While vacationing, we were coming here based off a friends recommendation who we happened to be with. We were parked across the street in an easily accessible paid parking lot when a thunderstorm rolled in. While it poured we ran inside to escape the rain and were saved by the amazing beer menu they offered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had 8 people in our group and were able to find a table to enjoy our drinks while we watched it rain and hail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their bartenders had no issues keeping up with customers ordering and providing refreshments. They had an extensive beer, drink and wine selection which I will definitely investigate more next time I come to visit!

Stopped in before dinner next door and enjoyed a local dark Belgian stout by Fait La Force on a cooler Sunday fall evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Football was on tv, the lights were dim, good chill music playing, friendly staff that were quick and attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibes!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped in one night when visiting Franklin. We heard someone order the spaghetti grilled cheese and decided to be copycats and split one. It was delicious! We also really enjoyed the Haus Pilsner and the Pitch Lager.

Ok! I'm impressed. The folks here are just pure gold. From the staff to the regular customers. We were waited on by Dominique (named after "The Singing Nun") Super sweet and helpful with an awesome personality. While trying to choose a beer she recommended one matching my described preference and no less than 3 patrons at the bar turned around and virtually shouted in unison...THAT'S AWESOME!!!! And it was too We started with the hummus and olives because my wife loves her some olives. Then on to a couple of burgers. I had the pretzel burger which was very good and she had the black truffle burger. Both were excellent. Juicy and delicious but cooked med. well. I like mine a little pinker and i'm told to ask for that next time. And there will be a next time...and soon.

Excellent spot for a snack and a tasty brew. We sat at the bar during a busy evening and had a nice chat with the bartender. Fabulous drafts. Creative menu. O L I V E S & H U M M U S is great. The bread is awesome. House hummus with Greek Divina olives atop grilled flat- bread and crackers. This place is pretty sweet. Great selection of local craft beers! Their food was not bad - got a few tacos for their $3 taco day. Could use some salsa and such but not bad for bar fare. The pretzel was good as was the quesadilla. Would.definitelt come back for more beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to chill and watch a game as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are nice and gave us a free pour when one of the kegs kicked.

Stopped in for a few beers and a snack. Quite extensive selection of local brews on tap and in cans/bottles. It happened to be taco day, so we ordered a quesadilla and tacos. The quesadilla came with refried beans and cheese on it and was very good! Service was excellent, gave great recommendations to the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Low-key ambiance overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice place to grab a beer.

I was pleased to see this place open as it's just off 5th street in downtown Franklin. The location is just down the street from Sweet Cici's ice cream, making it just off the busy tourist foot traffic. The facility is small, but tables for sit down service are available in this small space. Once we arrived we noticed it was packed around the bar and we were lucky to score a table. Our server was clearly running, but was able to take good care of us regardless of the on going rush. I ordered a dark stout and my wife and had a Prosecco. We also ordered chips and salsa/queso which were great! We proceeded to order lunch and I ordered a cheese burger and my with ordered a lobster roll with my mother in law. My father in law ordered the Bobby's Rueben. All of the food was great and exceeded our expectations. The coleslaw was on point and the lobster (rock lobster) was delicious. My burger was perfectly cooked and tasty. Definitely headed back and great experience. We will definitely be back!!!

Jimmy, a local who we enjoyed talking to. We love meeting local folks in local establishments while trying to avoid the tourist scene.

We love a good local joint! That's what this place is. Excellent service, great company and good brews!

Hop House is such a fun place to hang out in downtown Franklin... The servers are so friendly, and the "bar" food is good... I've liked everything I've gotten on their menu, especially the Olive Fig Tapenade... It's different, flavorful, and goes great with draft beer... Speaking of drafts, great assortment, and guaranteed you'll get something that suits your taste... Hop House will also let you bring in a growler to fill with a draft of your choice... You can also buy a mix of canned specialty beers to enjoy there or take home.

Ok now that that's out of the way, let's talk food, entertainment and drinks! Entertainment wise they have karaoke a couple nights a week and the regulars SHOW UP! But they don't hate when newbies come to share in the fun and cheer you on. They had beer bucket special. My friends and I got several and every time there was a different amount of beer in them... one had 6, then 7, then 5. We were very confused but just went with it. They have a full bar and they are averages drinks, nothing to write home about unless you are dying to tell your friends that a place had Tito's and properly added it to your mixer of choice. As far as the food goes, they have your usually quick fried foods. Wings came in a bed of chips. Plenty of sauce. 3/5 for the wings. There were these little fried loaded potatoes that were a little over cooked on the outside, but the inside tasted amazing, just like my mom's twice baked potatoes! 4.5/5 -- would've been a 5 but just a little too crispy and well done for me. Mozzeralla sticks were kinda cold and a log... there was no cheese pull. The chicken tenders and mini cornies were average. Did the job at midnight, but nothing to dream about. All the sauces were from a can/bottle, far from fancy... but not surprised at a place like this. Good vibes and although it's a very local place, everyone seemed fairly friendly and the staff was attentive. They are open until 3am on the weekends, which outside of the downtown nashville area isn't super common. Unfortunately for me, smoking alone bumped this place down in my book quite a bit. I don't live near here so I'm not sure I'll be back, but hope my review helps someone who's on the search for a late night snack/karaoke bar. Well, on to the next bar...

There's something fun happening every day of the week with a variety of specials (and happy hour). The food is good and the beer is always flowing! The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

I like that we can see the kitchen at work from the dining area. They have a great cocktail program, I highly recommend you try some. The food was great from the start. They brought us a complimentary truffle gnocchi since it was our first time there and it was excellent. The apps were great, with the bread and butter(s) and the brisket buns standing out. Mains were well executed, with my personal favorite being my girlfriend's filet. The desserts were also great and the flavors matched the season. One of our guests had a nut allergy and they did a great job accommodating us. The server was eager to talk but never encroached on our experience. I'd love to go back next time I'm in town!

This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.
