I took a friend out visiting from Philly and he had great things to say about the Biergarten. The German beer Warsteiner was the best out of their wide selection of German beers. The schnitzel is super authentic, with the right amount of breading and the mushroom gravy was the right consistency. Just like mom used to make back home. Bratwurst and sauerkraut was bursting with flavor. The wide selection of mustards was impressive to the palate. Must try mustard was Maui onion. All in all the place gets a 10 out of 10. Not having had any beer for a couple of years now, this place definitely hit the spot. The waitress was friendly and nice. She did select some good options to try out, although, a couple were an acquired taste. I didn't get to try the food, so this experience is mostly for the bar. But, from what I saw the other patrons order, I'd give that a whirl, for sure. They have seating around the bar, high bar tables inside and plenty of seating outside. Walking distance to the beach and very open concept. If you're looking for value, good experience, all you need is some good company and the times will follow. Today I am the Only person sitting at the bar, two employees behind the bar and after 15 minutes and me saying "excuse me...excuse me.... I finally got their attention. This has been the case. What a fun atmosphere and great food! I went here for the first time last Friday around 6:30 with a friend. It was pretty busy, but we ordered and found a table outside. They bring the food to you promptly and are very friendly. You are responsible for going inside to get your condiments as there are over six types of mustard in addition to ketchup, ranch, etc. I ordered the goat cheese, bacon and fig pizza, which was absolutely delicious, and my friend ordered the chicken nuggets. My personal favorite was the Schwartzbier, a more unique one that I have tried. It is rich in color but don't let that fool you, it is smooth and light much like a traditional lager. The pretzel was a great pairing with the beer flight, the mustard sauce was especially tasty. Finally the pizza was thin and crispy, with just enough kick in the pepperoni. Our friends ordered a pizza, which they devoured. The salads were good, but had so much arugula. I wished there would have been more beets and goat cheese in mine. They offer a flight for those still figuring out their vibe too. Their food menu also gives a range from apps like fries, pretzels, sausages to full on meals like pizza, salads and burgers. They offer vegan options too! I've had their fries, margarita pizza, sausage sampler and Bavarian pretzel. When they first opened, I felt like they didn't have great options for non-beer drinkers. They have expanded both their food and drink menu since opening and have great options for everyone! I love sharing the Sausage Sampler platter with a couple people, because it ends up being a lot of food, and then you can try a couple of things (plus I always add a side of fries). My favorite sausages are the cheddar bacon, three pepper, and Italian with goat milk cheddar. The Kielbasa is one of the most unique sausage flavors I have tried. Love this place! It's my go to spot now, they have indoor and outdoor seating, you can also sit at the bar. When you first walk in you'll notice a valet, don't let this fool you, it's the entrance. Once you walk in, you'll place you'll order and if food if you wish, they'll direct you to stand by the bar and pick up your beer there, if you order food they'll give you a number. I recommend finding a seat before ordering so you're not walking around with your beer. If you want some water go up to the bar and help yourself to the pitchers. Frat boys with beer boots, rugby teams celebrating a win, people just having some beer, all around a complete mishmash, but it works. The pretzel is good but the cheese is absolutely amazing. If I could use it as a pasta sauce I would. Honestly just get the pretzel for the cheese sauce. They also have wine here and offer beer flights. When you order a beer boot they hold onto your ID since apparently they have a problem with people stealing the boot. Chill spot to grab some beers and food with friends! You order at the counter, wait by the bar to get your beer, and pick a table where the servers will bring your food. My boyfriend and I got a pint of beer each. The boot size option looked fun, but too much beer for us! I was disappointed that they didn't have the currywurst or Italian with goat milk cheddar available when I went because those would've been half of our sausage sampler. We ended up getting the kielbasa, bratwurst, hot Italian, and three pepper. All were juicy and had nice grill marks. I liked that you could tell which sausage was which from both looks and taste, but I personally wasn't a fan of the side pickles and mustard dipping sauces. Unlike the reviews and photos I've seen here, our sausage sampler did not come with sauerkraut, grilled onions, bacon, or fries; I don't know if they stopped serving those sides or just forgot. Either way, those included sides would've made the sampler more satisfying and more worth the $25. The thin crust fig buck goat pizza was yummy though with sweetness from the dried figs, saltiness from the bacon, and creaminess from the goat cheese. Since Hoffmann Brat Haus closed downtown, I'm glad that Biergarten is filling in that niche with beers and sausages! read more

The sausages are moist and tasty, the mustard on the side adds flavor to the sausages but not too much that it's overwhelming . The fries were your typical french fry, not anything I've not had before. But the pretzel did made a lasting impression on my taste buds. It was doughy, not dry, and a carb loaders dream. I was a bit disappointed in the service. We had reservations due to our large group and they lost the reservation list. So we had to wait for an extra table to open up to accommodate our group. I also felt our waiter was stretched too thin. He was covering multiple tables and was having a difficult time juggling them. I don't think it was any fault of his, he was assigned to too many groups. Aside from our reservation being lost and having to share our waiter with too many diners, all in all I loved Biergarten. If you haven't come here yet due to COVID snows your chance! Super awesome vibes and a plus if you like beer. Biergarten doesn't disappoint with its beer choices. It ranges from pints to a boot so you can choose what ever tickles your fancy. The house beer tastes like honey and I would definitely recommend. Food was not a crowd pleaser but it pleased me. This place is a beer garden anyway. Went in the afternoon and the sausages were good enough for us to come again for dinner. If you want sausages I recommend the sampler which ranges from 3-4 sausages. It comes with grilled onions, sauerkraut, pickles, bacon or fries (chose one), and sauces. The casing on the sausage is a bit tough but if you're hungry you'll definitely chow down on it now problem. The schnitzel was also pretty good! The piece of meat was bigger than my head and I have a big head. Was super good and you get a choice of fries or German potato's.
