The roasted chicken was super good! So glad we came here last night, they were busy but food didn't take too long to get out. They were hand pressing tortillas too. Everything was flavorful and super affordable. The steak was a bit chewy for me but it's probably bc it was a little thin. Overall, super great experience. Restaurant is a little small, so when it's busy, it might take a bit to get a clean spot.

Always a good sign!! Chicken is excellent!

Came here after a race event at SIR. We didn't have high expectations when we walked up until I saw the EXCELLENT food safety rating. We ordered the Pollo Asado (roasted chicken) dinner and it is seriously some of the best chicken I have ever eaten. It had great flavor from the grill, but was perfectly, dare I say....MOIST! We enjoyed the sides, as well. FRESH tortillas were terrific! It was a lot of food, but the two of us put a pretty good hurting on it. We still had some to take home, as well. The service was friendly, but we did have to wait a while for our food. Will return if we are in the area again!

With the new job headquarters being nearby, it allows me to explore this area more and thus far, quite happy! A very solid 3.5 Stars. Reports of dry chicken and meat are erroneous at least on my Friday and Monday visits. Note: I chose roast chicken both times instead of grilled. Both proteins are quite juicy here and fear not of any disappointment. The rub that they put on both the chicken and carne are almost perfect, right before the threshold of the "tad bit salty" meter. Could eat alot of this...... The rice, slaw, and beans all seem quite fresh and no complaints with them. Tortillas are great too. Have not needed to even sample the salsa bar yet! Don't need it here! I REALLY wish I could get just the meat and exclude any sides, but they charge the same either way. Trying to lower carb intake won't happen here. While tasting great, the $14.99 for the #16 is a buck high.....it does not match the hole in the wall ambiance. With the hole in wall ambiance, there is a fly or two buzzing around but most likely just situational. Will always consider if nearby.

It's cinco de Mayo, and I really didn't want to cook. Due to the lockdown, we can only do delivery or curbside pickup. After searching for a place on yelp, we decided to try El Senor Pollo De Kent. It was listed on door dash, plus the delivery fee was so affordable. Being high risk it was best for us not to go pick up, but have it delivered. They did not disappoint. Even though this place is basically down the street, we have never tried this place. Growing up in L.A., it's difficult for us to find good Mexican restaurants. We've tried several in our area that were not good, so we are skeptics when we see good reviews on yelp, because so far we haven't found any we liked. That being said we were pleasantly surprised by our food from El Senor. We wanted to support the businesses in our area, and so glad we did. The roasted chicken was moist with good flavor, my husband loved the spicy sauce, and the whole roasted jalapeños. I thought the little steak tacos were pretty tasty. Is it like the ones in Southern California? Not really, but it was still good. As soon as the lockdown ends, we will for sure visit this establishment in person.

Just, wow. This place is incredible. And I almost don't wanna write this review so it doesn't become so popular that they start charging more money and offer wait service and move into a fancier building and all that hipster BS. El Senor Pollo De Kent is perfect just the way it is. I came here for lunch after a meeting and the place instantly smelled so good soon after I stepped inside. El Senor Pollo has a straightforward menu with entrees, combinations and even whole chickens for sale. After asking the cashier what she recommended, she said anything with the chicken, so I ordered a number one, which is a two-piece chicken combo. It didn't take long for the cashier to bring out my food, and even before sinking my teeth into my lunch - I just knew I was gonna love it. The chicken was incredibly juicy and looooved the hint of spice seasoning that they used on it. I also liked that the number one combo came with dark meat, which is what I prefer. And with the chicken was rice, beans, salad and a choice of corn or flour tortillas. And holy shit were the corn tortillas amazing!!!!! I told myself that I would only eat one, just to try since I'm on dat low-carb life (trying!!!), but they were so freaking amazing!!! Even as I was dining in the cashier was making the tortillas right there, so you know there is something about housemade tortillas that Mission can't ever do for ya. The rest of the sides were also very good, especially when you combined it with the chicken to make a taco. UGH, carbs, but, LOVE. Also make sure you take advantage of their salsa bar! I tried a little of everything and loved all of the different flavors. For anyone who loves SPICY - then this won't disappoint. No mild/child's play here. My only regret was only getting the two-piece chicken combo instead of the half-chicken combo, or hell, even a whole chicken. But now you know where to find me in Kent. I WILL BE BACK.

Good, fast, and I'm assuming authentic Mexican food and chicken at reasonable prices. The seasoning they use on the chicken is quite nice.

Wait started probably around 6pm although there were still empty tables then. They provide garnishes for your water and also provide 4 salsas/accompaniments for your meal. I got the 16 oz ribeye served on hot stones. They cooked it slightly less than what you want, so for my medium rare, they cook it rare. It also comes with chimichurri and molacete(?) which has a more refreshing flavor. They season with rosemary and even light a branch on fire for more aroma. I tried a bite of my friend's filet mignon which was good, but my preferred cut is the ribeye or NY strip. We also shared the papa loca (worth it - so good) and the cauliflower (not as good, but I'm comparing it to a version made by Cuerno, a Mexican steakhouse in NY). I had a glass of the pinot noir and the garzon, and both were good, slightly tannic and 'juicy'.

The first time I got the Wagyu tacos which were sooo good and I love the variety and flavor of the sauces. I loved how simple the taco Wagyu is as the meat is high quality For my second visit I got the Vacio Wagyu which came in a sizzling hot stone plate and it stayed hot for me to cook all of my Wagyu. It didn't really need the accompanied sauce but it was nice to have. I felt the large rock salt was a little bit nub and would make it too saucey but I found the rosemary a perfect combination with the Wagyu especially as one was cooking underneath. Excellent service as well - our server was attentive and timely. I've only gone here for lunch and we did not have to make a reservation as it was not too busy!

He only came here because he thought that if the tamal cost $6 then they had to be good. They were not. When I asked him where he got them and he said here, I looked it up on Yelp, who was saying they were permanently shut down. Little to no flavor. Traditional Guatemalan tamales have a slice of red bell pepper, and an olive in it, giving it more flavor but this one just had the meat and let me add that the amount of bones that were in the tamale was just absolutely unacceptable. Everyone knows that you don't put bones in tamales. The amount of times I bit into a bone or had to spit them out, made the eating process so unpleasant. I had told my husband to not come here anymore since it's so overpriced but I guess he forgot. It was just another reminder why I don't come here anymore

I'm sorry that I have to revise my original review. Instead of 2 stars, I'm changing it to 1…read more The reason is not only my original experience but also the owner's response. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, they chose to argue with my experience and made factual claims that are inaccurate. The reply also reads like a generic AI generated response instead of a genuine attempt to address customer feedback. First, there is no such thing as a "gaucho torta". In Argentine spanish, the word torta refers to a sweet cake. A savory sandwich is not called a torta, so this is clearly a creative invention rather than an Argentine dish. Second, my review was specifically about these kinds of "creative" reinterpretations, not about traditional cuisines. I have traveled extensively throughout Argentina, as well as other countries in Latin America and Europe, and I appreciate that every restaurant is free to innovate. However, when you choose to reinterpret a traditional cuisine, you should also expect that some customers will appreciate those changes while others will not. Both perspectives are valid. Regarding the chimichurri, traditional Argentine recipes have historically relied on neutral oils such as sunflower or corn oil, although recipes vary by region and household. Presenting your version as the definitive authentic one while dismissing a customer's perspective is misleading. The disappointing part was not the food itself but the response. Instead of engaging respectfully with a customer who offered thoughtful criticism, the owner chose to argue with my experience and present questionable "facts" as if they settled the matter. Constructive criticism is an opportunity to improve, not something to dismiss. Here is my original review, my apologies for the confusion on the "bowl": There is plenty of steak, but the bowl is styled to appear fuller than it is, with an excessive amount of greens doing the visual heavy lifting. The steak itself is buried under butter and a heavy white sauce that mutes rather than complements the beef. The large, roughly cut potatoes aspire to a rustic aesthetic but read as inexpensive filler. Most confusing is the lack of culinary identity, the dish isn't recognizably Mexican, Italian, or particularly refined. It mistakes richness for sophistication

The short: everything about the experience brought me joy. The food was well seasoned. The space is…read morebeautiful. The prices were fair. And the staff were delightful. The long: steak culture is incredibly mundane and steakhouses themselves often overcommit and underdeliver. Vue has cracked the code bringing flavor to steak houses. They go beyond the traditional salt and pepper approach and introduce Mexican and Hmong flavors in their dishes. If haven't had the honor of dining in a home from either culture, you're in for a treat. I personally like their New York strip Their family love can be felt in the decor, the interactions, the attention to the customers and the food. For me these were flavors and the culture of care I grew up with. So I'm exited for their success, mark my words they will be the best steakhouse in Washington in the next 2 years. They're working with something special here.
