My friends and I decided to stop in here after seeing how close it was to our cabin (3 minute drive.) We walked in and saw they were busy, but decided to take a chance. From my view, there were about 2 men and 1 woman working on getting people their rentals. We waited patiently in what we assumed was the line. No greeting, no one acknowledging 6 of us walking in. About 10 minutes have passed and a few more customers walk in. That's when the woman says "If you're renting, you'll have to sign a rental agreement." Everyone from the end rushed over to the opposite of where we were standing and grabbed most of the boards without any respect for the people who've been there first. After filling out the forms, we were told to wait for the next available staff member. There was no regulation or organization. We left shortly after. I understand places get busy especially on a Saturday and with this being the closest location to Bear Mountain. It was probably just our luck to have come on a bad day. (I usually rent from Mile High Sports down the street. Friendly staff & quick service; plus they're half off with Yelp check-in over there.) read more

Rented some skis here this weekend for a day on Bear Mountain. I got a basic ski package (boots + poles + skis) and it was $25 bucks for the day + $50 deposit. A little pricier than some of the other places along the way but it's located right next to the shuttle stop (Moonridge lot) to the resort, so super convenient pick-up & drop-off. Drop-off was at 6:30PM but I told them I had plans to night ski and they told me I could return them by 9:30am the next morning. The entire rental process took about 15 minutes total. Everyone there was super chill and friendly, especially the owner Vincent who got my friend set-up with a new board and some gear. They even put fortunes on your receipt when you pay so you can go onto the mountain feelin good! Check this place out if you're staying close by to the resort! read more

I went in for some crab grab stomp pads. They def had some but I was stopped by the fatty selection of gloves at the front door. Wow. They carry so much dope product. They carry sick and local brands. They even have rentals and demo boards. This place has a mom and pop feel. Def not a chain. They have fix bindings. Magnums are my fav. Great Price! Boards looked nice, I think my only complaint was the inconsistency of the board sizes. I've snowboarded for almost 6 years now and only around thanksgiving. I mainly go to mammoth and rent because I hate having to keep up with my own equipment and bringing it everywhere. And I always bring more and more people. This time I had a group of 8 people renting boards and I know that for a Basic rider that doesn't know anything about sizing it doesn't matter but 3 of my friends were the same height. All 3 boards were completely different height. They kept asking me why one board was so long and one board was so short. I couldn't answer them but thought it was weird. Eventually one of them said the board was too long. It was almost over his head and he took it back. I thought the general rule would be to your shoulder height for a basic rider. read more

Two of my friends and I rented skis from here, and another friend rented a snowboard. Three of us had no problems, but one friend had a ski break during a private ski lesson (fortunately not on a slope), which she had to drop out of. When we returned the skis the guy working there initially just said he could give her store credit, but after calling a manager they refunded her rental fee and gave her a store credit for a future rental. They were really accommodating for me when I was getting my stuff, they're cheaper than renting at the mountain, and I think they ended up taking care of the broken ski OK, but it just really socks to have you ski break when you only have a limited amount of time on the mountain. read more

My family is new to snowboarding and I went here to buy about 50% of all of equipment and gear. I wish I'd bought 100% here because of how great they are. I have been so impressed with the customer service and attention to all their guests (both "shoppers" and "renters"). Full services offered too (waxing, adjustments, etc). Last night I was in buying some bindings for my husband's new snowboard and we were so blessed because a customer earlier in the day had intentionally left their old snowboard (once they purchased a new one) and the staff gave it to my beginner teen son (instead of trying to sell it or give it to a friend)! Sorry I wanted to like the place. The photos looked promising so I paid a little more then some other rentals. But the guy who served me was just not having it. He gave me a chipped board, was unhappy when I asked if I could change it. I'm a beginner so I don't know much but not much help was coming, in how to put on the boots, which helmets etc. Honest I think he had an off day, still it was an unpleasant experience and I felt I had made a mistake for paying more. read more

Love this shop. Fast service, excellent ski and board techs to get you out on the mountain fast. Location is awesome for Bear Mountain, makes dropping off your board fast and easy to beat the traffic down the mountain. Shuttle stop is right behind the shop. Oh and their price points are excellent compared to many of the other shops in town. Retail selection is small but growing but carry top line snowboards and skis and have found their prices to be about as cheap as searching online for same products. Staff is knowledgeable and cheerful. They also sell and have huge selection of chains. Best rental experience ever. read more

Super friendly and helpful. Price is decent. For snowboard and boots, it was $24 with the Yelp check in discount. They close around 8:30 so return everything before or you can return by next day before 9 am so you don't get charged for another day rental. Location is on the way to big bear ski resort so super convenient. There's also street parking and back parking. read more
