Meh. I ordered here for the first time about a week ago, husband said the sub was eh but the BBQ pizza we ordered was great except for the ridiculous price for a small that was almost the size of a Celeste personal pizza. Also I got a crispy chicken Caesar salad to share. That to me was the best. Ordered a second time and the pizza this time was kinda gross. Today I ordered and will be my last order ever to big Al's. Pizza like someone else said the sauce and cheese has a microwaveable taste to it. I was tempted to get my salad again, the one decision I regret making was to not get it and get boneless buffalo wings. They looked black as soon as I opened them, no sauce on them what so ever which was whatever. But the part that kills me is that they were soggy as soggy could be and barely warm. I suggest picking up if you do decide to order, took them over 45 minutes for someone who lives a 5 minute drive away. Another thing that's helping me sway my decision to never order here again was my delivery driver. Not only did he not follow the instructions I added to my online order, he came to my kitchen back door barely knocked, thank god I was in there to go "huh? What was that noise?" And open the door to look. He also didn't even say anything looked at me like I had four heads when I said "hey how are you" he mumbled my total and left. I regret even giving this guy a tip. Been going here for a long time until now. March 2, 2018 I placed an order for a combo grinder and when the order was put in, the manger outright refused to make it and cursed out the employee for even taking the order. No explanation was given why my order was refused and yelling and cursing at the was person who took the order was so over the top. Never going back again. The real Big Al should have never left. read more

Used to go here with friends oh maybe between 5-7 years ago every other weekend at minimum. The place was awesome, the staff was the best. Hadn't been in the area since about 4 years ago. Stopped by, found out it's under new ownership that was surprising but I couldn't wait to get a Big Al's Pizza. Yeah right. Not sure what happened. Orders were messed up, the food was gross. Come on I could have made a better sub when I was 19 in college at 3am after 13 beers. Many old friends had similar experience. Staying far away! read more

I work at a company that is literally less that a mile from this resturant. Frequently, we order food to provide the employees lunch during meetings. These meetings are generally small and are usually no more than 10 people at the most. To ensure that the food is on time (for the beginning of the meeting or shortly thereafter), we call the resturant prior to their opening or at exactly 11 am to place our small delivery order and emphasize the importance of the order being delivered on time (these meeting are usually for the department supervisors). Today, the supervisiors meeting was scheduled for 11:30 am. The resturant was called at 10:15, a gentleman answered, took my order of 7 salads and ensured me the food would be delivered at 11:30 or shortly thereafter. At 12pm, the food still had NOT arrived. A call was placed to the resturant inquiring as to the ETA of our delivery. The man who answered the phone (the owner or manager Im assuming) said the food "was just going out the door and would be there momentarily". 12:15pm still NO food. Again a call was placed asking where the delivery was. Again the same man said the food was "just going out the door". 12:20pm still NO food. Finally, at 12:30 the meeting was over and still NO food. Angry, and embarrassed the supervisors were promised a "lunch meeting" a third call was placed to the resturant asking about the delivery. The same gentleman answered. After again being told (for the 3rd time) the "food was leaving the store now", I explained how important it had been for the food to have been delivered on time. His reply? "we had a lot of to go orders, what do you want me to do? I reiterated that the delivery order was placed at 10:15 and that I was assured the food would arrive on time and asked how many other delivery orders were placed at 10:15 when my order was placed and don't they deliver on a first come first serve basis? His answer was to essentially call me a liar and tell me that I did not place the order at 10:15 and repeated "we have a lot of delivery orders what do you want me to do"? I proceeded to tell him that "we patronize the resturant at least a couple times a week and give a great deal of money to the establishment" and "would like money back or some kind of discount seeing the food is no longer needed, as it was over an hour late, and the "lunch meeting" is now over. I was told "I can't do that, I have a lot of delivery orders what do you want me to do?" I was offered no alternative or remedy to compensate for their lack of attention and horrendous customer service. BEWARE!!! This place allows you to request a delivery time but does NOT CARE OR HONOR YOUR REQUEST. I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT HAVE PLACED MY ORDER AT THE TIME I DID (ESSENTIALLY CALLING ME A LIAR (which they should look into because clearly someone is breaking into their resturant in the morning before they open and taking customers orders) AND THEN THEY OFFER NO RECOURSE OR COMPENSATION TO LOYAL CUSTOMERS THAT THEY SIGNIFICANTLY SCREW OVER. read more

Wow the pizza here is just plain terrible. While the crust isn't bad, the sauce Nd cheese give this pizza the flavor of a cheap microwavable frozen pizza. read more

This was the worst experience of my life horrible customer service. This place is one of the worst restaurants I've ever ordered from. Never! I repeat never get take out from this place. By the end of the night Big Al's Pizza will be leaving you hungry confused and frustrated. So me and my friends are having a good time watching the Celtics and Bruins playoff games, when we wanted to order a pizza and bbq chicken bites. So we go ahead and order our food and they tell us that it will take about 50 minutes. About 1 hr and 30 later they call and say that they are outside. My friend and I go outside where there is nobody in the parking lot. As we waited a few minutes in the cold a kid comes up reffing his engine. He rolls down his window and then says that he was sorry he took so long and that he didn't want to get a ticket. He then gives us our order and we go inside. Once inside we open the box of pizza. The pizza was warm but not hot and it was barely even cut. It was like they used a spoon to slice it. Once we opened the other box we noticed that they had messed up our order. They had given us some gross fried pepper type shit! After calling them to tell them they messed up they never called us and when we tried to call back they neglected to answer the phone. I was so angry that they would have such horrible customer service along with their extremely poor performance on their food quality! Thanks Big Al's Pizza for ruining my night because the Celtics and Bruins lost and I was really pissed off!!! read more

off and on tried this place for 5 years, 5 years ago was really food- even had thme cater an event, then the food started going down, so Ive tried about once to twice a year since three years ago and tonight i had pizza and wings and the Pizza is horrible. I had the kitchen sink and it was Soggy, limited toppings (so not sure why soggy) and no flavor at all. The wings are breaded whick in my opinion is os old style, which makes them just barely so-so. So not sure how they have good reviews on the food. I heard three or so years ago food went down cuz the chef i guess its still the same. Anyway this was my last time to get pizza from Al's...So many more choices. Heck even my 99 cent pizza that i add indegridents to blows their pizza away! read more

Went to Big Al's tonight for Fish and Chips which comes with salad and cole slaw at a cost of $7.99 each. When I picked up our dinners I was charged for 2 Haddock Dinners off their "Friday Menu" which cost $10.25 each with cole slaw only. I brought this to the attention of the counter help and then to the owner and he said that he doesn't offer the Fish and Chips anymore, just the Haddock Dinners. When I placed my order over the phone I confirmed that what i was ordering came with the salad i was told it did. I looked at the online menu and when I was speaking to the owner, I pointed it out to him on the overhead menu that it said the same in the restaurant as online. His explanation was that "I don't sell just fish and chips anymore just seafood off the Friday menu." He didn't even offer any type of compensation for the miss understanding.
