After grocery shopping, we decided to stop by. The front person welcomed me immediately and was helpful. Love the family photos on the wall - homey. We ordered the fried chicken lunch combo with mashed potatoes & gravy, potato salad, Mac n cheese, green beans and cornbread as sides. The star of the meal is definitely the very moist, well seasoned and crunchy fried chicken. Not oily at all. Finger licking - so good. The sides were also well seasoned but my favorite is the cornbread - moist with a hint of sweet. Me like A LOT!!! The green beans were good but I prefer mine crunchy instead of There's so much leftovers that I have lunch ready. Will update my review when I reheat the leftovers!! I had a taste for fish tonight, and so my husband has been wanting to try this place for a while. I have to say it hit the spot and reminded me of when my family would have "Fish Fry Fridays!" Everything was seasoned well. The cornbread tasted like cake! Now, I know there are some people that do not like sweet cornbread, but I grew up on eating it that way. My Momma makes her cornbread sweet, so needless to say this tasted like home! The Mac and cheese was just, ok. I know it was supposed to baked but it needed to be more creamy and cheesy. The noodles were dry. The corn was good too, but maybe if the butter that they cooked it in had garlic, that would be amazing! The okra and green beans were banging! The owner is such a blessing. She was very pleasant and welcoming. Just what I needed, a pit stop on a nice, calm, & relaxing Sunday. Chef Q, the owner, was so welcoming. She took a moment to sit and chat with me about her new spot and her move from Frederick. The space is still coming together, but the food speaks for itself. Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I was craving jerk chicken and this place is MUST. Just a little bit outside of Frederick and completely worth going to. The owner Q was so sweet and hospitable, and even gave me complimentary soup for lunch the next day! Support local business, and just go eat delicious authentic good eats. Love the decor and the family ties proudly displayed as well. A cozy comforting ambience for any occasion. My family went here for the first time yesterday. We came in with 4 children ages 11, 8, 6 and 2. We were greeted by the sweetest lady who right away made our family feel so welcomed. We ordered food and sat down. Of course the kids were playing and laughing. The lady kept saying she loved it. She is Grandma to 6 and loved the noise of kids. The food was amazing. When we left she asked that we please bring the kids back because she loved it. Would definitely eat here again. Not just the food but the welcoming atmosphere. read more

Q has reopened her restaurant in Brunswick, replacing her location in Frederick. Food is made to order and absolutely delicious! She is just getting going in this new location, so it's mostly carry out until she can lay her hands on some furniture. Unfortunately she had to leave it all behind at the last place due to her dispute with her landlord that forced her to break her lease. If you have some furniture that might fit her needs she would love a donation. Come out and support her wonderful local food!! read more

My husband and I have been meaning to try this place out since we heard of it and I'm so happy today was the day we finally did, food was out of this world!!! I planned my entire day around a visit here, driving 30 miles from near Mount Airy to get a sandwich and support a new small business with some revenue. Showed up at 1130 for lunch, and found door locked. Sign says open at 10am. Nothing on their FB page saying they are going to open on time. Fooled me once - and won't get another chance. read more
