Cool speakeasy but it's miserable if you don't have a reservation or bar seat. We went on a Saturday in December at 530pm without a reservation, but we were hotel guests so supposedly you get priority seating. They were not using the upstairs space which was annoying. There's no good place to stand and hang while you wait for a table. Luckily, it seems to turn over and we did get a table for an hour. We enjoyed the cheese and charcuterie board, it was yummy but of course, pricy.

Love the vibe of this place. Drinks were amazing and free munchies. Didn't get to try the food but maybe we will next time. Service was good and prompt. Great place for a date! I loved my drink called Midnight Garden 10 out 10!

Ooo this Speak Easy has a super chic atmosphere and beautiful view at night. They have a DJ on the weekends who spins late into the night. You don't have to come dressed up, but when I visit next time I will def. put on my fancy shoes and pretty cocktail dress. The bartenders are very well versed in their specialty drinks and they even offer you little snacks with your drink. Love that!!

Very cool secret bar behind a fake exit door on the 17th floor of Raffles hotel. Hand crafted unique drinks that were very good. Very busy had to wait 30 min for a table.

Had a work dinner at Blind Duck recently and had a lovely time. The room is gorgeous with high windows and groovy velvet furniture. I had tuna appetiser and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was a very fun crunchy texture as there are nuts in it and they are pan seared. The boston cream pie was fantastic for dessert- literally so delicious. The staff were welcoming and quite professional. A great place for a celebratory meal!

Take elevator to 17th floor, then walk up this flight of stairs.

Very pretty decor and atmosphere. The device is really great, but it is on the smaller side. I've been told it gets packed here, so be mindful when you choose to patron this establishment. It's a cocktail lounge, so there's only finger foods available. There a full bar with several drink options, I ordered a gimlet and it was just okay. Great place to go to meet up with friends or a date night.

Was not sure what to make of this "speakeasy" but glad we ended up trying it. We had reservations at La Padrona (first floor of Raffles), and wanted to have a cocktail at "Long Bar", but we did not expect that the entire place would be reserved. The hostess suggested we try "Blind Duck" and directed us, but did not say it was a speakeasy, hidden behind what looked like an emergency exit door! There were people waiting in line, and oddly, the door would open and they would take a party in, the door would close, and you would wait 5 minutes or so until they took the next party. It felt odd and unwelcoming, but once we made it inside, it was all good. The bar had just reached capacity and we were seated at the other upper level. Our mission was to try the famous Raffles Singapore Sling, which was quite good. I'm not a connoisseur of this particular cocktail so hard for me to say if it was "great", but I enjoyed it, as did everybody in our party. Once our server found out it was my wife's birthday she brought over a nice appetizer on the house, completely unexpected. A cool spot to hang and have a drink, but know that the bars at Raffles take reservations, and you might not get in without one!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place amid the range of reviews. I walked in not sure what to expect. Maybe because we walked in on a Thursday night after dinner, we got seated right away without any wait. The host and our server were actually friendly as well. The place was dark but just the right amount to set the vibes. The view was the selling point. I've been to another bar at the same place and safe to say Blind Duck has the better view. The drinks were pricey as expected. They were good but not phenomenal, but still strong tho. It can get pretty loud as the night progresses. All in all, a pretty solid fancy bar. Definitely go there if you want to drink and chill with nice views. Personally, this is more of a one time thing. -7/10

Had such a great time at blind duck! It was so fun to be in a Boston speakeasy that had immaculate views! We came in the after hours of the Kentucky Derby & it was definitely packed. We ordered a round a drinks, it felt very luxurious being so high in the sky. We would venture back here for more drinks.

Elegant Setting, Great Cocktails The Blind Duck Cocktail Lounge offers a refined, intimate atmosphere with stunning city views. The sleek two-story design and dim lighting create a sophisticated yet comfortable vibe. The seasonally curated cocktails are both inventive and well-balanced, showcasing top-tier ingredients and craftsmanship. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, with bartenders to guide you through the menu. While it can get busy, the experience remains enjoyable. Make sure to make a reservation if you want a table though, we got lucky and scored a few seats at the bar but it is quite popular amongst the Boston crowd! A must-visit for cocktail lovers in Boston.

Prepare yourself early as your first entry into this speakeasy is a walk down a dramatic staircase into the main seating area. Even if you do your best Gloria Swanson impression, sadly they may not be looking at you but at the amazing view of the Back Bay flanking both sides of the room. We were seated at the bar downstairs and had a first hand view of the bartenders practicing their craft. Blowtorches ablaze infused a lingering smoky wood flavor to my spicy mezcal. I enjoyed the flavor, but wanted more heat from the habanero on the back end (I was told later that they can jazz it up, if you ask). The other drink pictured is a Grey Goose with a mix of spices -- not too sweet and an interesting flavor palette. I followed with a duck fat bourbon, which had a nice bit of texture making it much more interesting than the one at No. 9 Park (where the drink was supposedly invented). We were on our way to dinner so didn't eat, but I have it on good authority that the onion dip is divine. Overall a great stop for a romantic drink or to gather with friends.

Absolutely love this place. The cocktails are incredible. Spectacular views of Boston. Pricey cocktails (approx $20) but worth it for the view and taste. Drinks are served with snacks!

Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
