Please allow me to tell you just how good this business is... The Burbank shop has a wide selection of all kinds of singles (sports, Pokemon, One Piece, etc.) that are accurately priced. There's a large variety of sealed product, too. The staff (Nathan, Daniel, E.J., Marvin, etc.) are super-friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed. Plus if I want to sell/trade cards, it can be done very quickly - no entering your name into a computer then waiting 20 minutes for somebody to look at your stuff. The percentages paid are generous and fair. Finally, they have extended hours so it's convenient to swing by after work or at night to score the items you want. The Glendale location is mainly manned by Sam and he is great to deal with on all levels. The selection is pretty good meaning the showcases are well-stocked. While there is no buyer in Glendale to sell your cards to, the Burbank location is close-by anyway. I have recently had a plethora of satisfying transactions at both L A Sports Cards shops and they have definitely earned my loyalty. Highly recommended! read more

Pretty disappointing experience. We brought two young boys who were excited about Pokémon cards, but the staff was not very welcoming or interested in engaging with them. When one of the kids needed to use the restroom, we were told no and sent down the street in 90-degree heat. We did buy a few packs, and my son pulled a card he was really excited about. It would have been nice if someone there had shown even a little enthusiasm and shared that moment with him. Had a great experience at this card shop. I went in with my family looking for Pokémon cards singles and packs. They had a huge variety and were reasonably priced.the staff was friendly , let us look around without hovering over us which I highly appreciate, they just said "let us know if you have any questions or would like to see anything in the cases." We found plenty of singles to buy and even ripped our packs in store, they were even nice enough to give us sleeves for the hits we pulled. If I could give this store 0 stars I would... I recently bought a 2024-25 Panini Prizm Basketball box from this store for $550, thinking it was a U.S. VERSION. I knew exactly what I was buying in terms of format -- number of packs, not a hobby box -- but what wasn't disclosed was that it was a T-Mall Asia-exclusive edition that typically sells online for $90-$110. As someone who's purchased cards from plenty of U.S. shops, I had no reason to expect an Asia-specific product would be sold here, let alone marked up over 450%. The box doesn't say "T-Mall" anywhere, and no one at the store explained the difference. The associate even acknowledged how easy it is to confuse this version with standard U.S. releases -- yet the burden was still placed entirely on me. When I spoke with the owner, he seemed more concerned with his own financial loss than with the fact that a customer had been completely misled. There was no ownership of the mistake and no acknowledgment that it's the store's responsibility to ensure buyers understand what they're purchasing -- especially when it comes to such a major regional variation in product. He apologized but didn't even try to financially reconcile the situation. I won't be returning. If you're shopping here, be extremely careful and ask very specific questions -- because the store clearly won't volunteer the information. What you think you are buying may not be what you get. And 450% upcharge? No thanks. read more

Well...I'm very happy we gave this place a shot. Its a spacious store with an excellent selection of Pokemon cards... going almost all the way around the store. They also have a good selection of binders and card protectors. The guys who run the store are very nice and welcoming and answered all of my son's questions plus gave him a website where he can look up the value of his current cards.
