This is the one place I always want to go when I am in a fifty mile radius, it's like my stomach and you he know when butter garlic fries are close. The staff is funny and fast. Terrible food/ service! Ordered a corned beef sandwich after having not gone there for many years. Got 2 thin slices of meat, 2 slices of cheese and veggies on thick Hoagy bread. Worst than subway! "i'm not going to serve you." - exact words from the manager's mouth. This place needs to be shut down - the staff was in the back playing with their phones and laughing and running around and mimicking butt-f'in each other and joking around. It's a children's playground - not a restaurant - they can't even get an order right - the manager tried to make good and said, "I'm going to give you your food for free," for knowing they were in the wrong when taking my order. I said go ahead two times then she responded with the "i'm not going to serve you," comment with attitude. I've only been here a handful of times but NEVER AGAIN. What's crazy is that this is a lot of folks go to spot for fast, greasy, relatively inexpensive and somewhat tasty food in the south suburbs. Today, the cashier got my order wrong and overcharged me after I clearly and directly stated what I wanted multiple times. She then proceeded to place an inaccurate order and was nonchalant when I corrected her and barely apologized. The only reason why I even came was for garlic fries, and that was the one thing they failed to provide. To my surprise, not only had I not received any garlic on the fries but the wings were tiny and a bit over cooked. The manager however did give me a free drink (which I through out) because I was skeptical. Perhaps the staff members were tired and/or having a bad day. So. I ordered my food, never got a receipt. I'll accept that. But. They placed my order on the counter and never called it out. I asked them about the food after almost 10 additional minutes of waiting for them to tell me it was mines. After I told them that I wanted a new order because the food was going to be cold, they refused and said they could give me a refund. After I agreed to that, they started speaking in Spanish. The cashier then told me that since it's their native language that they have the right to do so. I told them that it's disrespectful. I get there and it's crowded, but hey, that's to be expected on a Friday night. I witnessed It because the person in front of me was so indecisive and there were several people waiting behind her. I ordered the regular sized turkey sub with everything (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, and their sauce). Then I thought, this is Big Boy...I HAVE to get the butter garlic cheese fries. I mean, you have to get these if you come to Big Boy. They're the best ever and they give you sooooo many for $2.99. I have tried other restaurants in this area and even in other states, none can compare to Big Boy. They're simply the best. Overall, It took maybe 7 minutes for my food and I was on my way...not bad at all considering the crowd. The fries were just as good as any other time I've gotten then. I would never recommend this place! Me and my boyfriend went there last night we ordered a big baby combo and a Italian beef combo with garlic fries! It was horrible I didn't even eat half of my food! My boyfriend called the next morning and the owner gave my boyfriend the runaround saying that the food is made fresh so there's no possibility that you could get sick. Also he was trying to compare himself to a pregnant woman getting sick from his food, saying "I've never gotten sick from this food." and also trying to make assumptions that somebody is allergic to spice when that's not the case at all!
