It's your standard fast food. Fried and very salty. Standard seating, highly lit & very loud. Music plays in the background. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They were on top of keeping everything clean. I didn't like the quality of the food. The quality of the chicken was kind of rubbery. The sauces were all on the spicy side. The fries and the waffle sweet potato fries were fried hard and thin as well as the fried onions on the chicken sandwich. When they are that thin it's hard for them to retain heat, therefore they were cold. They were so salty. The Mac and cheese wasn't anything special, but they do have a cheese it crumble topping that is unique. We have not tried the ice cream and shake treats but they looked really good. Unfortunately, I will not be dining there again to find out. It was something to try.

My stepdaughter's car got towed while she was on campus, so we had to make a trip and fork over $200 bucks to get it out. So not the best start to my weekend, but I figured since we were out of town, we might as well get some good grub. I was pleased to see that Big Chicken was nearby. I missed trying them in Vegas, so this was a perfect option for lunch. The customer service was top-notch. The cashier was very informative and friendly. We told her it was our first time, so she broke down the menu for us. I was immediately sidetracked by the huge cookies they had at the front desk. However, I skipped them this time because I had just had Crumbl. I ordered the Big Aristotle sandwich meal. I was shocked when I saw that they featured the Stubborn Soda brand, so I was excited to grab a cup full of Agave Vanilla Cream Soda. The food came out too soon, I was knee-deep in a game of NBA Jam. As I scored my final points with Isiah Thomas, I decided to forfeit my game for my food. The sandwich was huge, hot, and crispy. The fries reminded me of Red Robin fries, but they were thinly sliced. The sauce bar was very cool because I am definitely a dipper. The Shaq Sauce and the Carolina mustard were my favorites. My wife truly enjoyed her meal, so we will be making a trip back and I will make sure to purchase one of those colossal cookies. Big Aristotle Sandwich add bacon 1-5=4.5. Fries 1-5=4.5. Sauces 1-5=5! Customer Service 1-5=5!

Overall a great restaurant. You order at the counter and they give you a pager until your food is ready. Next to the drink station they have a self serve sauce station which is convenient. I would say that it is a little on the expensice side, but the portions are huge. Me and my boyfriend split a meal and still could not finish it. I feel it would be better if portions were smaller and prices were cheaper. We got the Crispy chicken grilled cheese sandwhich and it was amazing! The chicken is lightly breaded therefore you get more chicken than breading. The peanut butter shake was AMAZING and I highly recommend. If you're in the area it is a must try!

Sad thin chicken patty. Small layer of mac and cheese and almost none existent onions.

Been wanting to try this place. None in my home town. What a big disappointment. I read his story on wall and if this is the food his mother served, then I feel sorry for him. He has had to try chick filet or Popeyes. How does he think this chicken stacks up. My sandwich had 1/4" thick chicken patty. And not much Dry Mac and cheese or fried onions. The crinkle fries were annoying because they were all little pieces. The sauce bar didn't have chicken sauce. Pumped it many times. The young man at counter was pleasant. I can't believe shaq puts his name on this product. Very sad.

My bf spotted this place and knew it was Shaq's chain so we decided to stop and check it out. He got the tenders and I got the 2 sliders set. The chicken is crisp and juicy. The flavor is good, could use more seasoning personally, but with the sauce it's perfect. I'm not a fan of the fries, they're cut long and thin kind of like chips. I like my fries crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these are a bit too thin to have that soft inside. But my bf liked them, they are unique. I got the peach sweet tea which was really good, not overly sweet. I tried the strawberry lemonade as well, wasn't as impressed, not sour enough for me. Overall I would definitely eat here again, wish there were more locations.

Went on opening day. The chicken was tasty and tasted as expected for a chicken sandwich. The only downside was, everything was very salty. However, we powered through the salt. The milkshakes were the best! Very creamy and we appreciated the real ice cream. We were visiting Dayton. If I lived there, I wouldn't drive out of my way to get it. Nice concept but an ordinary overpriced chicken sandwich.

This was definitely 5star chicken!! The flavor on everything was amazing!! The grilled cheese chicken sandwich was next level!! I mean seriously great, it was toasted perfectly, with the cheese melted just the right amount of melt! Just great!! The chicken tenders had the perfect crisp along with flavor. My kiddos shared a shake & that was even amazing! I should have got two!!! I can't wait to run across another one!

I also made the sandwich a combo meal. The fries were ok, but very thin. I never had thin steak fries. I feel this restaurant is overpriced for what is being offered.

Food a definite meh, Waited what seemed like a long time to get fast food. Especially disappointed when the people who sat next to us way after us were served way before us. My sandwich , when it was finally served, was so hot it burned my mouth so I had to let it sit for awhile to cool off. The toppings read good on the menu but so overpowered the chicken on the sandwich it didn't eat very good. All I tasted was hot seasoning. I pulled the chicken out, wiped off, and ate it like a tender, and actually, it was pretty good. If you go at all, just get tenders. The chicken alone was actually pretty good. If I ever go again, I'll just get the chicken as tenders, but I doubt I'll ever go again. I really don't see a reason. read more

Absolutely amazing! The variety for how quickly you get your food is amazing. It's not your average chicken place - they have some amazing sandwiches that are super unique with incredible sauces. I had the grilled cheese sandwich which included their chicken and barbecue sauce and was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The fries are cooked to perfection and they have a safe bar where you can try out their sauces. My husband got their shamrock shake and after trying it, it's one of the best shakes I've had. Stopped in for lunch and was pleased with the menu but that is where it stopped. Dining area was in disarray. Ordered a Big Aristotle and Lucille's Mac n' Cheese. Everything is a la carte which was disappointing for a $10 chicken sandwich. When the food arrived the bun was colder than room temperature and the Mac n cheese was luke warm and cold in the middle as if it were not heated up all the way in a microwave. The sandwich was rather small for the price. Overall, very disappointing experience. read more

The food is fantastic, the place is clean and the staff is very friendly. The only issue I have is when we asked for chicken tenders, we asked what side came with the tenders. The woman gave us three options, but we didn't realize everything was sold separately. I can't believe a fast food meal for three people actually cost us $55. I think if they had some pictures on the menu, it might help with the miscommunication. or maybe it was just because it was our first time, which we did mention to the person who took our order. read more

I got the popcorn chicken. It was very hot when coming out and a big portion, especially for getting the smaller size. On the side I had macaroni and cheese which was kind of bland. The Mac tasted like KFCs but had a little cheese pull and cheeze it crust but there wasn't much crust. My boyfriend enjoyed his Shaq chicken sandwich and said it was well seasoned. The fries were pretty good and their Shaq sauce was very yummy. Overall it's what you'd expect of fast food. read more

The franchise partner/owner of this building needs to change the time of operation hours because every time I come in around 7 closer to 8. They might as well close at 7:30 or 8:00 PM. The staff is always already cleaning up and shuts off the fryers and will lie to customers saying it's electrical problems. Not a good look for the building. read more

I been wanting to go here for a while but live two hours away but finally got to come try it out! I didn't realize this was one of Shaq's food chains until I walked in and saw his picture. The chicken was very juicy and delicious!! Loved the taste of the Shaq sauce! Also really loved the Mac n cheese!! My friends got the sweet potato waffle fries and they really liked those! I didn't get a picture but they both also got shakes to got and really loved those! I would recommend this place and would definitely come back! Went around lunch time and they was quick service. Banana pudding flavored ice cream sandwich is solid. Got an MDE and Uncle Jerome. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Light Crispy Outside, tender fall apart in your mouth inside. Just enough Sauce, great flavor and loved the pickles. The fries were small thinner steak fries, they were good but way over priced for what you get. I would post a pic but it's gone ha ha read more

Was really wanting to try this place for a while after heard of its opening, and was highly disappointed (maybe I had too high of expectations?). Food came out so hot that my son burned his mouth and hand on it. We ordered the M.D.E. and the Big and Sloppy sandwiches; as well as an order of the "dirty fries" and they looked good but didn't deliver on taste and ended up a pile of mush. Not worth any where near the $9.50 for them. Taste was just OK at best. I prefer Popeyes and Chickfila much more. The shake was probably the best item we ordered. Got a Diesel shake and Big Shamrock. Really liked the Diesel. If I am nearby by and in the mood for a shake, I'd probably stop in. If I was in the mood for chicken (or fries) it would be a hard pass.... read more

Tried Big Chicken on a whim this evening and the food was a little disappointing. I ordered popcorn chicken and waffle fries. The fries were not quite cold not quite warm. But, they were tasty. Not a fan of the chicken - quality and taste similar to KFC and very salty - also barely warm. The sauces are generic, I did not love any of them. Best thing Big Chicken had for me today was the tropical black tea, delicious! Service and cleanliness of store pretty good, but overall - I don't think I need to go back. read more

The service was wonderful! The food was nothing special. I got the grilled cheese chicken and asked to have no bbq sauce so I could taste the options, but it came with the spicy sauce on it. It was ok. The sandwich was big and I took 1/2 home. The fries were great. Shaq sauce makes a great fry dipping sauce. The iced black tea seemed to have an aftertaste and the lemonade was watered down. My husband got a plain chicken sandwich and he was happy with it. read more

Let me say first that the customer service is impeccable! But however the food was disappointing. Those " dirty fries" that you see below were not worth 8 bucks at all it looks like i bought them from home to go with my chicken speaking of my tenders were fried hard as hell this definitely isn't a place I'd refer to anyone. read more

Shaq's chicken joint is absolutely fantastic! You walk in and order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring the goods to you (aka counter service). We had the Big & Sloppy sandwich (perfectly fried chicken, onion straws, Mac and cheese, aoili)--the max was super creamy and fried chicken tenders with BC fries (sort of thinner steak fries). I can't say enough about the quality of that chicken-so tasty!!!! The place was busy but the service was quick. Make sure to sample the GIANT cookie-you won't be disappointed. We would've bought one before leaving had the line not been so long (we had a movie to get to). Highly recommend this place-quality chicken (free range, no antibiotics, no hormones) prepared oh so good. Two YUMS up. read more

Would love to say anything about the food, but I've never actually received any. Two days in a row our orders were canceled, once while our dasher was there waiting for the food. My partner has been so excited to try this but it seems like we may never get the chance! During the week between classes and working second shift, going to a physical restaurant isn't really an option but now I'm not so sure I'd like to go on the weekend either if this is how they treat customers. read more

Thank goodness finally a chicken place I can get behind. We have been there about 6 times since it has opened and we love it. The food is always fresh and the chicken tastes like chicken Hallelujah!! My kids love it. The price is right for something you can't get anywhere else. Dirty Fries- killer shakes and a chicken sandwich with Buffalo Sauce AND coleslaw amd blue cheese! Service is good and gets better each time. We had the pleasure of speaking the "Chef" what a personable nice guy who makes killer chicken! So glad you came to this area! I went to Big Chicken and had a bad experience the first time and Jammel got in contact with me to fix my issue and to make me have a better experience. He done a great job, was very friendly and I left completely satisfied. His staff he had there today was very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy their job. I have had Big chicken on a carnival cruise ship out of California and it was amazing, we ate there 5 times on a seven day cruise. I was disappointed to learn they were only on the west cost and I live im Ohio. I was taking a vacation to Gatlinburg this week and noticed there is one here in Miamisburg Ohio.
