Mutt Lynches surprised me for food! I ordered the Pastrami Sandwich and boy was it good! The serving size was great, and it came with a choice of fries - I would say definitely go for Garlic Fires or Sweet Potato. I also paired this with a 32oz Japanese lager (and yes 32 oz. - wize of a hydroflask). The service was great and the food impressed me! Great location, and just remember they do check ID's prior to entering so bring that too! This place gets packed so be sure to get there early if you want a table!

Great service as always, Julie and Fernando are my favorite. Friendly smiles and attentiveness shines through with these too. Food is good and drinks are even better. Thanks guys!

Its been awhile since we've been to one of our favorite taco stops and we left happy and full this time. The food is still great and our service this time was decent even though our girl upstairs only came by at the end of our dinner to give me the bill. Lots and lots of flies upstairs but not sure if there can be anything done to fix that. Good lunch today.

Me and my mother went here for lunch It was our first time here I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer 10 out of 10. definitely will be coming back just for the meatballs.Mother had hamburger. California dreamin another 10 out of 10 good Quality meat. service was incredible since the moment me and my mother walked in.The reason why I will be putting this on my top five, it is Dog friendly and the ambience is Home away from home comfort . Great place to watch sports. Enjoy a nice beer, cocktail with your furry. so me and my mom will definitely be returning to check out their breakfast.

Location wise this place deserves 5 stars because it's right on the boardwalk. There are seats available facing out the open air windows where you can grab a bite and/or drink and people watch the day away. Loved that so much. I'm sure this place is a blast at night too for watching big games or partying with groups. Food and service were more of a 3-4 star event though. The servers were super slow to bring over menus, take our orders, come back for refills, bring out our food, etc. It was a lot of neck craning and eye contact to get help. We ordered breakfast and portions were huge, but they got my order wrong, and the biscuits tasted like they were left in a fridge soaking up food smells. The rest of my tablemates were similarly bummed by the quality of the breakfast. Don't trash the place too badly though. This was one visit at the first hour of business on a sleepy day. Maybe Lunch and Dinner is far better, and maybe another breakfast visit could turn out to be fantastic too. If you're just looking for drinks by the beach, or want a high energy spot to watch the big game, you'll be very happy here.

I like bar food and sports, so I went to Mutt Lynch's about twice in one week since hockey playoffs are this time of year. Their food isn't too bad especially if you want to watch sports, enjoy greasy food with a friend, or need a quick bite after a beach day. I think kids are allowed until a certain time (but I'm not sure when) cos once the sun sets, they have a bouncer checking IDs. Lots of seating available. Service is ok. When you get inside, you can pick any table of your choosing and your server will find you. Also, the restrooms are clean! First time I came here, I tried the lemon pepper pterodactyl wings and sweet potato fries. The wings were kinda bland and needed ranch for flavor. The sweet potato fries were pretty greasy but went great with a beer. I've also tried their California Dreamin' burger with garlic fries. This burger was so yummy and filling!! The bun is like a grilled cheese and the toppings go so well together. The garlic fries were meh.

Summer was the BEST bartender. Drinks were fantastic. Heavy pour but light personality. Would. The vibe was lit. Great sunset views.

We came here a few weeks ago, and I still can't stop thinking about the food and the atmosphere. Since Mutt Lynch's is right by the beach, parking can be a bit of a challenge. You can pay to park in the beach lot and hope to catch someone leaving, or test your luck with the free neighborhood street parking. It's definitely worth the effort. We stopped by on a Sunday morning, hungry and excited to finally try this place. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what we were hoping for. The jukebox was playing everything from country to hip-hop, and somehow every song fit the energy perfectly. Great music, cold beer, and everyone just enjoying themselves made for such a fun experience. Even though there's a bouncer checking IDs at the entrance, there were families with kids there too, and it felt welcoming for everyone. Nobody was worried about anything except having a good time. If you go, do yourself a favor and order the Pteradactyl Chicken Wings and the Loaded Muchos Nachos. Both were absolutely delicious and are a must with an ice-cold beer. A special shoutout to Jill, who took such great care of us. She was genuinely kind, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back. Between the beach-town atmosphere, great food, drinks, and friendly service, it's easy to see why this place has become one of our favorites.

This is one of my sister in law's favorite bars in Newport, so we came in here while we were in town on vacation. We came relatively early on a Saturday, totally forgetting it was St. Patrick's Day weekend and this place would be poppin (which it definitely was as the day carried on). We were seated right away for breakfast. On weekends, they don't start serving lunch till 11:45am, but we got to enjoy their breakfast. I didn't even realize they serve food. We were seated in the upstairs area which was pretty awesome because you got more of a view of the ocean! It was awesome. The guy that seated us was one of the brothers that works there and he was so nice! He told us to let him know when we were ready to leave because it gets crazy and people try to steal tables hahah. He even tried to get us to stay later and offered to buy us all a shot if we did, which of course, my family never says no to, so they all got to enjoy that haha. He was fantastic! Our server was also amazing though I didn't get her name. The staff here really is outstanding! To eat, I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and a side of their fruit bowl. It was all really good. The food came out pretty quick which was great. My family all enjoyed their HUGE beers and mimosas. But really, the drinks look like they could be a bowl of soup haha. We loved it here and I'd definitely come back. Once the afternoon hit, they turned the music up for the St. Patrick's Day crowd. It was definitely a fun atmosphere!

Yesterday we held my dad's Celebration of Life at Mutt Lynch's, and I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and they made such an important and emotional day feel truly special. Thank you to everyone at Mutt Lynch's for helping create such a meaningful and memorable day. We will always be grateful for the kindness and exceptional service you showed our family. See you soon :)

Pretty neat heavy, as Irish food tends to be, but there are a few vegetarian friendly options. The chips with malt vinegar are tasty, the vegan nuggets are good, great accompanying sauce. Unfortunately, my recent visit was such a disappointment. Let's start with food. We ordered wings, chips and whipped feta. The wings had clearly been refrigerated and thrown on the grill for a hot second. The fat on them were soft and gelatinous and when I bit into it, the center was hard and super cold. It also smelled like a fridge. We sent them back and asked for a fresh batch but they had just taken the same ones and warmed them up. Very possible they were microwaved. I knew they were the ones I sent back because the wing I had taken a bite out of and spit out was right back on the plate. Then let's get into the chips. They were stale. They advertised them as home made and I don't doubt that but it's like they made them 3 days ago and left them out. They were cold and barely crispy. We sent these back as well and we got a slightly better batch but I wasn't going to argue this with the staff. The saving grace was the whipped feta. This was actually good. Nothing wow but it was edible since the other two items were such a huge let down. Now service. The lady that served us was very very sweet. However, not a great server. She disappeared and we needed to flag down another server for a refill. She was also not the one that we could talk to about our disappointing food. Another server had to come check on us. I don't think I could convince my husband to come back here, let alone spend money on this. It's unfortunate since I was hoping to share a slice of my former Newport stomping grounds with him.

The staff is attentive from the moment you enter, and this morning was particularly busy with limited table availability. Despite this, they promptly acknowledged our presence and exhibited exceptional friendliness and assistance. During the order taking process, they continued to provide helpful guidance. Although the tables were packed I think the ambiance was acceptable. The noise level remained low and the service was swift and quiet. The menu had everything we would want. We had the chicken-friend steak and eggs and briskets and gravy. Eggs were cooked excellently, biscuits were also excellent. Here are my suggestions. Chicken-fried steak - this item tastes and feels like frozen steak pre-breaded and fried - tossed in the microwave and covered with white cream gravy. This item needs to be raised to the level of freshly fried and not in seed oil but in avocado or coconut oil (both are high temp and non-toxic) The gravy is white cream and flavorless - it needs to receive the "drippings" from the fried steak, sausages, or bacon to produce brown gravy with some flavor. This establishment does not have espresso - every other breakfast place in OC does - Breakfast Republic, Poached Kitchen, Cracked Egg, etc. Servers can make good espresso if the espresso machine is automatic like a Jura with two bean trays and a milk reservoir. This is a profit center and most places have a dedicated person who continuously make espresso drinks.

We shared a bunch of things and there really wasn't a bad dish. The hummus with tomatoes and crispy bread was delicious, and we absolutely loved the meatballs in the slightly spicy curry sauce. We also had the pepper pasta, clams (one of my friends had never even tried clams and loved them!), cacio e pepe, and Mary's chicken. The chicken was Korean-style and came with kimchi green beans that somehow tasted a little like dill pickles -- in the best possible way. We loved them! The service, though, was just...odd. My bestie and I both ordered dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. Mine came with them, hers didn't, and neither martini was nearly dirty enough. Once we got some extra olive brine they were much better. But the funniest part was when we reminded our server that my friend was still missing her blue cheese olives. She came back with a skewer of them IN HER HAND and just handed it directly to my friend. No plate, no napkin, nothing. We all just looked at each other like, "Did that really just happen?" So overall, I'd absolutely come back because the food was THAT good. The kitchen gets an easy 5 stars from me. If the service had been at the same level, this would have been a five-star experience all around. For this visit, 4 stars -- but definitely worth going for the food!
