While the overall flavors were great and everyone loved the Cheesling fries I can't get past the fact it's not a whole or half chicken you're getting. Yes, you get a leg and wing but the other pieces are chopped up breasts and thighs with small pieces of bone inside. i don't know how legally and ethically they can call it a whole chicken as its not even close and am guessing they chop a breast in fourths and call that 4 pieces. The original crispy wings are heat free and perfect for kids or the spice intolerant. Great for dipping. The honey garlic are not spicy but perfectly seasoned and crisp. Our favorite are the Gangham Style. That's right you have to dance when you order them. They are black pepper, garlic, and soy forward with a hint of pickled jalapeño. So good. I usually don't sorry too much about cross contamination since I can tolerate a little and it is honestly very rare for a place ti have a Gluten free devoted fryer. The sweet potato fries had a lot of breading from the chicken breading. I'm fine with some cross contamination, but the fries had a lot on there. I should have just not eaten it, but I was out with coworkers and thought I'd be okay. One of the better Korean Fried Chicken restaurants I've tried in the northwest suburbs. The prices are similar to other KFC places. The three of us shared the Secret Sauce Whole Chicken and Rose Tteokbokki. I could eat the tteokbokki just by myself - it is so good! The chicken was perfectly crispy with the perfect amount of sauce. I wish it came with the radish though. You have to order that separately. Service was good. The tables have a call button, which is nice, so you can just press it to get water, your check, etc. rather than have someone stop by every 5-10 minutes. They were comprehensive and accommodating when our table thought we were ready to order and indeed was not. However, the issues started when the first dish came out. The waitress presented the entree incorrectly which resulted in me digging into my friend's dish instead. We both got the same flavor, only difference was mine was bone in and his boneless. However, she presented the boneless wings as bone in. This was no biggie as orders can easily get mislabeled or mixed up. A man came out to address the mix up and it was an awkward exchange before he offered to replace the chicken that was eaten. Later, my friend's dishes came out, but part of their order was missing and they had to inquire about it to the staff. Based on her reaction they had completely forgotten. Later, the kimchi fried rice came out, but it was not kimchi fried rice it was chicken fried rice with an egg on top (kimchi fried rice doesn't come with chicken, and chicken fried rice doesn't come with an egg). It seems the kitchen made a hybrid of the two. We had already waited half an hour for food to start trickling in plate by plate, so we just accepted the mix up. The chicken in the fried rice was strange and felt spongy. The flavor of the rice was bland, but others enjoyed it. We also got fries and they were well seasoned well and crispy. Once the bone in chicken finally came, it was crispy and good. I'm mainly concerned because there were very few tables dining this night and they made so many errors on the service end. We finally made it over to BBQ Chicken - and I'm so glad we did! The inside is beautiful and has such a fun ambiance. They have TVs on with great music video channels. The staff was so amazing and super friendly - we ended up dining in and were seated at one of the tables, all of which have call buttons to get service. They also had high chairs if you want to bring kids! We wanted to try boneless and the wings so we got the Galbi chicken lunch special (11am-2pm I believe where you get 6 boneless, fries and a can of soda) , honey garlic wings, and onion rings. We definitely preferred the boneless a bit more - usually boneless wings are less meat and dry but these were packed with chicken and were amazing! Our waitress was so nice. Be patient - food will take 25-30 minutes to come out and I do NOT recommend ordering takeout if you do not live near with any crispy chicken.....it will lose its crispy -ness. Ive gotten carryout twice. The first time I got the boneless golden original with a side of secret sauce. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside-box other words - perfect. The original is rather plain flavored and needs some kind of dipping sauce. Kids would like ketchup but I like medium spiced so secret sauce was perfect. Second time I got bone less spicy gahlbi which was definitely a medium spiced, slightly sweet coating-delicious!
