We stopped for bagels and vegan "cream cheese" this morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ordered a variety of bagels and the southwestern tofuttis. All have been really good and are hitting the spot on the drive to Tucson. The apple cinnamon is delicious enough to eat plain. The pictures of the dogs made me very sad. Yet it is also very sweet that someone loved them enough to have their pictures hanging as a tribute to a lost friend. read more

Best bagel I've ever had. They have a great selection of bagels and different types of cream cheese to put on top of it. I also enjoyed looking around the at the different pictures of peoples dogs. As an animal person, it was even a bigger plus when people were bringing their dogs in as they were enjoying bagels. This is a friendly neighborhood bagel spot. The bagels are hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Great bagel schmears and breakfast sandwiches. It is also kind of a shrine for deceased dogs where owners put a picture of their beloved pets on the walls. Not creepy but very endearing. read more

Although the place smells like the steamy Subway bread, I like the fact that they are true dog lovers. They have great bagels and mostly great people working. Except in this one occasion when I asked the cashier about a large esspresso as stated on the menu. She asked me if I wanted it with water and how many shots. The establishment was clean and it looked as though they had good breakfast options. However, they did not have the vegan friendly options that were on their menu. They did not have peanut butter, nor did they have any vegan cream cheese in stock. Additionally, it is a cash-only business (which is fine) but their ATM was not working. Luckily my fiancé had cash, but this is rare for us and we were banking on using the ATM. The entire experience was frustrating, but we ended up settling on getting their veggie bagel sandwich on everything bagels. I don't have any issue with the food, drinks, or service. They're all fine, nothing out of this world. But the decor in this place is absolutely eerie. The walls are covered with pictures of people's dead pets. And you know this because nearly every one of them has a set of dates on it. Visited for the first time today and was very disappointed. Ordered the bagel with lox, cream cheese, red onion, tomatoes and capers sandwich. What I received was a good garlic bagel with a small amount of lox, two very thin pieces of a tiny plum tomato, two very thin rings of sliced red onion and 5 capers total on the whole sandwich. Definitely not worth $8.75. I returned to the counter and asked for more tomato, red onion and capers and was met with a snarl from the girl working the counter. Won't be going back. read more

I have been coming to Biff's off-and-on for over 10 years now. And, the one thing that remains consistent is their unbelievably shitty customer service. There is usually 4-5 people working in the back area which is only about 10x20 ft. They are ALWAYS gossiping and their inefficiency is something that you truly have to see to believe. The 2 older and very weathered couple that work in there look as though they are being held at gunpoint and being forced to look as pathetic and miserable as possible. I dare you to try and get older, pink bastard in there to make eye contact with you...go ahead, I dare you. Their bagels alone are good for the most part but their bagel sandwiches are just terrible. And, it seems that no matter what bagel you get you are bound to have at least one bite with a piece of onion in it. I think it is some weird inside, but very unfunny, joke they must have going on. The only reason that they are not getting one star is because there are 3 young people who work in there that are exceptionally pleasant to deal with. One of them is a really tall female and the other 2 are the only young males that work there. If you ever find yourself in this hellhole, seek one of those 3 people out for service. If you don't see them, head straight out the door to Dunkin' Donuts. Their bagels are not as good, but at least you wont get emotionally crapped on. Oh, and for those who are visiting my great town, this is NOT typical Flagstaff service. Everyone here is really nice which is the whole reason I moved here from Philly 10 years ago. I am a student at NAU, which isn't too far from Biff's Bagels. At first the place looked charming, but once I walked in I immediately noticed the dirt and apparent smell of dogs. Don't get me wrong I love dogs and I love seeing them and petting them, but just not when I'm trying to eat. I went up to the counter to order some food and the employee looked right at me and turned around and started having a conversation with a coworker. I waited patiently until they were done have their conversation and I ordered. I went to go pay for my food and there was another employee at the cash register who LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND TURNED AWAY TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THEIR COWORKER. Again I waited patiently for them to finish their conversation, but it never ended. The employee rung me up while still talking to the other coworker and handed me my receipt. Over all the customer service was horrible. I don't know in what world it's appropriate to have a conversation with a coworker while you're ringing a customer up. Anyways, I got my bagel and it was so good. The bagel and cream cheese were amazing!!!!!!!!! But it definitely was not worth the horrible customer service.
