At that time, our real estate agent had already recommended several contractors, but we quickly ran into basic issues - some didn't respond to messages, some provided quotes that sounded outrageous without any breakdown, and communication overall felt unreliable. Alec was different from the very beginning. When he first came to our house, he listened more than he talked. He was the only contractor who not only walked through the space but also took careful measurements before providing a quote. His original quote was already reasonable, and more importantly, he honored it. There were no surprise bills or unexpected add-ons. What impressed us even more was his communication. No matter when we messaged him, his responses were always timely, clear, and respectful. Honestly, it was so impressive that it made me reflect on my own responsiveness - even with friends and family! Alec was also incredibly generous with his time. He gave us honest, practical advice based on his experience. Many things we would never have thought about, like shower niches for shampoo, proper placement of toilet paper holders, or convenient spots for towels. Even though these details were outside the original scope, he went above and beyond to help us think them through and execute them perfectly. We truly cannot express how grateful we are, not only for the quality of his work but also for who he is as a person. It's rare to find someone you can rely on so completely. He doesn't seem to stand behind his product, labor or have pride in his work. He seems to just not care. So if you get a roof from him it only lasts 8 years. Platinum proved they could figure it out at a lower cost without unnecessarily replacing/rebuilding parts of my kitchen. Platinum replaced my kitchen counters, kitchen sink, and faucet. The result is beautiful with an updated look and finish. Exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price! I have a very large, multi level deck in constant need of maintenance and board replacement. I received multiple, very high quotes to replace the wood with Trex. Platinum replaced the entire deck plus replaced rotting and damaged support structures either missed or ignored by the previous construction company hired to replace the outer edges with Trex. The result is a beautiful, safe, maintenance free deck! Finally, I have a garden atrium at the entrance to my house. It was dark due to a heavy, stuccoed overhang. Nothing would grow around my large fountain. Platinum installed a huge outdoor skylight which completely transformed that area into a beautiful, lush garden. Now I have beautiful plants and ground cover welcoming my guests instead of an embarrassing, dark, barren entry way. Platinum puts everything in writing. You know what you are getting.
