Came here with a friend after deciding we wanted bbq. The minute we found this place on yelp, the reviews and photos looked promising, so it was onwards to Bib's ribs! We parked on the side, they weren't busy atm (I suggest you go immediately and crowd that place bc the way I am about describe that bbq is like no other)... we were greeted by the owner he was so nice and welcoming... now, me being an adventurous foodie, I wanted to try everything so I got the 3 meat combo, in that I got the brisket, tri tip and ribs w/ 4 sides baked beans, Cole slaw, Mac n cheese, Mac salad. Good lawd, can we say food coma! This was food for 4 people! Go big or go home, idc! Get this it was all for $45?!! Anyways, back to the meat... the tri tip was moist and had just the right amount of fat, the flavor was smoky Ofcourse it was so filling. I got 4 fat ass ribs! Perfect to save the last 2 for dinner tonight. The flavor was great, everything was Smokey, great with some bbq sauce. The brisket felt like a hug from a judgy Jewish mother on Shabbat dinner. Worth it! The sides were good, I wanted to sample as much as I can, my fave so far was the Mac salad and the baked beans and the Cole slaw, b/c you gotta eat your veggies!.... Then washed it all down w/ a Coke Zero. This place is truly a little gem. It's a ma and pa hole in the wall place. I can barely finish my whole plate. I'm definitely having leftovers tonight and tomorrow. Stop by for lunch or dinner. It's worth it! read more

Unpretentious little hole in the wall with good eats. Go to the posted menu, order and pay and you get a drink included in the price. The food is then brought to your table. They do take out as well. The brisket was excellent as were the sides. read more

Don't blink when you drive by or you'll miss it. It's a little place with amazing BBQ and friendly service. I had the brisket and beef ribs which are so flavorful and tender. The sides are great too with my favorite being the Mac and cheese. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I just ate here for the first time this weekend and it was really good. We ordered every meat and every side, nothing disappointed. Manny the owner was really gracious and inviting. I was in on Saturday afternoon before dinner, it was very quiet while I waited for our orders. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Small hole in the wall delicious bbq spot! They are new to the area (less than a year) great prices, chill ambiance, and you get that delicious real smokey flavor. Owner is super friendly and provides excellent customer service. We ordered the 3 meat/4 sides which was plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids. Definitely recommend!!! read more

This is hands down my favorite BBQ spot. It's family-owned and operated, and you can really tell how much care and effort they put into the food. The owners are friendly and happy to chat if you're the social type, but also respectful of your space if you're just looking to enjoy a quiet meal with your family. Since it's a small, mom-and-pop shop, be prepared to wait a like if it's a busy day -- they don't just reheat food to push it out quickly. Everything is made fresh, and trust me, it's worth the wait! The beef ribs are my top pick -- they're incredible. But since everything is made fresh, they can sell out quickly, so get there early if you want them. The tri-tip and brisket are also fantastic: tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. I don't eat pork myself, but I've heard great things. The sides are just as good -- the beans are amazing (I could eat a whole bowl!), and the macaroni salad is delicious too. The only minor downside is the limited drink options, but that's expected with a small shop like this. I truly hope this business continues to thrive and grow -- they deserve it! read more

Finally made it to the famous Bibs Ribs in Whittier. I can't believe it took me this long to try. The food was delicious. We tried the 3 meat combo. It really felt like eating bbq at a friends house. The service was friendly and hospitable. The meat was as not over salted or over sauced. That's usually my biggest complaint with bbq. The sides were also delicious. Great place for BBQ! We were just driving by and decided to try it...so happy. The food portions are large and so delicious. Good prices too. We got the 3 meat plate (baby back ribs, tri-tip and brisket) and it came with 4 sides (we got potato and macaroni salads, baked beans and mac n cheese). Everything was big and so tasty! Definitely our new BBQ place to eat and enjoy. West Coast BBQ is their style and now it's our favorite. read more

Wow what an amazing bbq! If you are looking for deep smoke this is the place. I have never had brisket so tender. The beef ribs and baby back ribs had deep rich taste and we probably would have noticed the smoke rings if we had not eaten so fast. All these sides are good, but the meat is the highlight. You won't find bbq like this unless you go outside CA. Be sure to call ahead because the food sells out fast! read more

If u haven't tried this place you definitely need to from the food to the customers service and the ambience of the place everything was on point we went right before they were gonna close today and the owner took care of us with the best customer service he did so well my dad left him a $20 tip because the service was so impeccable. We got tri-tip brisket, beef, ribs and short ribs as far as sides. We got macaroni, salad, potato salad, mac & cheese, and baked beans everything was so delicious. Meat was full of flavor and tenderness. It is one of the best barbecues we've had in a very long time. We will definitely be returning and I'm so glad that it is in our local area.. thank you guys for the fast and sufficient service. You definitely will have returning customers. This place has only been open for 19 months. You guys really need to try to support our local businesses. You guys will not be disappointed. Came here today with a friend from work. We both been craving BBQ. So we decided to tryout this place. Its been around for 9 months now. Cant miss the spot. Across from Wow's discount store on Whittier, you will see the big ol' smoking/bbq rig setup outside the restaurant. Place is surprisely pretty ample on the inside, 2 tvs and nice decor all around. 6 tables with one addtional table that can hold up to 10 people. Let me tell you about the food!! Orgasmic to say the least! Still thinking about it now as im typing and savoring the meal we just had. We ordered the 3 meat, 4 side sampler plate, with an additional meat. We tried meats: Baby Back Ribs, Tri Tip, Apple smoked sausage (2 per order), and brisket. Favorites, it was a toss up from the melt in your mouth brisket to the savory, smoky ribs.. But all were very good. The Sides: Mac N cheese, cole slaw, potato salad, and baked beans.. By far the beans were really good. Good taste, not sweet, with a nice smokey flavor. In fact all the other sides were equally good! Slaw was on point with the tanginess of the sauce and crispness of the cabbage. Potato salad was very good, and homemade! Mac n cheese was very good as well. The platter comes with some texas toast and two sides of bbq. OMG very good. So glad we came here. Platter prices were as follows: 1 meat 2 sides for $25, 2 meat, 3 sides for $35, and 3 meats, 4 sides for $45. Big portions.. Menu consisited mainly of the meats, the sides, some sandwiches, and some bowls. The owner Manuel and his wife were very nice. read more

Delicious! Can smell the BBQ as you get out of the car. Tried the beef ribs, brisket, and tri tip all were flavorful. For sides we tried the Mac and cheese, baked beans and potatoes salad. The food was decent, but I was disappointed by the portion sizes given the cost. I placed a large order for a tailgate party, and not only was I unable to choose the meats I wanted due to their limitations, but the side portions were extremely small. They didn't match the size of the meals at all and were really only enough for one--maybe two--people. To top it all off, they did not provide all the meats that I had ordered and I failed to check them before I walked out of the restaurant. read more

We went there once and the food was fantastic and definitely worth the 5 stars however, we've tried going back 3 times. The first time the business was closed despite the hours on Yelp and Google Maps. The second and third time, we called the number listed online and the owner said that there was a catering event and he was not open. The third time we called we were told that he had an emergency. The unreliability of this restaurant is certainly an issue. read more

I don't usually write reviews unless a place really stands out, but I had to make an exception for Bibs Ribs on Whittier Blvd. My aunt has been telling me about this spot for a while, always pointing it out when we drive by. It's usually impossible to stop during rush hour, but since it was Sunday I finally went in. I called her right away and she told me exactly what she wanted: pork ribs and chicken links. I got the 3-meat plate (added chicken for myself) with potato salad, coleslaw & mac and cheese. WOW. I've never had BBQ like this before. Everything was packed with flavor and made with such obvious care. The meats were incredibly tender and melted in your mouth and every single side we had was simply perfect. You can really tell the owner puts love into everything. The interior feels so cozy and the owner was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Luckily the guy at the register disrupted my registration process because I will not be coming back. If you want plain burgers you're better off going to BK or McDonalds down the street.
