I am so excited to add PLAY into my regular remote work rotation. They have non-alcoholic options which is great for me. But they have an entire wall of tapped beers as well as a separate cocktail lounge for those who would like to get their drink on. They have a pretty diverse collection of food trucks on their back patio. From grilled cheese, to tacos, to pizza, to katsu, there is something for every pallet. It's a big space so there is a lot of room for activities. Activities like virtual golf, batting cages, and arcade games. Overall, this is a great addition to Eugene and I am looking forward to seeing people make it one of their regular go-to hang out spots.

Really fun place to come have a drink and play games if you're a big kid at heart or just have real kids. My favorite part was the batting cages!! There's two speeds which made it easy for me being a beginner (: I was not a huge fan of the food trucks in the back but at least you have a few options back there for a bite to eat.

Play is awesome! What a fun place to meet up with friends, eat some good food, grab a drink, and play games! The drink selection is great - I love that they have a cocktail area in addition to the beer hall. The food truck selection is good, bounty is a favorite (and pictured here)! And finally, the actual playing part is the best! We loved the darts, shuffleboard, and yard games outside! Will definitely be coming back here again!

They have been needing something like this for a while now. They are still growing and adding new things which is great. At the moment they have some food trucks in the back, batting cage and a golf simulator. They have plenty of seating inside and out so it's a great place for the family. Another plus is that they have parking so you don't have to worry about finding somewhere to park.

I thought this was a really cool space. The owners are the contractors and they put a lot into it. Golf Simulator, batting cages, other games, food trucks out ba k. Just a fun place to hang out and get some e food and drinks.

He was incredibly kind and accommodating, which really made the experience stress-free. The pizza was amazing -- we got the pepperoni, and it was seriously some of the best we've had in a long time. The service overall was awesome, and the kids had an absolute blast. Huge thanks to the staff for turning a stressful moment into such a fun and memorable day for our family!

We had racked up over 200 tickets playing skee ball, basketball, etc. So far we were enjoying ourselves. We played the coin drop game and were able to push over a tower and get several bonuses and racked up over 500 tickets on the drop alone plus another 200 or so in bonuses. We checked our ticket balance and it hadn't registered any of the tickets from the coin drop. I went to a worker there who told us since we had no "proof" of that many tickets that she couldn't justify giving us the full amount. She only gave us a partial credit (way less than half of what we were owed). Who knew we needed to record ourselves winning so many tickets to "prove" we weren't liars?! We still had money left on our arcade card and had been planning to order dinner there, but the whole experience soured us from patronizing them any further and we left. We aren't sure we will return to spend the rest of our credit on the arcade card, or redeem tickets we had accrued (minus a few hundred). It was just very disrespectful.

Big City Gaming and Home Team Kitchen- 4 stars…read more Big City Gaming is a Sports Bar in Eugene. I went here on the 4th of July which is hella less annoying than 4th of July in the Mission in SF aka my hood. So my beloved Lotus Garden aka vegan Chinese food that is fab that I would frequent in the day when in lived in Eugene was closed on the 4th despite their website saying they were open and walked there to find out they only are currently doing take out. Damn like Kendrick Lamar So I walk back to Big City Gaming and the friendly bartender tells me that they have an all vegetarian menu even though it isn't pure veg aka they have non veg too. It's all good baby, baby. I am starving after walking heaps in the hard sun like Eddie Vedder. So I get some water and check out the all veg menu. Upon the bartender's suggestion I go with the jackfruit tacos. They were quite alright aka two corn tortillas filled with generous portions of fajita style grilled jackfruit, topped with cabbage, pico de gallo and our signature avocado crema sauce sprinkled with queso fresco. I decided to add vegan crema and non-dairy cheese for a buck. It hit the spot. I did feel like a fish out of water with all the screens showing baseball as basketball is my jam. I am a huge Warriors fan and sad we lost Donte yet he is going to the Knicks. Cool atmosphere with screens for sports and games such as shooting basketballs in the hoop etc. Recommended for sports night!

This place came highly recommended by my father in-law this past week. Normally I take his…read morerecommendations with a grain of salt, but this one was brilliant. My husband and I have been playing lots of board games with both friends and family lately. So I had to go check it out. If you're a board game player, need dice for D&D or card sleeves for Star Wars CCG, this place is amazing. They have brand new games, consignment used games, and basically everything you could ever want. The employee working when I went in was super helpful, talked to me a bunch, answered questions, and clearly enjoyed his job. This store is slightly cheaper than buying board games from Barnes and Noble, which is awesome. Usually local stores are more expensive, but that isn't the case here. This makes it even easier to support a small local business and nothing makes me happier than that. Would I return? Repeatedly! I will definitely be back and become a repeat customer. Another great bonus is Xicha and Toxic are just minutes from here. So it's the perfect excuse to grab dinner and a new game for game night in the same trip.

I've been…read morehere a few times when I was home; once upon a time there was a woman organizing a ladies game night and I went to it a few times, lots of fun. They have several tables set up in the back for folks to play games from the store's collection, or you can bring your own and play. They do have a good store collection if you're looking for something to try, or you can buy something off the shelf and give it a whirl! I was here once with someone who was looking for some novelty version of a Catan or something and the guy seemed a little snooty about it... or maybe it was Tixket to Ride? Anyway it might not be a game he plays but he works in a game shop so it would make sense to know about upcoming releases, and not say that it's not something he's interested in so he doesn't know. Board gamers can be snobby, but TTR is good and though it's not my #1 fave (that's Grand Austria Hotel), it's fun. They do have a really good selection of games here; I picked up my copy of Splendor here, as well as the Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts expansion, and they have many of the standards like Brass, Catan, Carcassone, Dixit, and so on. I think but don't know if they buy used games, so give them a call if you have them. This store is actually the small one from my understanding. Their flagship is in Medford, which I haven't been to, but I think that's also where their distribution arm is as well. I have Kickstarted a LOT of games and it's always cool to see it's coming from Funagain; feels like supporting a hometown/near hometown business. Parking can be difficult here depending upon the time of day, events happening at the store, and events happening in the neighborhood. Luckily the LTD station isn't too far away so that is a solid transportation alternative.
