    Pedro: Thank you
    Nick M.

We needed a yearly parking adventure hiking pass. I called around. Big 5 is the only place that had them. I went in and Pedro helped me out. They are quick and the line moved fast. They are fully stocked with sporting goods, reels, shoes and anything else needed for sports. Pedro showed me options for the pass. I was going to get a day pass for 5.00. We are going to hike a lot more than 6 times this year. The yearly pass is 30.00. I highly recommend Big 5 for the prices and variety of in stock options.

I rarely write a review and I could not done it at this time since the whole store staff were so kind and helpful I wanted to really make them stand out over all for their service, dedication, professionalism and of course just kind human beings. Five star all around to all 4 staff members: Valerie Pedro Victoria Anthony

I found my babies shoes on line, called the store, and asked them to,hold them for me. easy and courteous.

Big 5 Sporting Goods has stood the test of time and outlasted both Sports Authority and Sports Chalet. With both sporting goods stores out of business , Big 5 is pretty much your only sporting goods option in Burbank . The store is clean and easy to navigate with signs all over the store indicating the department section. The hunting section is still well stocked with ammunition,, knives, and rifles . Big 5 always has great deals in their weekly ads, especially for shoes. The one downfall is help on the floor. You will be hard pressed to find an associate outside the cashier station walking the floor assisting customers. A lot of the stuff at big 5 you can find at Walmart but do you really want to deal with that mess?! I recommend This location if you already know what you want and you don't need much assistance. Parking is plentiful.

It has been a while not shopping at Big 5 Sporting Goods in Burbank, CA from the moment you walk in I noticed a welcoming ambiance from the store employees. Liam from the beginning was very helpful. To seek on the inventory and in the back room for a pair of hiking shoes. Definitely was a steal of the day the Bearpaw Olympus Women's Hiker Shoes from $49.99 to $19.00 a whooping 62% off. But there was no luck on finding it physically. Until, Christian found it, both of them took the time to search for it. I was elated when Christian handed the box to me. Thank you Christian! for taking an extra time in addition of your regular duties to make a gleeful customer. Plus, I ended buying a 2nd pair of hiking boots another steal of the day. Will definitely go back to shop for other sporting goods at Big 5 Sporting Goods.

If you're looking for decent price sports gear, I usually find it at big 5. It's great if you're on budget.

The store is one of the worst in the chain. The manager "Jesus" is immature and clueless. I hope the other stores are better staffed?

Ask the Community - Big 5 Sporting Goods

Does this store sell dumbbells and weights? I don't need guns and ammunition.

Lol! Yes, it is a standard sporting goods store. I've bought baseball gloves here, balls, resistance bands, workout gloves... they have a selection. Albeit, kinda small

I wish I got the young gentleman's name because it seemed like he was one of the only ones in the store who 1) knew where things were 2) could perform an assigned task 3) actually help us out. The reason I am saying this is because we went to the cash register upstairs and the cashier was uncertain that the service was downstairs. Not a big deal, she radioed them and confirmed where we could go. Easy. We go downstairs and show that cashier the glove (brand new, just bought for christmas) and that guy did not know how to do the steaming services, which was also fine because he asked another staff member who helped us, HOWEVER, the first guy told us the cost of it (which there is no cost because after a certain price glove it is a free service). The second guy (bless him) corrected him and stated the price of the glove and why it's free. As the worker was breaking in the glove the other guy cashier asked him multiple questions about where things were, if they did certain services, if he could help this other guest. Honestly that cashier guy was doing NOTHING. This is all in the midst of our guy fitting the glove which consists of steaming and banging it with a mallet which could be dangerous! Just seemed like an unprofessional thing to do. Now maybe this guy was new so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but seriously it seemed like he didn't even bother trying to figure it out on his own before turning the the gentleman helping us. All in all the service was great, he was knowledgeable and answered the questions we had! It seemed like there was a large selection of inventory and some decent sales. I would go back if I needed something from dick's specifically

I came here on Saturday looking for a specific item and no employees were of help. I couldn't even find an employee to help me which is odd because there usually is an employee or two walking around fixing things but not this time. I found what i needed and went to pay and the cashiers were so inattentive. It felt more so like a get out of here so we can continue to talk which is actually what it was because as soon as i finished paying and left, thats exactly what happened. The friendliness and helpfulness this location used to have is gone. Which sucks because this was my favorite Dick's location. What a shame

When the transaction was completed I stuck my handout for the receipt (out of habit-I never care for receipts) and I was met with a response "you can't return food" .. I had a hard time understanding what she was saying because I was so thrown back by it. Why was she telling me you can't return the snacks I'm about to eat? I really was confused. By the end I was being looked at like I was garbage. Maybe they didn't my disability from my time in the Marine Corps. Maybe they didn't like my disheveled look on a Friday afternoon (I'm an attorney and own a firm, I wear a suit everyday so when Friday afternoon comes around and I leave work I could care less on the way home). What was even more awkward was what all the other employees started saying "do you need help" do you need this " as if I was a Ticking time bomb. I just left and said "everything t is all right stop worrying". I'm still confused by there encounter. Maybe it was my ethnicity maybe they thought I was trying to do something I'm not supposed to because I walked around the entire store while waiting for my fiance a block down. Anyways that's not my issue.
