Went last night to try this place. I will definitely be back. Got the spicy Galbi wings Kim chi fried rice and a bowl of the ramen. Ate in restaurant for full experience. Server was great and attentive and friendly, Place was very clean, decor was a bit odd, but bright and airy. Had little button on wall at table to call server. All the food was great, hot fresh crispy, the egg on the rice was perfect sunny side up. All the food had nice flavor a bit spicy but not too much. I would skip the ramen next time, not as good as the wings and the fried rice. Looking forward to trying other flavors. Looks like they do good take out business. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable for these days. Everything is Ala carte so it adds up quick. Walked in here on a Saturday randomly for the first time. Luckily it's located in a strip mall with lots of shared parking. The menu is pretty extensive with all the various flavors and toppings that you can choose for your chicken however it was a little disappointing that when you order large numbers of the chicken that you cannot have multiple flavors. Prices for Korean chicken wings and Korean fried chicken in general in the Chicago suburban area is pretty pricey considering the breakdown per piece. This place was no different. We waited in the restaurant for the order to be ready as we were taking it back home to eat. This took well more than 35 minutes of waiting and there was nobody in the restaurant. However there were a lot of online orders being made for pick up. Lesson learned either order ahead of time or perhaps have extra time to wait and or enjoy in the restaurant. Compared to its competitors in the suburban market I think this place just like all the other ones need to find white truly makes it unique and stand out but it is still very tasty and enjoyable. read more

We had a party of five and we all got the lunch special. The lunch special comes with boneless chicken with the flavor of your choice, choice of potato, and drink. I got the maple flavored boneless chicken wings, sweet potato fries, and a Mountain Dew. The service was incredibly slow. It took half an hour to our order. The food was good but nothing special. K-Drama fans! This is THAT chicken joint all the way from South Korea! And it does not disappoint! Love it! KFC in the northern burbs! The chicken was done just right! So juicy! The Golden Original was so crispy and smelled delicious. It was satisfying to bite into it! The secret spicy reminded me of a better version of kkampoongee. Y'all, if you love chicken wings as much as I do, you NEED to check out bbq Chicken. It's a South Korean take on chicken, and honest to God, bbq chicken is one of the top five places I visit whenever I fly to S. Korea. So glad there's one closer to our place now. My husband and I got the cheese ddubokki (the sweet, spicy rice cake) and the half and half (traditional of course). One half was the golden olive chicken which is basically battered and fried to perfection. The other half was the special spicy chicken, and the employee described it as more of a sweet, tangy version of the spicy chicken marinade they have. Pickled radishes, wet napkins, and chopsticks came complimentary. We ordered for takeout, and the 25 minute drive to our place wasn't bad as the chicken and ddukbokki still stayed warm. The scent definitely made my mouth water. As for the dine-in experience, we didn't get to sit and eat, but the restaurant looked very clean and felt inviting. We tried the cheesling, secret sauce, spicy galbi along with the honey garlic! I didn't get a picture of the cheesling one but they were a dry rub wing compared to the other 3 that we ordered. They were all a good size wings crunchy on the outside but moist on the inside. Absolutely delicious. I'd say my favorites were the cheesling and spicy galbi! They also give your pickled radish as a pallet cleanser for between different sauces! They were really good too! The server was very friendly and helped guide us through the menu. He suggested his favorites along with fan favorites as well! The restaurant was clean and bright. The button at the end of the table was a nice touch whenever you needed something as well. This is the third location I have tried and I think the way the chicken is cooked and the flavor of the secret sauce needs work. I recently ordered a whole chicken (secret sauce), veggie dumplings and 2 sides of rice. I appreciated them being open on New Year's Eve and also having the order ready when it was promised online. The chicken was not crispy, rather it was a bit soggy. The chicken was cooked well but some pieces I had tasted a little gamey. The flavor was a bit bland. I've ordered the secret sauce from other locations and it was flavorful but not here. Tasted a bit bland. I was surprised that the veggie dumplings stayed so crispy even after a 20min drive home! I know this is a newer location that recently opened. Hopefully they can work out some of the little things. My top Korean fried chicken place for the past two years. I haven't got a chance to dine-in there so I don't know how good or bad the restaurant environment is. But my two delivery experiences were very good. The chicken was hot, tender, and crispy when I received the delivery. The packages were nice that nothing was spilled. Flavor wise, I tried half & half whole chicken (original + secret spicy) and wings (original, gangnam style, mala hot, and spicy galbi). The original flavor never goes wrong. All the other flavors I tried were spicy but they were all different spicy. Sweet, sour, garlicky, mala, all kinds of spicy. They put R&D on their package for a reason I guess, good job! Every time I come here the wings are so good it blows my mind. Super fresh and the chicken is so juicy and soft it blows my mind. The crispness of the wing is also unmatched. My favorite flavor is still the spicy original but I definitely want to try other ones such as the secret spicy. The price is a little steep and the food take 20-30 min to be prepared so I would definitely recommend calling ahead or getting it to go. I'm not complaining about the service time because that means they're most likely making it fresh. This location used to be a restaurant/bar called Mowa and I've always wanted to go try their chicken, but never got a chance to . They served ddeok-bokki on the house because chicken was going to take a while, but the my order came out not too long after the ddeok-bokki came out. Ddeok-bokki aka spicy rice cake was more on the sweet side than spicy but still delicious. The golden original chicken was SO lightly battered, crispy, and very juicy! The flavor was just right!! It hit the spot in first bite. The sweet spicy was delicious too, like the original flavor of the Korean yangnyum chicken (sweet spicy flavor). I went back and got the hot spicy the second time and I personally enjoyed the hot spicy flavor more. It was a very addicting heat level. They're currently doing byob until they get their license to sell alcoholic beverages so woohoo! Bring your beer! Also, they don't have coke but they have Pepsi .
