Use to really enjoy this gym but its not what it use to be…read more Firstly, they almost always have a busted machine or something out of order. Stair stepper never works, neither of the ellipticals worked last time, only one out of 3 treadmills works properly. The other 2 don't incline. Maybe you should invest in new equipment? I come in with a day pass when we are in town and have noticed for the past year at least that the tile is coming up on the carpet in the weight room. Are you ever going to fix it??? Or are you going to wait til someone trips over it with weights and gets seriously injured? I Will never come back here and am shocked they still have members when they're obviously not getting their money worth with working equipment and a safe workout room.

Since the other gyms in the area are closed on Sunday I thought I would come check out Bodytek…read more Glad I did. This is probably the nicest, newest and cleanest gym in the area. And its only $10.00 for a day pass! If you need a gym for a few days to work out at and are coming from out of town I would definitely choose this place. Or if I lived here in Big Bear this is where I would join! Their rates are very good here. They have everything you need except for a legit free weight bench press. But they do have two squat racks you can easily convert into a bench since they do have a good amount of flat bench dumbbell benches. Good amount of cable machines. WHAT MAKES THIS GYM TOTALLY LEGIT AND SUPER COOL: The Aerobics Room. However I wouldn't call it that since it sounds too 1980's Richard Simmons like. But rather the room of Pain and Gain because thats what this room is all about if its used correctly. This room is a gold mine. I used to train with Jake Shields and Gil Melendez at Fairtex for 8 years and this is all these MMA fighters used to do: Battle Ropes, Tires, Kettle Bell exercises, Heavy Bag Muy Thai, Core Strengthening, Jump HIIT training, etc.. Its ALL about HIIT training. Although its good for you, you won't get shredded doing moderate steady cardio. You gotta do HIIT. If I lived here I would be in this room 6 days a week. Even where I work out at in OC at Golds Gym and 24 Hour Fitness we don't have a room like this. Forget the treadmills! Get in this room! 8 one-minute rounds of battle ropes hard core all out as hard as you can (30 seconds rest between rounds) is better than one hour steady state on the treadmill. And those monkey bars. My upper body was on fire after doing a few rounds of that!

This is a cozy, small studio in the Village of Apple Valley, with a genuinely welcoming community of wonderful people meet. This is NOT a crowded room full of sweaty people on yoga mats packed in like sardines. Space and peace are the standard here. The studio is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully decorated. I am not a spin girl, so I can't speak to that, but a lot of people love them here. I've taken yoga and Pilates classes here a few times a week for over two years now. I'm a fairly seasoned yogi and find Adriana's flow yoga and yoga-strength classes both creative and challenging, and her cuing is clear and easy to follow. She is a very highly trained instructor, and it shows. She plays great music and her classes are fun! I especially love her Saturday morning yoga-sculpt class that's the best of yoga and the benefits of strength training with hand weights. I'm always sore the next 2 days in all the best of ways. In the summer, there are often guided cold plunges after yoga class, and Adriana guides you through the whole process. It's incredibly empowering!! Wednesday night, Dusty leads a really lovely stretch and mobility class that's the perfect mid week reset for body and mind- that anyone can feel like a pro at on day one. Rosy's floor Pilates classes are so much fun! She's a little ray of sunshine with energy that makes even the worst day better. There's usually a little treat of a tasty smoothie that Ellen makes as a delicious reward at the end of class. Rosy is also trained in physical therapy, so her instruction and posing is exceptionally clear and helpful to ensure you are doing it properly for the best results. Ellen, the owner and one of the spin instructors is so incredibly warm and hospitable, and she makes everyone feel like old friends from the first visit. She's proud of her little studio and pours her heart into making it a place you look forward to coming to. Aside from the regular classes, there are workshops from time to time in all kinds of interesting things like cold plunging, sound baths, meditation, dance classes, yoga under the stars, and even artisan markets. If you're looking for a fitness home, where you'll be encouraged and challenged with kindness, but don't enjoy a competitive, gym-like setting, Relentless Spin & Yoga might be the perfect fit. Download the MindBody app, search Relentless Spin & Yoga in Apple Valley, to see the schedule and book your classes.

You pay for…read moreclasses but then can only use them within a 30 day window or they expire...you have to call them to get it extended. Which means I'm calling every month because I can't always use all 4 sessions in a month because I do have a life. This is just annoying because I can really only make it on the weekends, and weekend classes book up weeks in advance. My other annoyance with this is if you do go on a waiting list, you'll sometimes get notified like two hours before the class starts that you're off the waiting list - now it's too late to cancel if you've made other plans, OR you've wasted your day waiting around to find out if you'll make it into the class. I enjoy pilates, but this company just does not care at all about the customer experience, they make it unreasonably difficult to use their service, the app sucks, just overall annoying in every encounter I've had with them. I can't ever get into a class on the weekend and then they expire so I can't use them unless I call every single month to ask them to extend the dates. Why make doing business with you guys so difficult? Why put so many roadblocks in to be able to enjoy the service? If I paid for these sessions, they should not expire ever frankly, but good god, 30 days? Not even 60 or 90 days before you can't use them? Now I try to cancel my membership, next billing cycle is tomorrow, and they require a 30 day cancellation notice as well so I'm going to be charged....again.....for a service I can barely use because of how inconvenient they make it. Just annoyed with it and done, I'm sure there are better and cheaper pilates studios who don't make it nearly impossible to use them. I'll be looking for one that doesn't charge me for sessions I can't even use.

I tried multiple studios in this area and you can beat the trial deal, membership cost, the ability to go to multiple locations and the instructors! I've been to several different Pilates studios in different cities and while the instructors are kind, none compare to those who work for The Pilates Co. If you do try Pilates for the first time, regardless of your fitness level, take a Level 1 class. It will help get you comfortable with the equipment, movement and mindset.

I am now on their unlimited plan and try to go 4 to 5 times a week. That's how much I love it. I love every instructor I've had, (but I do have my favorites) and they all always grace and modifications, should I need it. As someone who works full-time, has kids in many activities and a very full social calendar I love that I can do this for just me and I feel amazing every time I finish a class. The only negative comment I have is that classes fill up very quickly (I'm not the only one in love!) so it's important to stay on top of scheduling. The positive regarding scheduling is they have 20 to 30 classes a day throughout their Temecula, Murrieta, and Menifee locations.
