All the staff was patient, suggested replacing line, how to add hooks, weights, etc. The staff did IT ALL! Showed us how to use the poles, cast the line and what bait to use depending on the fish. Can't say enough good things about this place! My 5yo daughter has been begging to go fishing, and not being a fisherman myself I was a bit intimidated walking into a bait and tackle shop. The staff were so kind and helpful- they had a great selection of kids poles and set us up with everything we needed. They even put the bobber, weight, and jig on for us and recommended a kid-friendly fishing spot. Best service everyone in my family has ever received, ever. Luckily, the other sporting goods store was closed and so we came here instead. Josh, the awesome guy at the counter, was extremely patient. None of us had ever fished with fishing rods before, and he took us step by step through fishing. He gave us a full hour or so tutorial on what bait we needed for different fish, how to rig the rod with weights, leader line, swivels, and hooks. He taught us how to assemble everything, including how to tie the knots. He took us out to the side with lots of room to let us practice casting. I really want to come back here. He taught us how to fish, and you know what they say... "Buy a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he eats for life." Or its something like that anyway. Point is, I was able to catch a foot-long rainbow trout in mid-November. I was sooo ecstatic, because this was my first time fishing, and no one else can describe the feeling of catching your first fish unless if you've made a catch before.
