Your reward for making it through the outlet traffic, is getting to this place... west of that busy area, after SR 56 becomes SR 54. It sits in a more peaceful setting, in a little strip mall, nestled in trees. The parking lot is busy-and you'll need to watch for reserved spots, for other businesses, but it's workable... even on a busy morning like my recent visit, around 9am on a Monday. The joint was jumping... with a large work crew arriving at the same time as me (they kindly let me go ahead, since they were all on one tab). There's a large menu here. I usually start with a sesame bagel on a first visit. I did that here-and at the last moment, I tacked on a Swiss melt bagel. Ohhh, I'm so glad I did! The sesame was so underwhelming, I feared this was a one and done visit for me. I didn't finish it. The Swiss melt won me right back! This was a whole new bagel flavor profile for me and I'm so glad I tried it! I will definitely go back when I'm in the area and check out more of the menu. There's a cozy and clean dining area inside and some outdoor tables that would be very pleasant on cooler days. The staff was running like a well-oiled machine. They knew how to keep people moving and weren't flustered by the super steady flow of customers. These folks are efficient. You have my attention and appreciation, Big Apple Bagels. See you soon.

The best bagels nearby. I thought I'd try the app today but likely won't use it in the future. Easy enough to navigate but they use a third party to manage so there's a convenience fee. Didn't love the extra fee to slice the bagels. Also, be careful as checkout defaults to a 25% tip. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and efficient. The location is always a challenge since it's on eastbound 54 so a U-turn is required to go west. Love the bagels but I ll order in person.

Was really looking forward to trying Big Apple Bagels and overall was a bit disappointed. Atmosphere: - Located in a "strip mall", be warned that Sunday mornings are busy as there's a church next door. - Outside seating is comfortable and despite being on a major road. - Inside is nice and has a good amount of seating. Bagels: - Overall, we thought the bagels were meh and lacked flavor. We got an everything bagel with cream cheese and an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagels were only seasoned on side and lacked cream cheese. - Personally, I don't think these compare to NY bagels. The breakfast sandwich was better than the bagel with cream cheese. To each their own, Big Apple Bagels was packed and it seems to be very popular, but just didn't hit the mark for us.

This cozy little shop is located in Carrollwood Village... a huge housing development, that somehow-innearly 36 years of living here-I had never been to until now. But missing a turn, led to some exploring and then, some bageling! New York Bagel and Bean is in a plaza at the corner of South Village and West Village. The joint was jumping when I was there at 11am on a Wednesday. It was difficult to find a parking spot, but so worth it. The shop is very homey and welcoming-with several tables and homespun decor. The owner (or manager) was very friendly and helpful. I felt truly appreciated. I felt bad I was only ordering one bagel. It was big and the perfect texture. And then... came the honey butter. Honey butter, people! It's happening! This was not a drill! It was delicious! Decadent, yes-but the perfect accompaniment. I may be in love! Should I move to Carrollwood Village just to be closer? Maybe!!! I'lll report back!

The staff... both the guy with the tablet who took my order while I was in the drive-thru line-and the gal at the window-were so warm, friendly, chill and helpful. I'd go back just to bask in their positivity! But kindness isn't the only thing on the menu. There's coffee, tea, plant-based energy drinks, Italian sodas... and dozens (I think 75) of flavors you can add to them. In a fist visit, I usually start with chai tea latte... but today I asked for suggestions and ended up with a hot hibiscus tea with added pear flavoring. It was so floral and different! Hello new year! This knocked "the usual" on its head. I'm not sure that it will end up being my favorite offering here, but yeah... here's to shaking things up! I also tried the rainbow bagel-which was pretty and tasty. I liked the chew. Next time I'll try the strawberry cream cheese with it. There are filled croissants, too... but I forgot to ask about the flavors-and you can get mini donuts, too. White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research. Well now I just have to try all those 75 flavors! See you soon, White Duck!

I stopped by later in the day, and they were basically sold out of almost everything which, honestly, is usually a great sign for a donut shop. There were only a few apple fritters left, along with some Boston cream donuts, so I grabbed a box to bring to the office during my clinical rotations and made sure to save one of each for myself. The apple fritter was absolutely delicious. fresh, flavorful, and packed with that perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The Boston cream was just as good, with a light, fluffy donut and a rich filling that wasn't overly sweet. The biggest compliment I can give is that the entire office loved them, and they disappeared quickly. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had that classic mom-and-pop shop feel that's getting harder to find these days. You can tell they focus on making quality products rather than trying to be a trendy chain. Next time I'll definitely make it there earlier before everything sells out. If a shop is running low by the afternoon, they're clearly doing something right. Hole In One Donut is a hidden gem, and I'd absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. We arrived at the notoriously (if you know, you know) tight parking lot. It's kind of an identifier of whether a restaurant is in Seminole Heights or not. Walking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff behind the counter. I don't know how to explain it, but looking around, you could tell that they're serious about making some good bread here (spoiler alert: they do). I ordered from the "Tampa-Style Pressed Sandwiches" category and got the Pesto Sandwich on Asiago Cheese Sourdough Bread with chicken, no STO (spinach, tomato, onion), and a bottle of water. It was out in 5-10 minutes and was HOT! Off the first bite alone, I knew I ordered the right sandwich and made the right choice about a spot for lunch. I'm a sucker for the umami flavor profile, so the pesto was just an easy choice. My photos do NOT do the sandwich justice. Just half the sandwich would have been enough food for me, but I couldn't help myself and ate it all; it was just that good. The cheese pull (which we all know is a very important test) was impressive, so definitely no lack of cheese! As far as the dining area goes, there are, from what I saw, two separate dining areas, offering plenty of space for those who want to sit in and eat, such as my group. Service was friendly, and the overall dining experience was quick, so for those who may be looking for a quick bite, this is definitely a spot I'd recommend!

And they do all of it well! Initially, I grabbed a paper menu and tried to decide. It wasn't a large list, but every single item was so tempting. I just bailed out and pointed at the Asiago bread puff, in the case. I was speechless with anticipation. And I should have been... I don't know the name of what I ordered, but it was amazing. If I'd been in a movie, a slow-motion music montage would have started with the first bite. It was deliriously good. There are all kinds of breads to grab and go. They do breakfast and lunch items, that you can sit and enjoy, in two dining spaces. There's merch. Yes, this rings a lot of bells. I'll be back. Oh! There's a parking lot out front with lots of spaces. It's tight, though... squished. Be careful pulling in and out. It was easy in the early morning. Later in the day, you need your wits about you. The morning drink menu was big... and there was a not so "secret menu" board that offered even more options-including the caramel matcha that I chose. It comes with caramel lava (cold foam) and a swirl in the cup. What a cool combination of flavors! And let's face it-I'd order anything with the word lava in it! They had some breakfasty items in a case-and grab and go snacks and a whole wall of cute merch. The clerk was so sunny and friendly-and patient with my first-timer rumblings.
