I had a taste for fish tonight, and so my husband has been wanting to try this place for a while. I have to say it hit the spot and reminded me of when my family would have "Fish Fry Fridays!" Everything was seasoned well. The cornbread tasted like cake! Now, I know there are some people that do not like sweet cornbread, but I grew up on eating it that way. My Momma makes her cornbread sweet, so needless to say this tasted like home! The Mac and cheese was just, ok. I know it was supposed to baked but it needed to be more creamy and cheesy. The noodles were dry. The corn was good too, but maybe if the butter that they cooked it in had garlic, that would be amazing! The okra and green beans were banging! Hands down the fish stole the show! Overall it was really good and I say give it a try!

The food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The cornbread was wonderful. You can tell the people that work here care about what they are doing. Had a nice chat with the owner about her son that played ball in Tn. I would go back and would definitely recommend.

    B. Anderson's is exactly what Brunswick needed! I had the jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and greens - every bite was packed with flavor. Truly some of the best food I've had since moving here. Chef Q, the owner, was so welcoming. She took a moment to sit and chat with me about her new spot and her move from Frederick. The space is still coming together, but the food speaks for itself. Soulful, hearty, and cooked with care. I can't wait to come back and try more. Highly recommend if you're craving good food and genuine hospitality.

Q has reopened her restaurant in Brunswick, replacing her location in Frederick. Food is made to order and absolutely delicious! She is just getting going in this new location, so it's mostly carry out until she can lay her hands on some furniture. Unfortunately she had to leave it all behind at the last place due to her dispute with her landlord that forced her to break her lease. If you have some furniture that might fit her needs she would love a donation. Come out and support her wonderful local food!!

Incredible soul food, Owner is so nice and addresses me by my name. In a weird and lowkey location but Probably the best food I have had around this area. Hope they break past the location barrier

Food is delicious and home cooked on premises. Enough for two meals and I'm a big eater.

The space seems to go on and on with plenty of seating and spaces to gather. We were there early on a week day so we took advantage of the happy hour they offer. Their drink and food specials are good deals and their food is amazing. I had two types of wings and the slider trio to feast on and a margarita thst was huge for a happy hour offering. I visited on a Monday and they have 6$ Margaritas all day! The food was all wonderful and perfectly prepared and they offer an extensive variety of cocktails and draft beer. The music and dance area is quite large in Addition to all of the seating in the dining and bar area so weather your there for food and drinks, a dinner with friends or a music event, Bentztown has it all covered,

One guest also ordered a Coke that didn't come until the very end of the meal, and there were no refills offered for that either. That said, our server seemed to be doing her best under the circumstances, and we still tipped well. The food was pretty good, and we did enjoy our meal overall. We would consider coming back, hopefully when the restaurant is better staffed and able to handle the crowd more smoothly.

Omg- so good. The cornbread was served with honey butter that made it almost desesert like. But the cornbread itself was savory, so there was a perfect balance. So good! The crab cake was unbelievable. So good. (Similar to what you would get at a pappadeaux for context.) Literally a showstopper. The shrimp and grits were really good too. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were sweet and juicy. The grits were good, but personally I like more cheese in them. But adding the crystal hot sauce made up for it. Just an amazing meal! Our server Luna was super friendly, hard working and we so enjoyed her! She is a real asset to this place! Great job and great food!

I'm disappointed to be writing this review about Succotash National Harbor because it has been a…read morerestaurant I've enjoyed and recommended in the past. My cousin and I stopped by on Friday, June 12, 2026, craving one of our favorites--the pimento burger. As usual, we grabbed two open seats at the bar that had just been vacated. A waiter greeted us and said he would return after cleaning the area. Another staff member brought us water, and we waited to place our order. While waiting, I noticed a couple sit down at the bar near us. To my surprise, the first waiter immediately went over to them, took their order, and prepared their drinks while my cousin and I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment. I eventually asked the waiter if he was assigned to our section, and he confirmed that he was. I then asked why the couple had been served before us when we had arrived first. His flippant response was, "Because they're regulars." I replied that, with good customer service, I could become a regular too. He then shrugged and said, "They know management." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked him to repeat himself. He again said, "They know management." What bothered me most was not that regular customers were recognized. Great hospitality includes making loyal guests feel appreciated. The problem was the message that seemed to be conveyed--that some customers are more deserving of attention than others because of who they know. When I expressed concern, the waiter appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing it. Instead of clarifying or apologizing, he repeated the same explanation and shrugged off our concerns. At that point, my cousin looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?" We got up and left without ordering anything. This experience was especially disappointing because it was so different from the positive visits I've had here before. We came expecting good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this. Every guest should feel welcomed and respected, whether they are a first-time visitor, a regular, or someone who knows management. Unfortunately, this experience makes me reluctant to return anytime soon. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend Succotash National Harbor, as I've enjoyed many good meals there in the past, but this visit left a lasting negative impression. To make matters worse, my cousin and I never even got the chance to order the pimento burger we came for .
