are so picky when obviously you're going there for great food at a fast service. So suck it up and go. This place is marketed to people on the go. It has been many years since we've last eaten in this restaurant. The last time was when they were still inside near the Seafood City Grocery entrance. We decided to pay this place a visit the other day and my wife and I were disappointed. Their food doesn't taste the way each dish should taste anymore. Restaurants staffs no Manners at all. Coffee serves in Children cups or half of styro cups, Makes you just practically beg for more, staffs makes faces than helpful. Food container cover place upside or down they don't care at all. Restaurant not even par with the Philippine standard regular restaurants.Utensils if not inadequate they just toss you plastics in an ill mannered way. I've been here several times. They have good price and serve plenty compared to Chow-King or Jollibee. Lots of seating and great location, too. They have a good selection of "turo-turo" food. But, I wish that they'll put up the names/labels on them though. Everytime I order, I feel a little hurried when making a selection, especially if there's a line behind me. I've always thought that it will really help to have the name of the food (and maybe a little description) right next to the dish so that I don' t have to constantly ask the servers which one is what. I feel bad for non-filipino customers who have to figure out what what kind of dish they're looking at. Thank God they have friendly servers and staff who can be patient enough to wait for me to make up my mind and wrap up my order. I agree with other reviews as far as coming early for fresh and warm food. By dinner time, some of the sauces are dried out, some are starting to get cold and not taste as great, and there can be long lines too. But if you ever find your food cold, don't hesitate to ask them to reheat it for you. read more

super cheap and yummy home-cooked filipino food. their breakfast meals are even cheaper than lunch/dinner. they tend to run out of the good stuff a couple hours before closing. my faves include the pork asado (sweet adobo), kare-kare, banana blossoms, crispy pata, and on the rare occasion they have it, lechon paksiw. if you're looking for fancy dining, this place isn't it. but if you'd like a warm inexpensive filipino meal fast, this place is it! buy a can of ice cold coconut juice from the fridge and you're good to go. read more

Bibingkahan serves familiar fare like lumpia (shanghai and veggie). adobo and roast pig -- nothing special, but definitely ok if judged by home cooking standards. This place is ridiculous. The people are so RUDE. I have tried this place more than once, and I regret ever going. There's a guy that serves you food who is a big jerk! You wont miss him, he always wears his hat backwards and acts like he owns the place. Dude, you serve food. Also, there's a lady back there who acts just as stuck up as he does. If you ask me, it's pretty difficult to find Filipino "fast food" that is actually authentic and appetizing. DJ's is a great place to get your home cooked fix when your grandma is out of town and your mom doesn't want to cook for you. If there was a zero star option, they would be rated as so...the food was below par, seems as though the food is old and by the time you get its luke warm at best. As for the flavor, from a scale of 1-5 (5 being great) they would be at 1. Extremely oily compared to other Filipino food options around town. You're better off traveling across town for better Filipino food. The female workers are stuck up and extremely rude they seem to be always rolling their eyes at you when you ask them what type of meat is in a particular dish, since nothing is labeled and it all looks the same, and talk under their breath making insulting comments about you in Tagalog and the male workers always seem to stare and ask you inappropriate questions in a sexually harassing matter while making comments about you to the other workers ( are you married? How old are you? Can I get your number? Etc, which obviously, is awkward to say the least, come on now, just do your job and serve me food ... Then they talk about you in their language (Tagalog) assuming that you don't understand them when you do, at least that was my experience. Just plain Rude! So beware if you're planning to eat at this place, you must be looking for over priced food, distasteful service, and lousy sub par quality Filipino cuisine by all means try this joint, but you might end up with food poisoning like one of the people I dined with did. read more

i was hesitant on doing a review but me and my wife goes there almost every week we come from another town about 16 miles just to eat there because i love kaldereta and everytime i ask for my order when its the female thats serving she is very stingy lol all i want is sauce on my rice and potatos, wow you can tell she is very stingy but the guy with the cap not bad at all very generous, btw theres a time when i ordered my fav dish (kaldereta) but no meat i told her its ok just as long theres sauce on my rice and potatoes its fine but even after that still the sauce was very little, earlier today we went there again ordered the same dish i ask for sauce on my rice and even just 1 egg and this time the kaldereta has eggs in them, anyways as usuall very little sauce and lol no eggs, imagine we are driving 14 to 16miles just to eat there but i guess i can say she dont care. read more
