Toastee sandwich on a Jerusalem bagel
    Lola M.

First off, Dan (the owner) was at the register taking orders and was so very welcoming. We had never been to Bibi's before, but the baked goods looked amazing. We both got the Toastee sandwich where you pick a cheese, a sauce and any veggies on the list which included vegan peperoni. The sandwich is served on either a Jerusalem bagel or a pita. Of course I went with the bagel! Well, these toasted sandwiches were amazing. The Jerusalem bagel was huge, perfectly toasted and delicious. No matter what you choose to put on it, it can't be bad. There's no indoor seating so we ate outside at one of the sidewalk tables. Our food was brought to us outside. Before we left we grabbed a bag of beautiful pitas and a pretzel bagel to go. They have a lot of items I want to try, everything looked good. I can definitely recommend coming here because the people are very nice and the food is terrific. It really made me happy!

I come for the pita!! It's So soft, pillowy and beautifully made.. Way better than any pita that can be bought in the store. Hands down the best, and I've had a lot of pita!

For the money, the biscuit egg sandwich was fresh and delicious funny it was the least expensive item on the menu, and the biscuit was huge

I was looking for some spinach knish but unfortunately, they don't make them here. I bought two potato and mushroom bourekas. They were pretty good but I had some taste for spinach knish & apricot Rugelach. I guess I need to wait until next NYC trip to find me those. Well, the service was very good. Price is decent. I wish I can special order some spinach knish. Parking was super difficult to find.

Black and white sufignot (Hanukkah special) with custard and chocolate filling

Came to Bibi's to pick up some borekas and donuts. We ordered at the counter and service, as always, was excellent. We got cheese, potato, and the feta and olive flavors of borekas. They were nicely sized. It was my first time trying the feta boreka and I think that one is now my favorites. Huge feta fan here. We got a mix of different flavors of sufigniyot. I really liked that they had smaller versions of these usually large donuts. I had the chocolate one and I loved how much filling it had. I've always used Bibi's for takeout. However, I did notice there was some seating outside. Metered parking on the street.

I went in the afternoon and spend $200+ and everything was stale. The black and white cookie was like a hockey puck. I was so disappointed

Overpriced menu. Feels like their is so much profiteering in the Restaurant Industries. The service is great for a sidewalk place.

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

They have a small parking lot, but at the time I went I was able to find a spot pretty easily, which was convenient. I could see parking being a little difficult during busier times, though. I ordered the matcha with the banana foam. The matcha itself is sweetened with agave, so it's a pretty simple, approachable matcha. It was a little too sweet for my taste, so next time I'd definitely ask for it less sweet. The banana foam was the highlight for me. It tastes like a mix of banana pudding and fresh banana with a really natural flavor that doesn't come across as overly artificial. Overall, I thought it was a good matcha. It was smooth and well balanced. It doesn't have a super strong matcha flavor, but it also doesn't just taste like milk. I enjoyed it and would come back again. Next time, I'd just order it less sweet.

They seriously know how to extract the perfect espresso here at Maru. Each cup, no matter which option you go with is balanced, silky and rich in flavor. 1. Espresso Con Panna (5/5) One of their signature drinks containing double espresso with cacao powder and their signature smooth, cream top. Lightly sweet, not bitter or acidic. It has a hint of tangy spice to it which I just loved. 2. Iced Breve Macchiato (5/5) A tiny, but mighty cup of double espresso poured over their signature velvety cream and milk. Aesthetically pleasing to look at, even more amazing to the tastebuds as the warm espresso plus the occasional coldness from the 1 large ice cube they place at the bottom of the cup. They also sell a few pastry items here such as croissants and matcha donut. I opted to try the Matcha donut, which was moist and has a spongy texture. It was not sweet and had a subtle matcha flavor. It paired well with the drinks. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!!!

I was curious about the house made syrup and sadly, it was a bit too sweet. Partly my fault though because I keep forgetting everything in America is sweeter lol. However, the syrup had a natural warm sweetness to it and I ended up enjoying it more after it watered down a bit.
