Biergarten is an awesome spot here in East Boca. They offer over 24 different beers on tap that you wouldn't normally find somewhere else. They carry some local craft brews and some German beers like Franzikaner both the weissbier and the dark weissbier, Konig Ludwig, Warsteiner (pilsner and Dunkel) and Radaberger. They offer Happy Hour from 4 to 7 pm and from 10 pm to 2 am - $4 brews, $5 specialty cocktails, $6 for a good glass of wine (they offer various awesome wines from all regions - Austria, South Africa). Overall a great place to drink and catch up with friends. Food wise, I've had some great items. If your someone that wants to enjoy some great German food and don't have any diet limitations, this a great spot to eat. Their speatzle is amazing! I get the herbed speatzle, the cheese is more like a alfredo type dish. The chicken snitchel is delicious - well prepared, great flavor! They have some awesome appetizers like the Godfried's Fondue where they offer the bratwurst, knockwurst and tempura broccoli to dip into a little lighted kettle of their bier cheese they make with the Warsteiner Dunkel. For vegans, they offer a Alpine Tray full of veggies (broccoli florets, carrots, cucumbers, pickles and pretzel bites) that they serve with a cream cheese type dip (vegans can opt out and just eat the veggies). Staff, I love the staff. I've been waited on by primarily male bartenders. The males wear lederhosen and the girls wear a corset an black skirt. It's amusing and creates some interesting ambiance. Dan is a great bartender, friendly attentive, professional. If he's around I promise you great service. Overall, great place. My family and I live in Boca Raton, FL and you'd think that anywhere you'd go here would be safe. But, we were proven wrong. My mom got her purse stolen at this bar in December of 2011. The thieves are working with the management at this bar. My mom, dad, brother, and a family friend were all sitting on the patio of the bar. The manager, a young white lady, walked towards the outside of the bar to sweep something off the street right next to our table (seriously, who does that?!). After that, this shady guy with a hat came from the inside of the bar, snatched my moms pursue, and took off in a ready-to-go car. After having reported this to the police, it turns out that the ONLY camera that wasn't working at the Biergarten was the one facing our table. The management refuses to speak about this incident with anyone. Theft is a serious problem in Florida. It's bad enough people are stealing, but it's much worse when you have the bar/restourant/whatever facility you are in working with them! I warn you, please do not go here. It's not safe and this isn't a gimmick. The police are still investigating this incident. This experience has traumatized us all and no one else should have to go through this. I'm a firm believer in reviews and I feel that people should take the time to read them and spread the word to their friends. read more

If you're familiar with or appreciate authentic German culture, avoid this place. I visited on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn't busy, but the bartender took 10 minutes to ask, "What do you want?"--no greeting, no "hello," no "welcome." I ordered French onion soup and veal schnitzel, and they both arrived at the same time. Typically, you'd expect the soup or appetizer to come first. There were no salt and pepper shakers, and the server didn't even ask if I needed them. Instead of showing Bundesliga futbol for example Leverkusen- Bayern Munchen 3-3, they had American sports on the TV, accompanied by loud, ghetto gangster rap music--definitely not the atmosphere you'd expect, especially during Oktoberfest. None of the staff were wearing traditional Oktoberfest uniforms, and the entire experience felt disconnected from anything German. The food was terrible too--boiled-over, microwaved French onion soup and chewy veal schnitzel. Overall, very poor service and a disappointing experience. I went here with some friends for a nice night out in Boca and was incredibly disappointed. I'd heard ok reviews about the place but wanted to try it out for myself and unfortunately didn't have a pleasant experience. The food was awful, minus their famous pretzel, and the service was less than decent. We sat at the bar and had a bartender that was unfriendly and rude (male redhead). The beer selection was fantastic but didn't make up for the unpleasant service. It's a bit pricey, which I don't mind when I'm paying for quality drinks, but it's money down the drain when the service is that horrible. My friends and I would never go back to this place if you payed us! This bar is just a fad that's ran by poor management. Plus, I heard they were shut down for a period of time due to an unsatisfactory health inspection. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. The restaurant itself might have potential, but the behavior of one of the bartenders (SHARON) was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. This bartender not just serve customers but also exchange phone numbers with married men -- including my husband. Such behavior shows a complete lack of ethics and respect for customers and their families. It's shocking that management allows this type of conduct to happen in their establishment. I strongly urge the management to address this issue immediately, as it damages the restaurant's reputation and makes guests feel extremely uncomfortable. I stopped going to Biergarten for a while since an incident with one of their managers: Erik. we saw him yelling and abusing his staff so we mentioned something and instead of apologizing for making public his issues in front of us, he actually was extremely rude to me and my friends. So we decided not to come back but yesterday was a rainy day and we were craving some nice German food and beer. To my surprise, there were very few waiters on a Sunday and we had Sebastian serve us. If you go there, ask for him, you won't miss him, he's like 6'5" Anyway he was so helpful, attentive and respectful we actually overstayed thanks to him, very funny guy too! This place has only gone down hill since my review. I honestly haven't been one time since where there hasn't been a problem. I used to go when that NJ creep guy worked there, the one who stole thousands of dollars using the managers discount card. I was told that it was under new management and was going to spring back from that... it clearly didn't happen. Poor service, not so stellar food, no good cider on tap... uh.... lacking. Why on a $1 brat monday night with football on, in a college town, is this place like a ghost town... yeah we all know this place is still crappy and probably at this rate, not gonna last, thats precisely why. Should have known better having just returned from vacation in Germany and Austria that this would not meet my expectation. The advertised 2 for 1 Tuesday schnitzel peeked our interest. The order was processed but literally took 1 hour for the food to arrive, waitress brought us fries to hold us over, not sure if the cook was out or what happened. Imitation meat schnitzel came to our table but after 1 bite we both returned them, inedible, tough and salty. Replacement of curry wurst was a slight improvement but we won't be back. I went to this psuedo german restaurant on Saturday for lunch. The service is dilatory. My wife's small spinach salad was $18.00. My meal was a battered up fish with a bunch of small fries all for $18.00. I lived in Germany for 54 months so I am somewhat familiar with german restaurants. I was never offered a refill on my ice tea. The place did have a great looking beer menu. I will not go back. There are far too many good to great restaurants in the area. read more

I had a fantastic time at the Biergarten! The atmosphere is fun, and our waitress was super friendly, adding to the great experience. The pumpkin beer was amazing--definitely a must-try! Plus, the pretzel was delicious as always. The only hiccup was that the bartender couldn't do a sugar rim on the pumpkin beer, which seemed surprising. Still, this place is a great spot to relax and enjoy good drinks and snacks. read more

Had a party at Biergarten on October 24th 2015. Our experience was phenomenal. We had a 35lb suckling pig along with plenty of sides orchestrated by Thomas. I love the atmosphere at this place and the location. The beers are pricey but it's a good time if you are just having one or two beers with some friends. Excellent place to watch sports games. They have enough TV's I wouldn't say the most like Buffalo Wild Wings but Enough to watch a any sport game with ease. The upstairs lounge area is pretty sweet. Recommend the soft pretzel read more

Very disappointed to see this place not require their staff and employees wear masks. Almost all the restaurants in Boca mandate it. Shows arrogance and a lack of respect for a community.
