Restaurant sits at the corner where Poplar avenue and International drive meets. Nice place lots of windows which opens it up to poplar avenue. Plenty of indoor seating including the bar area. There are a few tables for outdoor seating as well. Plenty of parking. Hostess seated me. The menu was front and back simple with breakfast items and small section for lunch. Breakfast is their main menu meal. I had coffee and ordered the Belgian waffle that came with fruit and whip topping. The coffee was piping hot anso delicious you can drink it straight. The waffle looked good just was not hot and skimpy on the fruit and whipped topping. It had a nice crispy taste and flavor and was really good just not hot when it arrived. Caroline was my waitress and she had such a pleasant smile and disposition. A very personal person. The way she took care of her customers you could tell she enjoyed her job.

She brought me my bill and there was a Big Bad Breakfast postcard attached. Nice touch. Excellent service. I got a coffee to go and it was hot and freshly brewed. The tables were cleaned after each customer, sprayed down, chairs...

I always order the yard skillet with all bacon adding tomatoes, spinach and Jalapeños with French toast or Pancake which is delicious. The biscuit with their strawberry jam is delicious, also.

FOOD DELIVERY EXPERIENCE: So it's a weekday and I'm busy getting the house ready to bring in the new year. As a result, I decided to order some food for myself while I get some work done. I'm happy to say that this is a good place to make a food delivery from. I got their shrimp and grits bowl with the red gravy. It is very hefty. The only take away was that it was lacking a little in flavor and it is more so due to needing a little salt. All the other components were there. As a delivery order, you deal with the bowl being a cardboard type texture which I appreciate but it is true to paper so the oil from the gravy gives it a good fight. Overall, the bowl keeps well enough that I can put it in a bowl of my choice to reheat and yes, the bowl reheats well, just take the egg placed on top to the side when heating so you don't over cook it.

I also decided to try to the chicken and waffle because my sweet tooth always gets me first thing in the morning. It is really good. I didn't need to season the chicken at all. I bought some sausage patties on the side just in case...

case the chicken lacked flavor and I'm happy to say that it was good on its own. Overall, this is a good breakfast delivery option for anyone that is busy doing morning cleaning but still want that filling breakfast that you'd do in your home. Definitely gets five stars for helping me make my morning a little less hectic, providing a good down home breakfast that was easy to reheat so it would feel like I am eating right at the restaurant table.

We were looking for a new breakfast spot to try in Memphis and I am glad we stopped here. While the appearance is upscale, the audience comes from all walks of life. The service was attentive and correct. And the food was hot, fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back.

Just yes! I love brunch & I love BBB! I've ordered delivery quite a few times & am always impressed. This was my first time dining in with family after church. The place was crowded and there was a bit of a wait, but the service was fast and friendly. Everyone LOVED their meals. I went with my usual, the cat head chicken biscuit, & per usual it did not disappoint. That gravy is nectar from the Gods. The biscuit is light and fluffy & the chicken is perfectly fried and seasoned. I also had a breakfast margarita that was to die for. If i could give 10 stars i would. If you're contemplating this location, don't. Just go.

Big Bad Breakfast is one of many enjoyable breakfast spot in Memphis. The interior is clean, well lit and spacious with both breakfast and lunch options available. We were seated, and our waitress was friendly. The food was fresh and tasty, and I enjoyed my first Vietnamese coffee. Pricing depends on what you want, but you can get a filling meal for under $20.

I was in the mood for a good breakfast. This place was recommended to me! I joined the waiting list on yelp. I was 19th in line but arrived before getting a text. Since i was eating alone I was lucky enough to get a seat at the bar and placed my order! I got the shrimp and grits. I've had better shrimp and grits. The flavor just wasn't there at all! Over all service was a 10/10! I would definitely go back and try something different.

What a amazing breakfast experince! The Saturday morning vibes were high and service was on point! Our server was Jade and she too was a vibe as were the bartender and birthday girl Krista! She hooked that Berry Boujee martini right TF on up! The 5th star was for the drink alone. The food was good but basic and the price was a bit much for the drink but I really won't complain and will be back! Bacon wasn't consistent as friend's bacon was fried too hard she said. Soft scrambled eggs always come in pieces instead of a solid mass/lump of eggs.I also ordered a blueberry pancake and it was basic and good. Biscuits looked amazing and so did the rest of the food. Every spot doesn't have to be extra just good and BBB is good! My only drawback was the gnats that enjoyed the outing as well. As I looked down there was food in places on the floor in the booth not easily visible but unfortunate for guests.

Such a solid breakfast spot for what I didn't know had such a large chain of restaurants around the region. Great atmosphere that promotes a chill vibe to enjoy morning cocktails if you so choose (of course I did) and a delicious and filling breakfast. Also, the bright decor helps with the much needed morning jolt to help wake you up...if the cocktails hasn't done so already. The omelettes are hefty and delicious but it doesn't leave you feeling so heavy and sluggish afterwards. Maybe because they serve it with salad instead of the usual hashbrown or homestyle potatoes. It wasn't a bad thing since the salad was actually very enjoyable as well. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Also, this spot is in a large plaza so finding parking wasnt an issue as well.

My first time there. It was a very modern restaurant. I ordered the Veggie Omelet. The Cheese made all of the vegetable favors melt together. The fruit was extremely fresh? Ripe snd in season. The food is good. I mean, it's John Currence. What else would it be? But, we have definitely had mixed experiences with service. A couple times bordering on ridiculous. However, we attributed it to new place/world conditions/staffing challenges ... etc. And we've gone back after, so. I say give it a try! I do not think The shrimp and grits here are not the same as the shrimp and grits at Oxford's city grocery, in case you were thinking they would be. I love their avocado toast! read more

Worst experience for the 1st time! I arrived at this establishment at 10 am and was put on the wait list at 10:06. The host took my number and provided the wait time which I accepted. I received the initial te t message at 10:06. I waited in my car for a hour and 10 minutes. I periodically checked my place in line on yelp. After giving them a call, the host stated they checked in with me(lie) 25 -30 minutes prior. No text, call or anything was sent letting me know my table was ready. Host offered to find a table after they screwed up. Horrible! read more

This was the second time visiting BBB, and it was awesome! Once again I went in thinking I was going to try something different something other than shrimp and grits but, I just can't get away from that dish it's so good talk about slap and your mama good! The other ladies in my party had the BLT omelets with the side green salad and fries and that look tremendous too they both said it was very good! Our server Amber was awesome! read more

I freaking love this place! My fiancé and I started a list of places we want to try and today it was here, I got the big bad breakfast skillet with a pancake, he got the chicken and waffles. My skillet was so good I couldn't stop eating it, when I say my plate was empty it was empty. I tried a piece of this chicken and it was so good, I believe they put some maple syrup on the chicken and it was so good. read more

It's not like the original in Oxford :/ one of my favorites is the sweet potato hash and it wasn't on the menu. The menu was completely different from the OG and it really wasn't anything that spectacular. Food was good but not great read more

I love breakfast favorite meal of the day. Decided to try this new spot. Got there at 7:15 seated and greeted right away. Server was great, food and drinks came out quickly. French toast was good pancakes okay cathead needed one more biscuit to even out the amount of chicken and gravy. My scrambled eggs came with just a slice of cheese slapped on top and not mixed into the eggs. Overall okay but a little pricey they could of done better read more

Great food and very friendly service. I can't say enough about the breakfast dude. Hubby always gets the steak. I opt for the roasted turkey or sometimes no meat at all, but neither of us can leave without the French toast. I appreciate that they are consistent every single time. Nuff said! read more

I met a friend for brunch today (a sunny and gorgeous Sunday) and it was our first time trying BBB. the restaurant was packed of course but we were seated on the patio as requested in a timely manner. Everyone was super accommodating, our server (Taylor) made sure we knew that it was a better value to do the mimosa bottle if we were going to be having more than one each, which we appreciated! I had the breakfast crumble and the eggs were poached beautifully and the entire dish was so full of flavor. Generous portion sizes also! I will be going back for sure! read more

I've had plenty of octopus in other cities and understand the dish is typically more expensive, but a small single mediocre tentacle is quite pricey for $28. I personally prefer a crispy and firmer chew for octopus. The scallops and shishito peppers were a delightful pairing. Valet parking shouldn't be forced upon the customer though? I felt bad that I don't carry cash to tip the valet, and valet is mandatory unless you want to park on the side streets and walk over. Do carry any cash! I wish that a portion of the parking lot was open for self parking though as those boys don't need to help out every guest who don't need valet and subjecting them to wait around for the boys to grab cars that we're perfectly capable of doing ourselves.

The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good. Overall, I really liked this place and it's one of the best meals I've had in Memphis the handful of times I've visited.

The maple bacon Brussels sprouts were a table favorite...perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. My dad and sister both enjoyed the braised beef, which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I thought it would be nice to check this spot out for my birthday. 1st problem I had I couldn't get on the waiting list for 6+ online. So I noted in suggested area I had a large party when I selected 5 people for waiting list. 2 problem get to the restaurant had to re-wait after they don't seat large groups. I waited for 2 hours to be seated just to find out the Yelp rsvp comes before the people that shows up in person. Their waiting time not in same system. Which is horrible and misleading!!! The food wasn't as good as I expected and over priced for what they bring out in small portions. The customer service also wasn't good. Our server didn't check on you. Forgot our food then want to charge for something we never received. Check it out for yourself but do not go with a large party. It's a small restaurant trying to do big things.
