The Original chicken sandwich was okay. Although the chicken was tender and the bun was top notch, the breading needed to be thicker and more flavorful. Whatever sauce they had on the bottom had a nice kick, just wish there was more of it. And for $12 it's way more expensive than another nearby chicken place in Renton. And if you make it a "meal" for $3-5 more it doesn't even include a drink. Service was very helpful and welcoming, I appreciate them taking the time to explain the menu. I have been want to try but checked out the menu , chicken strips for $10. They were giving away free samples. Chicken strips covered seasoning batter, salty, but chicken was not dry and tasted good. I think we can all agree that Shaq is one of the coolest athletes of all time. But even cooler, he's one of the best businessmen of all time and this just adds to the portfolio. But is it actually good or just another celebrity cash grab? I got the Big Cali sandwich and it was solid. It had some classic flavors with a bit of a twist. I think the crunch on the chicken was great and it was juicy in each bite. I also tried the onion rings and I think these were the real highlight. The batter on the rings was fantastic. I do like the idea of the smaller sandwiches in the Texas toast too. The Smoke Show was pretty solid, perfect if you need a little snack. So do I think this is worth a try? I do. Yeah, I think the description for the three stars is accurate. It's not bad, not great, just "ok". Service and staff are fine, as you would expect. Tables were a bit worn down and tired, but seemed clean as they could be. The shakes were good, definitely offer different types that other places and have texture and flavor. We used to like this place but this last visit was really disappointing. I ordered a Big Cali chicken sandwich. It was $11.29 and had lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, and of course, a fried chicken patty. I took my first bite and not much chicken was there. Not surprising or out of the ordinary since that happens to a lot of chicken sandwiches. You get the juiciest and thickest parts in the middle. Well usually. I got through half way and it was still cardboard thin (see picture). It got slightly thicker from there but that's it. This doesn't happen at Chic-fil-a. First time here and was super excited for the food. I ordered the Cali sandwich meal, the chicken "nuggets" meal and a snack sandwich. I loved the fries!! Hot, crispy and good. I liked the crisp on the chicken. I liked the bread on the snack sandwich. I felt there is a little aftertaste on the chicken that is supposed to be Nashville hot. I feel it lacks seasoning, maybe just a sprinkle of salt when it comes out of the fryer. Overall it was good. I'm also getting used to the spots that only have a display to order and not being able to have someone take my order. Can here after an event and waited at least 15+ minutes and they got my order wrong I ordered 2 items. The salad tasted good with the bacon bits and ranch dressing, but the hard fried onion ring on it had to be eaten by hand. There was also very little chicken on it. The Cali chicken burger was tasty. The fries were crunchy and good. It was weird that the "meal" only came with a sandwich and fries and no drink. We ordered the burger with the Mac and cheese to go, and you could only see the patty and very little of any toppings. Have ordered from here through GrubHub several times over the last year and the food was always consistent, but this week we ate in the restaurant. We were greeted by staff upon entering which was nice. We had ordered via their website; we had no trouble picking up our order from their friendly staff. Interior was reasonable, nothing particularly special other than one of their TVs happened to have cat videos playing on it (from TikTok or Youtube shorts, presumably). We had the classic chicken sandwich (good) and the Shaq Attack (very good) with fries (just fine--reasonably crisp & fresh). Large pieces of chicken in both sandwiches--really feel like the value is there in each sandwich. The crispness of the chicken from the sandwich to popcorn chicken are pretty nice, the flavour is there, not too overpowering. The waffle fries ok, the dirty fries comes with banana pepper, bacon bits, bbq sauce and melted cheese. You can add sauces, they have those near the drink fountains, they have: Shaq sauce, spicy bbq, sweet bbq and I can't read the other one. They have container and cap if you plan to bring them to go. As for beverage selections: they have soda fountains, sweet black yea, unsweetened tea and strawberry lemonade. Bottomless! Plenty of parking. Floor was a bit messy with food here and there. On a Monday around lunch time, the place quickly filled, with families and those who seemed to work in the area and were on their lunch break. It's a popular spot. The menu specialized in fried chicken sandwiches, but they have tenders, popcorn chicken, salads, sides and desserts. There's even a dessert right at the register that's a cookie the size of a flattened basketball. I'd expect nothing less from the basketball star. I ordered the cobb salad with grilled chicken, which didn't take long to get. The salad was good, with avocado, bleu cheese and a bunch of shredded greens. I would've liked more grilled chicken, especially since it was thinly cut, but it was still a tasty salad. My friend liked her chicken tenders and fries combo, which came out piping hot and fresh. The milkshake station looks innocuous but must radiate some level of horror that only the Big Chicken employees are aware of. One lone employee was lost to the task though she fought valiantly to escape its pull. But try as she might, and she did try!, she couldn't find another soul to take her place. The tickets piled higher and higher around her and she evaded by refilling the peanut butter, shaking the milk container over and over and over, re-examining the cups, and then making the shakes completely out of order at a very precise, arduous pace. The line was long and initially fast moving. The cashier quickly input everyone's order as he avoided being sucked into the milkshake station's grasp. At one point it appeared as though the milkshake station would pass to him. The woman hastily peeled off her plastic gloves and dashed to the register. No sooner was she prepped to take orders did the other employee say something quietly to her and she went back where she had to prep again to make milkshakes. Ten minutes after ordering we received our food order. Twelve minutes after receiving the food order the shake emerged - number 82 coming after 96 and 92. Sequential milkshake creations did not exist this day and to be honest 22 minutes for a milkshake and it didn't taste like I envisioned a 22 minute milkshake would taste. Tasted pretty much like a standard fast food shake. We took our order to go. The chicken sandwich was tasty, but also odd as the thickness of the filet varied from quite thin to super thick - the outside edges being the thick part and the inside piece being thin which is probably why it caught my attention since it usually is the opposite. It was juicy and tender. The popcorn chicken was a bit dry and very salty, but my friend enjoyed them. I did not like the fries. They were wide like a steak fry but cut super thin so more like what I envisioned a homemade chip would end up like. I tend to like a more potato French fry than just a crunchy starch stick but that may just be me. I am glad I went, I am glad so see the space being used again. This location is located in the Renton Landing area, so parking should not be an issue. A couple of us from work decided to eat out for lunch and let me decide what we should eat today.
