A new Korean chicken place opened up near me, yay! It is located in a plaza filled with other restaurants and grocery stores so parking is really convenient. I discovered this place as I frequent this plaza and looking at the menu outside I decided to place an order for togo. It took about 15-20 minutes for them to make, and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered half and half of the regular fried chicken and yangnyeom (I think I spelled that right). Outside was perfectly crispy, inside was really juicy. I wish they didn't charge for the side of radish though, other than that, everything tasted good! I also got the soy garlic wings before and it was good as well. I always order the wings only option. Pretty on par with average Korean chicken spots in WA Service - service was great. The girl behind the counter and a nice smile and was patient as we contemplated which options to go with. She actually asked us if we wanted to sample the different sauces so we tried most of them. It was a bit of a wait once we ordered but everything is fried to order so understandable. Ambiance - definitely a grab and go type of restaurant. they have 3 tables inside if you decide to eat in but it's really not set up for dine in. Food - overall we enjoyed it. We had the buldak, soy garlic and cheese snow. They have 3 different spicy options that for the most part all tasted the same. There was a spicy soy garlic that was delicious but last minute opted for the non spicy soy garlic (which we hadn't sampled) and the standard soy garlic was sort of lacking flavor. The cheese snow which is basically a cheese powder was really delicious and our overall favorite. Here's the problem. We ordered bone in wings for all 3 flavors. Our cheese snow box had 1 GIANT drumstick and random boneless pieces of chicken. It really looked like they just fried whatever they had left. Flavor was fine just chicken was janky. Overall it was good. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if I was in the area and needed a KFC fix. read more

My brother-in-law told me and my husband about this place since he knows how much my husband loves fried chicken and how much I love Korean food. We ordered two dozen chicken. We got two flavors: One bucket is Buldak and the other is Cheese and Vegetable. I don't even remember which one I like more but they're both delicious! Came to try this place for lunch. I came in and at first no one came to help me. Someone showed up and apologized. I ordered a 9 piece wing in soy garlic sauce and a coke. She ended up comping the soda which was nice. The classic KFC crunch is there and so satisfying to bite into. The chicken was moist and juicy and well cooked. The Yangyeom chicken was sweet and spicy. It was a perfect crunchy texture and the sauce didn't make it soggy. The Cheese Snow chicken was savory and sweet and cheesy of course. This was a random pick when getting into town. A surprisingly really good pick. Drove up from Seattle for a weekend and saw this place on yelp. Thought it had good ratings and we were in the mood for fried chicken why not make it Korean. Got the garlic soy, yangyeom, and buldak. The buldak was too spicy for the other two people I was with but it was my level of spice. I want to try the spicier one next time when I'm not having to share. It's conveniently located in the Burien Plaza so there's plenty of parking. The inside has a few tables but if you're a party is bigger than 4, expect to sit at different tables or potentially combine the tables if they'll let you. The staff was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The food was piping hot and the pieces were huge! Each bite came with a loud crunch and the inside was juicy. We definitely enjoyed the Cheese Snow flavor and it was very nostalgic of flavors back home in Asia. The Soy Garlic was good but felt as though the glaze could be a bit thicker as the soy garlic flavor wasn't super prominent in it. This is THE best place for fried chicken! Their food is always delicious. At other places consistency is often an issue but at Chicko's the chicken is always fresh and made to order. I love the variety of flavors they offer. The only thing to mention is that I wish they offered rice on their menu as we love our korean fried chicken with a side of rice vs. fries! We tried the the bone-in Buldak and Sweet Potato Fries. Fries were crispy and good; sometimes sweet potato fries can be limp and oily. The chicken was crispy with a thick sticky, decently spicy sauce. The sauce is not just heat, it has a complex flavor. The only negative I have is the cocktail napkins for such a messy food. Chicko Chicken did not disappoint! It's located in a spacious shopping center with plenty of parking. We ordered half & half and selected the Cheese Snow and Yangyeom flavors. Despite not eating it right away and bringing our take-out home to Federal Way about 20-25 minutes away, the chicken was surprisingly still crispy and juicy! The pieces are also larger than other Korean chicken shops that I have been to. I really liked the Cheese Snow flavor, but did not think the Yangyeom flavor was memorable, so I would probably pick something else next time. In terms of the chicken, it was really good. The pieces were big and the flavoring was nice. My favorite was the haek buldak because it was actually spicy! The cheese snow was pretty good too. Very clean establishment and the customer service was impeccable. I asked for comparisons on the spice level, specifically the Haek Buldak. I sampled that sauce also. If you cannot handle spicy, do not order this flavor. The heat will be too much. Know your place and this is not the time to be brave. Even ordering in-person is very easy and the staff member was careful to explain the flavors. He even offered sample of the sauce to help me make a decision. My usual go-to is yangnyeom chicken and cheese snow. The chicken is always perfectly fried and comes out juicy. The menu is pretty simple and only offers chicken along with a few sides. I ain't going back so let me try the wings. I think I got the Soy Garlic & Soy Gangjung. If it's the Gangjung it taste good at first....chicken was juicy then the spice kicked in and it was too hot for me. Slowed down for a minute and tried the Soy Garlic and that was good. First of all, Vino has impeccable customer service! Our first time there, we had questions and he spoke very honestly. He guaranteed the quality of what you pay for would be worth it and BOY was he correct. We just really liked the fact that he said that it is a "little pricey" for the area but Vino was right by saying it's worth it!! I'm not a take out girl but Chicko Chicken delivers on quality. I think the leftovers might even be better! It keeps the crunch and overall goodness. It's not tossed in thick breading.
