Wonderful oasis of good food along the trail. Nothing very fancy here, but they cater to bikers and they do it well. Our food came out quickly and it was hot and delicious. They seem to buy high quality ingredients. There are lots of great snacks that bikers love to grab and go. The bathroom outside is a portable John, but that seems to be offered by the National Park Service. Plenty of parking for bikes.

The subs at Whites Ferry are great, and they have a nice general selection of munchies. My cheesesteak was PERFECT. Not much seating, and it can be a bit crowded. They cater more towards the hikers and adventurers in the area. When the ferry was running, it was great to grab a snack while waiting your turn. The parking lot is gravel, so be careful, especially if on two wheels.

Like the old country stores I grew up with. The sandwiches are awesome! My new Sunday get-away.

This little place is paradise for hikers, bikers & weekend sightseers. It's funny, several miles down the river people pay many times more for lunch not as good with hardly any view of the water. Here, you get an amazing lunch or breakfast sammie with polite service and a great view of the Potomac in a historic park reserve. My tuna sandwich was absolutely as I wanted & hoped it would be- fresh with not too much Mayo or stuff - just a bit of relish. Generous serving of tuna also. Simple & delish!! Hubby claimed his cheesesteak was "awesome" & devoured it promptly. The bread was great! I wish I ordered the onion rings- they looked amazing. As other Yelpers have pointed out there's lots of places to chill & enjoy your food. All in all a fantastic lunch on the Potomac w a wonderful drive through rural Maryland to get there & back. It's a shame the ferry is closed as of my posting but hopefully that will Change. In the meantime grab a sandwich & take a hike or a bike! Can't wait to come back for the onion rings!

It took Whites Ferry closing down to get me out here. Mind you I have taken the ferry before, I just didn't think of stopping in here to experience the deliciousness I did today. We may have ordered practically everything and here's the run down: Whites Ferry burger: simple half pound burger with American cheese. Absolutely 100% delicious. Hands down my favorite burger. Tastes like homemade chargrilled burger that you can get at a backyard cook out from someone who can actually grill and make their own patties. It's juicy, it's not over cooked and pairs well with their crispy fries. Pickle sub: it's a turkey sub in a hollowed out pickle. Is it unique? Yes. It has a ton of turkey in it. Doesn't really come with condiments like mustard or mayo so other than tasting like pickle juice it might be a bit dry. Very keto friendly but maybe not a low sodium option. Reuben-Fantastic corned beef (sliced thinly which I prefer), great dressing and love the sauerkraut. This was a stand out. There are lots of park benches to sit on to enjoy a view of the river and have a picnic. I am not sure what the latest news is on the ferry but even if it doesn't come back I hope this place stays. Will be back for the onion rings!

Came here because I wanted to take the ferry across to VA but realized that it's been closed for at least a year now..... Wow! I was not expecting this quality of food at an random convenient store. Everything was made to order and the quality of their ingredients is top notch! Love the brioche buns on the burger and the patty was well seasoned. Best thing about this place is the price, very very affordable. Ate our food at a picnic table nearby. Good food and good view, what more can you ask for?

Stopped by for a bite to eat in between breaks at the pool. The weather was perfect and the Whites Ferry Store and grill was the perfect spot. We got my daughters hot dogs, my sister a steak and cheese, and I got a cheeseburger. We got some sides including onion rings and Mac and cheese. The hot dog was good and the Mac and cheese was white cheddar with shells. The steak and cheese was also good. The burger was the highlight. Straight up fire! If you come out this way, make the stop while the ferry isn't running. It's peaceful and the cheeseburgers slap! Easy 5 stars!

Huge fan of this place and have been stopping here for years now for a bite/beer, but they lose a fifth star for not being open on Memorial Day and all the other Mondays that DC feds get off - just seems a huge opportunity loss given all the bike, foot, pedal, paddle, and car traffic this place rightly gets.

    Excellent burgers!

Full disclosure - I'm not a Christian. But I was thirsty when I happened to be walking past Trinity House this past Friday, and I stopped in. The cafe is large, with lots of comfortable seating. If a place consistently delivers tasty food, solid execution, and keeps you wanting to come back, that earns a top rating from me. Ted's Bulletin absolutely does that. We have been to the One Loudoun location several times for breakfast, and it is consistently a great experience. That kind of consistency matters, especially for breakfast service where some places can be hit or miss. One of our favorites has been the huevos rancheros. They serve it on tostadas, which gives the dish a great crispy base and a really satisfying texture. It is flavorful, hearty, and always hits the spot. We have also had their homemade tater tots, and they are excellent. Nicely fried, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and clearly done with care rather than feeling like an afterthought side dish. Their French toast is another strong option and always enjoyable. If you are in the mood for something sweeter, it is a very solid choice. We have also tried the breakfast cinnamon roll. It is definitely generous in size. It is decent and worth trying, but it can be a lot, which is probably why we only order it occasionally. For the kids, the hot chocolate is always a favorite and something they genuinely look forward to each visit. Overall, Ted's Bulletin continues to deliver tasty breakfast food, dependable quality, and a family friendly experience that keeps us coming back. Easy 5 stars from me.

I went with the club sandwich--perfectly fine, but about as memorable as a meeting that could've been an email. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing that would ever bring me back for round two. The fries, on the other hand, showed up crispy and confident... easily the highlight of the plate. There are plenty of solid lunch options in the area, and in hindsight, I probably should've explored one of them instead. I did spot a grilled cheese that looked great walking by--but let's be honest, grilled cheese always looks like it has its life together. It wasn't crowded, service was fine, and nothing was outright bad--it just didn't deliver the kind of experience I've come to expect from Ted's. If I return, it'll be for breakfast, where they seem to know exactly what they're doing.

We stopped in on a Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We were seated immediately, which gave us a chance to take in the restaurant's charming farmhouse aesthetic. With its high ceilings and rustic décor, it feels like a modern take on an old country farmhouse that's warm and inviting without feeling overdone. As an unexpected bonus, we happened to visit during Restaurant Week, and the special was an incredible value. It included a Buff-Mosa, deviled eggs, and the Low Country Biscuit. My wife ordered the Southern Philly, so we ended up sampling a little of everything. The Buff-Mosa was a refreshing way to start the meal. Made with Blue Ridge Vodka, Cava, and strawberry-watermelon juice, it was light, crisp, and not overly sweet. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon jam, which added a nice savory touch. They had a bit more mustard and horseradish kick than I'm accustomed to, but they were still delicious and packed with flavor. The real star, though, was the Low Country Biscuit. It was absolutely enormous, stacked with perfectly fried chicken, chunky pimento cheese, and hot honey. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the combination of the rich pimento cheese with the sweet heat of the hot honey was outstanding. The honey added just enough spice to complement the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. I also tried a bite of my wife's Southern Philly, and it was fantastic. It's a creative Southern spin on a classic Philly cheesesteak and one that's definitely worth ordering. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One fun detail I really appreciated was that the check is presented inside a book, a small touch that fits perfectly with the restaurant's farmhouse theme. Between the outstanding biscuits, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent service, Buford's Biscuits delivered a fantastic breakfast experience. There are still plenty of menu items I'd love to try, so we'll definitely be back.
