I placed a pickup order on the app and it was ready in no time. This location is so spacious. I sat and ate my food in the restaurant on my lunch break. Even though I did a pick up order for a later time my soup was still hot and so was my grilled cheese. The staff were very friendly and the vibes were amazing. The gal at the cashier was super sweet & great to work with...however, the food was a totally different story. I ordered a pick 2 meal & my salad was great. My sandwich legitimately had ONE little slice of chicken & next to it, a slice of mozerella cheese. I ate my salad in house but had to run home since I had my 5 month old with me. So I packed my sandwich to eat at home & discovered this, or else I would have brought it over to have it fixed. Ahh yes, Panera the place I go if I want cold bagels served with a side of attitude. I ordered two bagels sliced and TOASTED. I received two bagels sliced but not toasted. I asked them to toast them and a staff member then proceeds to say "you didn't order them toasted", who orders cold bagels?? She finally remade the bagels after telling us that they couldn't be taken back and toasted but now she had a bad attitude. She was very rude and most likely needs to be fired. The only reason this review is two stars is because the food was fine once it was toasted. Yesterday, around 6.15 pm, I went to Panera, in Auburn AL, to purchase 2 loaves of baguette; there were 2 big carts, loaded down with fresh bread I was refused to purchase any, being told, they are for tomorrow. Panera gets 5 stars from me because they are consistent and there is not a thing on the menu that I have tried and not liked. My favorite item on the menu is the Tomato Soup in a bread bowl. It's tangy, salty, and when you dip the sourdough bread bowl pieces into in it just makes for the perfect taste combination. Their other soups are good too, I really like the broccoli cheddar and the cream of chicken with wild rice have both been delicious. But for me personally it gets no better than the tomato. The Asian Sesame Chicken Salad is another winner for me. It's got everything I want in a salad which is a bit of crunch from the wontons and the almonds and and the slightly sweet from the sesame dressing. Perfection. For breakfast I love love love their everything bagel and I like to slather it with as much cream cheese that I can fit on it's little bagel corners. I also think I'm the only one who likes this but does anyone else like the raspberry brisk that they have here? I can't find it served anywhere else. But I'm obsessed with it. There is just one complaint I have and it's only because we are in the south, but the last time I went here they didn't have any sweet tea. NO SWEET TEA. I placed an order online to pick up around 6 o'clock only to find out it would be ready the next morning at 6:20 AM. Favorite sandwich and bakery chain. Ordered after acceptable wait. Food ready promptly. I ordered the pick two Tomato Soup and Big Kid Grilled Cheese sandwich (secret menu item). Perfect for a cold fall day. Location was fairly busy this day and only available tables near door. Would not be so bad but this was a particularly cold day and every time the door opened a very cold breeze came right by my table. Also needs a better organized line for ordering instead of just open to however people want to stand. Made it difficult to get from drink station, food pick up area to table and exit. We went to Panera Bread in Auburn, AL on 04/09/2022. A simple order royally miscued between hostess and cooks. I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Ciabatta with only Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I got a wrap which I did not enjoy, as it contained much more that bacon, egg, and cheese. I took it back and explained the error made. They stated they would correct it and give us a free treat. We got the wrap back - no Ciabatta - no excuse us - no free treat. I complained online and they stated they would get back with me shortly; however, after over two weeks I realize they really don't care about the customers. I've been to a lot of Panera's. This Panera Bread location gets 5-Stars from me hands down because of the manager, Jordan Drawbond! Jordan has a great attitude and ultimately works hard to make sure the customers are happy with their meal and feel appreciated. On several occasions, Jordan has consistently shown himself to be someone who is about friendly, effective, and excellent customer service. Basically, Jordan is just awesome! Keep up the great work. I never understood the hype of Panera Bread. It's basically a deli that looks healthy but everything is a billion calories and doesn't taste like anything. However, that doesn't mean the idea behind it all and their soups are the only things I order each time. It doesn't mean that I don't enjoy physically standing in here and gaping at the pastries like I've seen sunlight for the first time. Their corn chowder is delicious. The customer service is a selling point. During my visit to Panera in Auburn, they made a mistake on my order so I got to keep my sandwich (I originally ordered a Turkey Bacon salad). They were very accommodating and the cashier gave good recommendations without showing any slight bother with my constant questions. I had a bit of a problem with the price as I really don't think a half soup, half salad, and a drink should cost more than $10. read more

I love the franchise of Panera Bread. The food is pretty much always yummy and the service at every location I've ever been to has been pretty decent. However, I wish I could say the same about the Auburn store. For some reason, the customer service at this particular Panera is really pretty bad. Everyone looks disgruntled, and the staff will often pull that customer service game where they ignore you and don't meet your gaze for 4 minutes while you stand at the counter waiting. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is with this store, but I've occasionally had such bad service here that I felt compelled to fill out a survey and complain, which I've never done before. The food, however, is pretty much standard Panera quality, which is pretty great on the whole. I've decided (over many years) that their bagels are not the best, but I love their soups, sandwiches and salads (and their new Crispani pizza things are pretty darn tasty as well - but they do present the added problem of a difficult to pronounce made-up sounding name). Another tip... don't order the iced coffee drink with the word "chip" in the name unless you want to try to DRINK chopped-up coffee-flavored chips from the bottom of your glass with a straw. They routinely forget the extra cream cheese or separate soufflé or pastry. I left a little irritated at the manager, however, because he waited to tell me that I was being "penalized" for ordering a half portion salad until after I had paid. I'm a fan of Panera's breakfast. Open until 10:30 during the week and 11 on weekends. They are also a very good option for the vegetarians in this town. It is a good old trusted place for salads, sandwiches and soups. The food is usually pretty good. I will disagree with the other reviewers and say that I've had EXCELLENT service every time I've gone to Panera. I've never once had a bad service experience. It's a boring franchise and the food isn't worth half the money you pay. This particular one is even worse than the rest because all the workers are college students who just don't care. They are looking for a job to supplement their student loans so that they can buy more pot or alcohol. They don't care about the person walking in the door to buy food at all. They only care that their hours are correct on the paychecks. And, with the extreme supply of ready workers in Auburn, they cycle through people who don't know what's going on at all. read more

The food here is the same as every other Panera I've ever been to. However, the customer service at this particular location is pretty atrocious. You stand in line waiting to place your order for what feels like forever, while employees walk around behind the counter in a zombie-like trance avoiding eye contact at all costs. I don't think I've ever gotten a smile out of anybody who works here, much less a pleasant hello, and it has seemed to me that on multiple occasions I am a huge bother just because I want to order some food. read more
