Primarily a takeout place but they do have a couple of booths. The place is clean although getting a long in the tooth. The staff I have met have been nice. The pizza is ok. Decent for this style. More cheese than I like an a thicker crust than I like. I am a bigger fan of New Haven style pizza which really doesn't exist in NB. I save my 4 and 5 stars for really good pizza. The grinders are good , fresh rolls (which seems to be rarity these days, meats even the tomatoes for mid winter were acceptable for a grinder. All these comment apply to my eat-in or pickup experience. Seems a lot of complaints are Doordash or Grubhub issues . I have long since stopped using these services as it was a disaster every time. They must work well enough to keep them in business but in neck of the woods? If am going to order delivery I pick a place that has there own drivers Pickup your own dinner from here . I ate here today, we dined in and ordered a large house special and some cheesy garlic bread. It was some of the best pizza I've had in Connecticut, and I eat a lot of pizza. The garlic bread was the best I've ever had, hands down. It was properly sliced into round pieces of toast vs the lazy split loaf you usually get around here, the marinara was tangy and fantastic and it had plenty of cheese and the cheese had plenty of flavor as well. Very buttery, well toasted. When the pizza came out it was one of those good and greasy kinds with a light but chewy crust, buttery fried bottom and flaky crumbly bites. It was all I could do to wait for it to cool enough to eat. It was overly cheesy, the toppings were all fresh, the sausage was full of fennel and flavor, and especially the mushrooms had a lot of rich flavor. The amount of toppings was also well balanced, nothing overpowered anything but you could taste every flavor. Both the workers in there were nice and friendly, the cheese to topping ratio was perfect, and the bathroom was clean. What more can you ask for, honestly? They also offered parmesan and pepper flakes and gave us plenty of napkins without us asking, then brought some more napkins out without asking when they saw we were running low. I don't know what all of these old reviews are on about, perhaps they're so old they no longer apply, but I don't even live in the area and I said before we left that we're definitely coming back to eat it again, we went there on a whim and had no idea what we were in for, just hoped it would be edible and it was so much more. I liked it so much that when I googled to find their menu and hours, yelp popped up with such poor reviews I had to specifically come here and make an account just to let people know how great this place is. They also sell pizzas by the slice, and they've got an awesome airbrushed counter that will let you know. When I go back, I'll get pictures to share, the pictures won't do it justice but I could tell from the moment the pizza hit the table it was going to be a good day. read more

First time I ever ordered for Big Cheese Pizza. It took almost an hour to come to deliver they got my food order wrong. I said cold Grinders one was hot the roast beef was rotten! It wreaked when it got to my house I had to throw it away immediately. Do not order from this restaurant unless you want to get sick with food poisoning! read more

I was super dissapointed. This place got great reviews and I was really craving some wings sooooo I ordered them up. 10 hand battered garlic parm wings and a piece of cheesecake to break the $10 mark. The wings arrived soggy and flavorless, they were super chewy and had a weird aftertaste. So I decided to bash on the cheesecake, except it was frozen solid. 2 stars for the price. read more

This place isn't horrible the manager does not take any responsibility for his actions of his work I was told that it was not his problem that my food was not delivered to my house because babe his driver doesn't know where the place is. The manger has a bad additute I was going to go pick up my food and he told me that he was not going to have it made again. Big cheese was my favorite place and now I don't like it because the workers are rude and the manager does not care on weather or not you get your food. This place is horrible!!! The driver is a complete ass. I ordered delivery from them a pizza, grinder and 2liter soda. I live on a second floor apartment. When the delivery guy got there he calls me to come down stairs since he won't come to the apartment. Drops the food on the lawn, hands me the wrong flavor of soda tells me that's what he gots so deal with it. Since I ordered from Grub Hub the order was already paid if not I would have told him I to screw off. The pizza was greasy and nasty, the grinder soggy and disgusting, and again the soda was the wrong flavor asked for diet got regular so I gave it to the roommate. read more

The worst. So upset. I I put in a delivery order for this restaurant ordered a cheeseburger combo (that's supposed to come with fries and cole slaw), a Cobb salad and a Redbull. The driver got here and said he didn't have my Redbull and asked if I wanted a refund so I said yes and got the three dollars back. Then I get back and check my order and the burger is missing cheese, they gave me a container that is meant for side sauce as my side of cole slaw. That container literally fit one bite of cole slaw. the fries were disgusting and there's no salad dressing. So i call to have it fixed and the guy rudely tells me that he knows there was cheese on the burger even though I pulled it apart and checked it myself and there was not cheese on it. He told me he was sending a driver with dressing and new fries. I asked how long it would take and he said give me 5-10minutes and it didn't get here until 35minutes after i talked to him. I will never order from here ever again read more

I simply ordered a pizza and a soda. its been over 2 hours since my time of order and now the shop is closed. The service has been terrible, the driver didn't show up and upon calling the shop I was hung up on once, and told I should have received it another time. I don't think id recommend this place to my worst of enemies. read more

the curly cheese & bacon fries are great real strips cf bacon and not over cooked, pizza extra greasy and the calamari is digusting, rubber rings with breadcrumbs is what they really are... ICK... I don't think I will order again read more
