Britney was great for us today. She was tentative and kept us informed about our food. (We had to wait a bit, there was a mistake in the kitchen.) I ordered the Bug Bad Breakfast Skillet. Delicious! I recommend the biscuit with it. Our server suggested using a jalapeño sauce on the dish and I did. It added that little something that you didn't know you needed but are extremely thankful for having. Topping my dish off by ripping up the biscuit and a side of gravy made the entire meal that much better. The wife ordered the Avo Toast. She had nothing bad to say. She loves the flavors and only wished she had used the jalapeños sauce instead of Tabasco. I'm not entire sold that the Grapefruit and Orange juice are fresh squeezed. Big Bad Breakfast is generally very good, and while it may seem odd to highlight, they have the best orange juice in the city. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny. I also love the iced Vietnamese coffee, which is saying a lot for me because I am not a big coffee drinker. But it's just too good to pass up. Recently I've been getting the Elvis short stack, and I think it's better than the similar, probably more famous dish at the Arcade. The waitlist is a bit more annoying now because you can no longer join their waitlist through the Yelp app, at least on the weekends. It can be a bit chaotic even trying to talk to a server to get on their wait list, and we've left and gone elsewhere a few times as a result. Went here for brunch with friends. We checked Yelp a few days before to make sure what the procedure was for reservations. Good thing we did!!!! I woke up at 7 am and set a reminder with Yelp to let me know when to make a reservation for the time we wanted to eat. The wait time for 10:30 am was an hour and a half. Beware that everyone in the party has to be there to be seated. Parking was plentiful. We did not have to wait long after being seated to have our drink orders taken. This time around the food was not good I ordered the chicken and waffles.. my waffle was super light and not completely cooked it was wet on the inside so they brought a second out. The outside was darker but had areas in the inside that was wet! We visited big bad Breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. The wait for 2 was quoted to 50 mins but a table was ready in 30 mins. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and very inviting. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the creole omelet. I subbed the fries for the biscuit and kept the mixed greens salad. Everyone was sooo delicious! And the hash brown cakes, were greasy and dense. The only good thing I got was the coffee. NOTE: Alcohol is not served until 10am on Sundays. In our case, we did without. I ordered the Yardwork skillet, flapjacks, and spicy bacon. All were a bit underwhelming except for the spicy bacon which I found to be a nice surprise. The flapjacks promised to be fluffy and tangy with a hint of vanilla. I experienced none of that. The Yardwork skillet was just average and I could have done as well cooking at home. BBB does offer a cup of coffee that'll put hair on your chest though.
