This is the second SunRiver location we've been to and it delivered. We searched this place out on Yelp. It's a pub/restaurant with a fresh, inviting space that includes a full service bar and a very friendly staff. Sitting at the bar stools is always a favorite vibe of ours. After getting our drinks ,I ordered the Pastrami melt. It's more like a Ruben and I paired it with the soup of the day, OMG! Always check out the soup...incredible! My wife had the Falafel burger. Yum was all she said between bites. We were very impressed with the food. The beer I selected was just what the doctor (J) ordered. I simply love a WC IPA! The food was ok, but it was a little disappointing. That may have been because the sandwiches my sister and I ordered, both turkey dip sandwiches, were sent without the dip! That is the whole point of the sandwich; there's no point to getting it otherwise. It's a HUGE pet peeve of mine to have to check the bag when picking up an order, and I usually forget to do it--as was the case this time, and only when I was home and my sister asked for the jus did we find it was missing. So she then had to go pick up the jus, which was a 20 minute round trip so the sandwiches were cold by that time. I have to say that I was a little surprised that they didn't even offer an extra side of fries or anything for this issue. And it was lucky my sister was here and offered to go pick it up because I would not have been able to pack up my toddler to return to the restaurant for that. The Brussels sprouts were pretty good, as we ordered that for an appetizer. Mom had the fish and chips, and while she said they were fine, she also was surprised that they didn't have a lot of flavor. She was expecting a better batter. They have a children's menu, which was a surprise because when I had originally been looking at their menu online I was expecting to have to order a full entree for my daughter. It was only when I placed the order--which I had to do online; it seems like they don't take orders over the phone--that the children's menu was revealed. I was really looking forward to giving this place a shot and I left a bit underwhelmed. I may come back if circumstances dictate, but I won't make a beeline to return. read more

Got take out catering from Oakway Pub for a large group. It was ready on time, easy to pick up and plenty of food! Everything was really organized for putting together at home. The salads were individually packed and not tossed for premium crisp freshness with all of the toppings. The Mac and cheese and sliders were the right temp and a delight. This is a pub- sports bar atmosphere, casual and fun, friendly. Service is great. Food is really good with a limited food menu. I love the cauliflower appetizer. The burger was delicious, great flavor and mix of toppings- but the bun needs to be sturdier. I felt like I couldn't put it down or I'd not get an intact bite. **NON-DRINKER REVIEW ** This was super close to the Hyatt Eugene that we were staying at, my husband loves some beer, so this seemed like a no-brainer. I don't drink, so this review is for food only, although I will say my husband was satisfied with his beer flight. I was intrigued by all the different meats they offered, and I try to keep it low carb, so I actually got sides of meat. I appreciated how the server was accommodating to this uncommon request. My husband got a burger which he enjoyed, and a soup which was surprisingly hearty and not as creamy as I would have thought. Overall the food and service were decent. We had some Sunriver beer once again after many years. I fondly first remember having them in Bend and really liked my beer experience back then. We made sure to try out a beer that we haven't had before from the brewery and we were successful at that. We had the Rippin- NW (Northwest) Pale Ale. It was nice and refreshing to be sure! Flavor highlights to look for when enjoying this beer are hoppiness, clean and piney. The body of the beer is smooth and it's light bodied. One of our favorite lunch spots with the best beef sliders in town. The buns are soft with a secret sauce inside. It's perfect for enhancing the sliders. Tacos are great and really amazing nachos, not your average fare. Service is exceptionally friendly and while I don't drink beer, everyone seems to find wonderful selections. Sunriver Brewing is a family friendly pub. Clean and well lit, all feel welcome here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food menu apparently has gone through several changes and is currently just one page. However, that one page has some very nice options. The main reason we are here today is because word of mouth is they have a dish called 'General Tso's Fried Cauliflower'. So, we ordered it and the four of us shared it as an appetizer. The garlic ginger sauce with sesame seeds was a spot on representation and absolutely made the dish. I had expected battered cauliflower bites, but instead it was whole lumps of gently fried cauliflower drenched in a delicious General Tso sauce. This is so tasty with the cauliflower cooked to a perfect doneness, that I could have been fine just having that as my entree. I also had the 'Rotating Sandwich'. Today it was somewhat like a Philly with a few differences. It came on a nice sized french bread type of a hoagie roll. It had a seasoned ground beef instead of skirt steak. Some interesting flavors came out of this, then I realized there were small Jalapeño strips in place of bell peppers and some chipotle aioli. I'm not a fan of jalapeño at all but was caught off guard by this. It was actually quite good because the jalapeño strips were very small which lent flavor to the sandwich, not just heat. The aioli was applied lightly which also added to the flavor without being just Spicy Hot. The generous portion of fries were crispy, not oily and came with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert there was the IPA Brownie. A dollop of vanilla ice cream on a flat brownie. It was topped with a Marionberry sauce and was definitely worth it. read more

The food was so-so, though; the chicken sandwich's bread was served cold, and the chicken was a little dry, but the fries were good. The bacon burger was cooked well-done rather than medium. Haven't been here since before COVID but some friends wanted to meet here for dinner so I was looking forward to seeing how it is a few years later. The menu is pretty small and none of the entrees particularly peaked my interest but the beer cheese with a giant pretzel was calling my name. The pretzel was good but the beer cheese was nothing to write home about. On tap is pretty much all beer understandably but I'd love more than one cider option. They do have a full bar so cocktails are also an option. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the beers on tap. I couldn't find the other than beer beverage menu on their website but I have posted them in my review. Everyone else in my party was not particularly in love with anything they ate so I'm not sure we'd come back for a girl's night but maybe I'll be back to try something else on the menu soon read more

Sunriver Brewing is easily one of my favorite pubs in town. The food is consistently great, the beer selection is solid, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a local spot. It's also an awesome place to watch sports!!! Football watch parties every Duck game make it even better. There's always good energy without feeling hectic. But honestly, the best part of Sunriver Brewing is the people. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and impressively fast. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a game, they make the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. I eat here about 1-2 times per week, since it's become my local spot. Highly recommend for good food, good beer, and great vibes. The rotating beers always keep it fresh, and they do good seasonals like any brewery worth checking out. Would like to see more dark beers, but they always have good pale and ipas for casual beer sipping. They make excellent cocktails as well, so not just a spot for beer! read more

Service was great. Food....... Pretty average. I had the Mac n cheese w/bacon. Very very very greasy like I could pour it out. Flavor was ok. Could've been a lil more cheesy. Came at lunch time on a weekday. Took a bit it seemed to get our food but we were a party of six right at noon. One of three tables at first I think. Co-worker got the bowl with rice black beans chicken etc and it looked really good. If I return I'll be trying that. read more

Excellent service, tasty food and family friendly! We arrived on a weeknight around 5pm and were greeted and seated right away. Roughly 90 seconds later, our toddler accidentally bumped over an entire glass of water across the table and floor. OOPS! Seemingly out of nowhere a worker (he did not have a cape, but should have) appeared armed with a plethora of towels to help clean up. I was thankful and impressed. Our table started with the Pub Nachos to share, which were delicious and easily could have been my meal! We added shredded pork on the nachos and it was so tender and flavorful. I chose the Wagyu Sliders for dinner, influenced after reading other rave reviews here for the sliders. Well.....the reviews are not wrong, folks! YUUUMMM. Highly recommend. And even though this is a brewery, I opted to try the sparkling wine on tap which was nice and light. Overall, I had a really excellent first experience at Sunriver for its helpful service, food/drink quality, and being good for both families and groups. Will be back! read more

We came here on Friday and loved it! Our server was super friendly and personable and the food & drinks were delicious. We were seated immediately after arriving and were instructed to use their QR code menus--I'm assuming these are sticking around even after Covid restrictions have been lifted. We got the pub nachos to share--very flavorful and I appreciated that they had actual beer cheese on the nachos (I hate when restaurants use shredded melted cheese). My fiancé ordered the steelhead bahn mi and the Bondi Beach Party pale ale. He loved both! I got 2 margaritas (one strawberry, one marionberry) and the shrimp tacos. The margaritas stole the show for sure! Unfortunately, I thought the shrimp tacos were just ok so I don't think I'd reorder those. We went with my fiancés brothers who ordered the wagyu sliders, the turkey dip sandwich, and the Ahead of Schedule double IPA. Both enjoyed their meals as well. We spent $130 (before tip) on everything which I feel was a bit much for 4 people, but we did order multiple drinks which always raises the price of dinner. My wife and I went out for date night looking for a new place we hadn't tried. This was not our first attempt to eat here. The first time the entire restaurant was closed for a private party, no problem, we went elsewhere. This time we were greeted by a young lady and seated right away. She told us your server will be right with you. We took our seats and as my wife began looking at the menu, I scanned the room. The restaurant was not very busy as it was after the dinner rush. There were a number of empty tables and one tall table in the middle still needed bussed. It appeared there were at least two servers, one of them taking orders at a table of 6, and a couple of bartenders. I then turned to the menu and found a couple of options for dinner and a brew that sounded tasty. My wife and I took to conversation as we sat looking across the restaurant. 10 minutes later, still with no contact from a server, I watch the server that was taking orders from the table of six finish up and proceed to put the orders in. She then turns to the other server standing near the end of the bar looking in our direction, has a discussion and heads our way. As she walks our direction looking at our table she stops at the table beside ours, which has an older couple who had their food when we sat down and asks how's everything tasting. At this point, I thought she would proceed to our table. Ohh boy was I wrong, she then proceeded to carry on a 5 minute conversation with the couple about where they were from, where she was from, how she loves this area and her life story... she the asks them if they needed anything else and the couple orders two more beers. She then turns, without ever acknowledging our table, and proceeds back toward the bar. At this point, we had been seated for well over 15 minutes and not a single contact from a server! My wife and I decided that this place is not for us and left the restaurant, again finding another. If you are looking for a place with horrible service to its clientele then this one's for you! Second visit and probably should have quit while we were ahead. First time we sat at the bar and an amazing male beer tender added to the experience. Today we ate with another couple. Floors around our table had mashed food on the floor. Beers were fine. Wife's pastrami melt and other wife's sliders were good. Myself and the other guy made the mistake of ordering the Nashville Hot Chicken. I've had this style of chicken across the country, including Nashville and they were sub-par. Rolls were dense and stale. Chicken was thin and soaked in something that looked like BBQ sauce. It was neither hot, nor moist, nor tasty. Both of us spent most of the meal shaking our heads at our choices. Should add that fries were excellent. What I can't stand for a place with $18 sandwiches and $8 beers is servers that don't remove empty plates and check on additional beers. I stood up and carried our empty plates to another table after them sitting in front of us for 10 minutes. I handed my wife the bill as I'd have left a very low gratuity. Will not return. read more

Don't get me wrong, they looked beautiful and appeared so appetizing, plus we were starving but still didn't finish the burgers as the meat was not seasoned at all. Even with all the wonderful toppings already on it, it just needed some salt and pepper or fat? These were the leanest and driest patties I've seen in a long time. Went to this place on a Friday night, and it was poppin! We had a large party, and the server was very accommodating and nicer I had the wagyu sliders. We we so happy to see that one of our favorite Oregon breweries opened up a location in Eugene. We have really enjoyed going to the one in Bend previously and were excited to have one just down the road from us. Always an interesting rotating tap of beers. I love their cocoa cow and they often have fun variations like raspberry or s'mores to go with this chocolatey stout. On our last visit had a pretty good easy drinking cream ale if you are looking for something a little lighter. The food is pretty decent too, we like their fried cauliflower app a lot and have shared a few other tasty sliders there as well. We recently ordered the sambal shrimp app, which was decently tasty but did only include about 10 very tiny shrimp, not a great deal. Their outdoor seating is nice and they have a few fire pits that you can sit around on a cold evening. Service has been friendly but can be a bit hit or miss or attentiveness depending on how busy they are, it's a popular place! read more

Just wanted to put in a good word to one of our favorite family spots in Eugene! This restaurant has always served us so well, from when we were young and just beer drinking to now with our littles in tow. We love that they take the time to know us, give beer recommendations that are their expert advice and keep their food fresh and delish! The staff has always been so kind to our kids too! The food here is fantastic!!! The kobe beef sliders might be the best sliders I've ever had. And you HAVE to order the dirty lil fries. Silly name but they are delicious! The sauce that they drizzle on top really elevates the flavors! If you order a salad I recommend trying their blue cheese vinaigrette. I was skeptical but it was very good! The servers were also attentive and very friendly. Our waiter was very busy but we had multiple servers check on us throughout our time there.
