A great way to start the day! The Huevos grits bowl was delicious! The egg biscuit is plenty for a lighter eater. The biscuit is great and has about 3 eggs in it! Good breakfast choices and I really like anyplace that allows you to join the waitlist from home. Highlights of our meals were the steel cut oatmeal, avocado toast, grits, sausage patties, and the hash cake. We also got a biscuit and gravy but was too full so brought the biscuit home and ate the gravy with our other food. The sausage it very peppery which we liked. The only downside is the food was not hot when brought to us; warm but not hot. It was our server's first day on the job which he told us up front but he did a good job and any only a couple minor mistakes. Would definitely eat here again when in town. read more

Nothing too bad, nothing too great about this place. For a restaurant with such a catchy name, we were expecting big portion at good price. Breakfast was great! Our party had shrimp and grits, omelettes and pancakes. The only drawback to our experience was the bland bloody Mary's served by an arrogant bartender who short poured every one. She claimed it was a 1.5 oz shot but she was tipping up he bottle up before the supposed shot was completely poured. When the manager was alerted to this, she apologized but did nothing to make it right. Will go back but won't be buying any drinks! read more

We went for Father's Day brunch. Love the yelp waitlist feature. The mimosa (strong) and spicy Bloody Mary (not as strong) were both delicious. We got the creole skillet and brioche French toast. Great flavor on the skillet. The French toast reminded me of a funnel cake. A bit too sweet for us. We will be returning to try more of the menu. read more

Normally one of our favorite breakfast places with fantastic flavors. Service has been steadily going down hill. Orders all wrong and long wait for coffee. Could be just our server having a bad day but when asking one of the many support servers for butter was told not her job and had to ask server. The biscuit was dry, overcooked, and crumbly. The chicken on the biscuit was shiny with grease. If you aren't interested in hot sauce or Mayo-based dressing you're out of luck and stuck with eating a dry, greasy chicken biscuit. Amazing pancakes, clean and fun environment. Unfortunately, terrible service every single time we've gone. It is so disappointing because my son loves the food, but the service is insufferable. This review is after we took a break from dining at BBB for a long while just to return and experience the same level of service if not worse than before. The bartender did not acknowledge us for 5-10 min despite busying himself and seeing us----there was only one other person at the bar. We never received refills on drinks. When he was ready to take our order, he stood at the computer 15 ft away and shouted "What would you like?" expecting us to shout our order back to him....My son has life threatening allergies so it would have been nice to be able to just speak to the bartender within a normal distance to alert him and not the entire restaurant to that. Also note worthy was that we were there at around 12pm and the whole staff acted as if they were about to shut down for the day. I'm very reasonable with servers and staff. I know people have bad days. I like to give places many chances...especially if the food is worth it. I would love to see BBB stay in business, but I fear it won't if this is how they continually treat their patrons. :( I'm hopeful someone in management will read this and make necessary changes so that BBB will be a place people enjoy dining in our area for years to come. read more

I ordered the big bad breakfast skillet and I asked for light cheese on it. My meal came out covered in cheese and was sitting in a pool of butter. I knew that it would be far too greasy for my stomach to handle but I intended to take one bite. However I could not eat it so I got my waiter explaining that it was too much greasy butter and I would not be eating it, so I asked for a side of eggs instead and I would eat the biscuit that came with the meal still Upon check out I was charged for the entire meal even though I only ate the biscuit and also was additionally charged for a side of eggs-- The correct action would have been to charge me for a side biscuit and side of eggs instead. I did pay for all of it though because I had to leave and did not have the time to speak with a manager. read more

I live about 2 hours west of Franklin/Nashville but about once a month I travel here for medical reasons. A few months ago we discovered BBB and what a discovery it was. Breakfast was as perfect as one could ask for. The fruit was garden fresh, the eggs were exquisitely cooked. As if that wasn't good enough we had the best service in Tennessee. Our waitress Nicky was very helpful with the menu and provided the best service. In todays world it's hard to find good service and almost impossible to find excellent service. Fortunately I hit the breakfast jackpot with Big Bad Breakfast and our server Nicky. Will be coming back every time I'm in the area. read more

The menu is great but the service is subpar. Everyone from the hostess down to the servers appear to lack experience, direction, and work ethic. Was told 10-15 min when we checked in. It's was 40 min before we were sat. Several open tables through the duration of waiting and seemed to be plenty of staff but everyone seemed to be trying to figure out what to do next. Tables not getting cleared, cleared tables not being sat, sat tables not being waited on. Including ours. Waited 10min after we were sat before flagging down a server who was just wondering around and asking for our server. Everyone is nice. Love the BBB! I've been to the one in Florence AL many times and have always had great food (try the down home skillet!) and great service. The only exception--I'm not wild about their "cat head" biscuit. Too big and a little tough. Also, this Franklin space had very little ambience. There was frenetic loud pop music on throughout my breakfast and it was not relaxing. It made one want to eat quickly and get out. I don't know why they had the volume turned up so high or why they had that particular genre of music. At least turn it down. Still, the food was great. Without a doubt, the Bloody Mary was the worst I've had in 50 years. The taste is bizarre due to the Onion Powder & Garlic Powder in it. The biscuits & sausage gravy were sub-par. The biscuits were very heavy; and although the texture of the gravy was good, the sausage in it was so hot that it smothered the gravy (and I love hot food).
