Love it! For video game lovers this is the kind of video game store that's worth going to! Forget the toy chain stores, this place has games and systems from all eras, new and used. I've been going there since two weeks after they opened and I've always liked the store, but now they even have beer and pizza and gaming stations with consoles new and old! They're rockin' it! The owner is one of the most cordial helpful shopkeeper type people I've ever met. Very honest and willing to work with me any time I had a problem or questions. There is one guy who works there who has a rude sarcastic attitude some of the time, and just seems like a pretty nice guy other times. Either way he never seems to want to take the time to talk to me or answer a question or get out a game, etc. He seems to prefer playing Xbox or talking to his girlfriend. This guy is the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5. The prices here generally are a little steep too, but that is no reason why I would drop a star. Anyone can charge as much as they want for anything and it's no skin off my back. It just means I don't go home with a game or two as often as I would at, say, Video Game Headquarters or CD/Game Exchange. Also, at this store, there is some openness to a bit of haggling so that also makes up for having steep (or even crazy sometimes) prices. ALSO, they occasionally hit us with surprise customer appreciation days where they just give stuff away! So that also more than makes up for it. read more

My son has always loved this place and for years has traded in his old game systems and games for store credit. This was important because he was 9 when he started doing this. He would try out games and the staff treated him so well. Well all of that has changed now. Today he took his games in and came out very upset. Evidently, kids aren't allowed in there anymore and can't trade anything anymore because -and this is exactly what the employee said- it's now a pawn shop. This is really too bad. My kid was a loyal customer and they seem to have forgotten that these kids they are turning away today would be the customers of tomorrow. read more

Great selection of used games and hardware and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They like their customers and treat them like fellow gamers than just consumers. They host tournaments and other events for their customers as well. I had a very good experience when I stopped by to have a hardware issue resolve for me. This place has a wide selection of games, over many systems to choose from. All of the games are priced more reasonably than at any other places I have been. Mostly all of the original XBOX games are around $5.They also have hard to find retro games and game systems, as well as accessories. I can get a custom made to my specifications XBOX 360 controller at this place for less than the cost of a new plain black or white XBOX 360 controller. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I have never had a staff member not know the answer to a game related question. When I am looking for different games, I always look here first. They buff out all the scratches, before they sell the games, so I have never gotten a game that does not work. They have a great return policy too. If I bring back a used game, even because I just didn't like it, they will let me return it, and trade for a different game, or the same value. read more

Fantastic place. Current-generation games are extremely well-priced, better than most other used game stores, and they have an assortment of classic and retro games as well as consoles all for sale in very good condition. Nice guys too, they're often playing old SNES or Genesis games while you shop and really know their stuff. Amazing fun place to meet up with a friend for a beer and some gaming. Many game choices and cheap everything. Couches are comfy and new, TVs are big. Sometimes it's hard to hear your specific tv bc of all the other TVs but that's okay. Really nice and helpful staff. Full bar is awesome and has soda. Doesn't have mixed drinks as far as I know, just beer, cider, coffee on nitro, and soda. They have pizza and garlic knots and salad. Why should I leave? :p best of all it's kid friendly: not 21+ only. Their hours are flexible for people who don't like to socialize too, I.e. daytime gaming is less crowded. Definitely try out if you're a gamer. Great for students and families on a budget. read more

As a retro/used video game store, this place is hard to beat. Totally decent selection of games, especially for older consoles, at really excellent prices. New titles come in all the time, so if you don't see what you like the first time, try the next week. What makes them a "5" in my book is that the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. I've found the people that run places like this tend toward snobbery or condescension. These guys, conversely, are super helpful, knowledgeable, very customer service-oriented, and attuned to the needs of their clients. I went once looking for a Game Cube controller, and since they were out of stock, they referred me to another business in town that would have it. To me, that's the height of customer-centered management. The recent expansion is pretty great already, and I imagine it will improve the longer they have it. The beer selection is massive, and they have excellent deals on growler fills and pints. I enjoyed the pizza, though I think that's a separate business. The one possible caveat to the awesomeness of this place is that the video game selection for play seems to be "what you see is what you get," as in you can only play what's pre-loaded. That may not be the case; I only went to that end of the store once and didn't clarify whether I wanted a specific system. But it didn't seem like they could readily hook up a Wii or a Game Cube by request, though based on how helpful they are in other respects I'm betting they'd make the effort if it was possible. All that said, it's a very new component of the store, and it seems like they're improving on things all the time. Overall, if you're in need of great games at great prices, or you just want to grab a craft beer and play a round of Battle Front, this is the place. My friends and I love coming here. The beer is great, the pizza is great, and we can play Mariokart with 8 people. Pretty unbeatable.

So I went into the store with a friend, and we were completely ignored for 10 minutes even though we had repeatedly asked for help. The clerk at the desk had chosen to pick up the phone and instead of helping the customers (we were the only ones there) that were in store. PUT THE CALLER ON HOLD. Its basic store etiquette. The customers IN STORE should come first over a potential customer on the phone. He didn't even acknowledge we were there for those 10 minutes. My friend picked up a game off the back edge of the counter because he needed me to read the small print. When I told him which game it was he wanted to buy it, and look at a couple more that were under the counter. When the guy finally came over, he flipped out on my friend for picking up the game, and told him to leave. They have lost my friends business due to the neglect and poor treatment. All he wanted to do was look at and buy some games! read more

Again another crap game store in Eugene that's 3 out of 3 you would think they would want to compete with the bigger game stores aka GameStop yet they don't. Their prices are more expensive for used stuff and their trade credit is one forth what they sell it for oh and if you want cash then don't waste your time here as they will offer you a tenth of what they will get. They are crooks the only good thing is they know video games but they will lie straight to your face what it's worth then if you show them that their lying they make excuses. They are obviously slowly going out of business and i only wish it would happen faster. read more

This place is unique...gaming (if you so desire) but more importantly (in our minds) an incredible selection of craft brews in diverse styles on tap & several hard-to-come-by ciders on tap as well --where generous samples are offered before you decide on your winning selection. The cute chap pouring knows all the relevant details pertaining to the pours you are considering. And, another unexpected thrill at this place is the NY-style oh so gourmet delicioso pizza you can order by the slice or by the pie...some unique & tasty combinations like pesto & roasted veggies (squash, eggplant, red pepper, etc.), others boast imaginative meat-veggie combos...the pizza maker says it takes him a few days from start to finish to make his homemade dough for this perfect crust... seriously now: we are convinced this is easily the best pizza in Eugene--certainly a little known secret! read more

So this place is cool and all but what a bunch of fools. I called asking about Madden 15 for the one and the guy on the phone proceeded to tell me it didn't come out until the 24th of September... The game came out August 26th there smart guy! So they lost 60$ from me, and I even asked him to double check and he continued to say "ya man I just checked it's the 24th of this month". Had 2 hours to kill downtown, thought I could bring a game and play it here. WRONG. All game stations full witch would be fine if they didn't have 3 big screen TVs on the other side of the place (totally empty I might add) playing commercials non stop, woman behind the bar said they where for the sports games, I saw no sports games just perfectly good TVs for more players. So I waited my 45 min for a PS4 to open up trying to play marvels spider-man when the controller wont connect, only employee clueless I had to fix it by looking online only to find out no games installed on the PS4 and the woman would not let me install Spider-Man god knows why. All the other Xbox and PS4's had external drives and a extensive library but not this one. Yet she took my money and said no refunds since I didn't want to play smash brothers. And to top it all off it was at least 85 degrees in there with some cheap portable A/C units trying to keep up. This place used to be so great but not anymore. read more
