Just finished a movie next door with friends and were in need of some food. Big City Wings was in our peripheral and we all happen to be wing lovers so it was a no brainer to stop in. It worked out for us as we were seated immediately and got our servers undivided attention[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Service was great. One of the things I love most about this chain is that they have really great daily deals. Since I had just ate my weight in popcorn next door, I skipped over their appetizers and set my sights on the wings. I ended up going with the wing basket which came with 10 wings and a side. They have around 20 flavors to choose from. I like options. I went with the Buffalo Hot which is a saucy option and the Spicy Ranch which is a dry rub option. I've had these flavors before and they packed some heat along with flavor. At this location, it fell a little short though. The wings just didn't pick up the flavor options. They were cooked perfect and weren't bad by any means, but just ate pretty bland for me. I like a little kick and like the sauce or rubs to stick to the wing. The side of waffle fries also were room temp at best. My friends seemed to enjoy their choices. Overall, I am pretty sure I got them on an off day. The chain usually hits the spots on most visits. AND they don't have a minimum amount you have to order per flavor, so if you want to try something out you can get just one or two wings. This is great place to grab lunch or dinner before a movie. Located right across the walkway from Regal Theaters. We ordered three entree meals with garlic parmesan, medium buffalo, and lemon pepper wings. Each with its own sides of onion wings, fried mushrooms and waffle fries. Service is good though it was slow for a Monday but she was still attentive. So it was a quiet night. There are plenty of TVs and entertainment to watch everywhere in the restaurant. I came with some of my family on a Monday night , party of 10 , the place wasn't packed and we got seated immediately our server was Justyne G she was somewhat nice at first but she got more passive aggressive as the time when on. When it came down to the bill she had asked us at the very beginning whether it would be together or separate we said separate and she seemed fine with it , now that we're trying to pay she's a little all over the place and she miss charged items, over charged some people and completely rang up something entirely different than what the person ordered , we were all very confused,and some number weren't adding up and she was just getting very passive aggressive with us . When we were asking for receipts she told us what u don't believe me in a tone gave us a look and walked away shaking her head , she came back gave us our receipts told us that next time for us to Zelle each other and that she's had a really long day and needs a break and walks away. We talked to a manger and explained everything exactly how it happened and he clearly didn't care just kept repeating that he just so shocked that Justyne is getting a negative response that she always gets good reviews and the only thing he can do for us is fix the bill , as we're talking to the manager Justyne comes over clearly bothered and aggressively says that our checks have already been paid and she doesn't see why we're still here talking to a manger , the manger just told her to go to the back and he's gonna handle it. Overall I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received at big city wings and would not come back here , service was slow , server was passive aggressive, and manager didn't care .The food was decent but I still wouldn't come back if this is what I have to deal with . Also on the receipt u can see the note she put for the cooks and it said ASAP te amo which I think is unprofessional especially if the customer is able to see it if it wasn't visible on receipt that's not my business.I understand people go through things and have problems but she needs to learn to separate her problems when working and serving people. read more

Food was pretty good. They gave us a free plate of onion rings (or pickle spears if you choose that!) because we checked in on Yelp. The guy taking our order sounded perplexed when I showed him the coupon but he showed it to the manager and the manager said "of course we'll honor it!" They were great and the sauce that came with it was a really yummy bbq ranch. I got the chicken and waffles with tenders and they give them to you on separate plates. The waffle wasn't super crispy, but I like them that was. It sort of felt like it was reheated from frozen. They did give a lot of chicken with it, which I liked. Most places with chicken and waffles will charge you $20 for a waffle and three pieces of chicken but here they give you a ton and it's still a reasonable price. I came here for dinner with a business associate, we had decided earlier in the day this was a good option to grab some wings and beers especially since it was directly across the highway from the hotel we were staying at and Houston is searing this time of year.There's lots of free parking and being it was a weeknight we had no trouble being seated as soon as we walked through the door a little after 6:00 PM. Our server met us at the table immediately after being seated and went over the specials - specifically $1 (tenders) and $5 (34 oz drafts). I wish I could remember our server's name she was exceptional the whole night very attentive and accommodating. We both order wings traditional and boneless with the mango habanero sauce it was delicious and the wings were prepared perfectly, I assumed they would of been a little hotter but the taste was still amazing pairing it with a ice cold 34 oz Dos Equis was a match made in heaven - so we did a few of them after the wings had long been cleared from the table. The restaurant never got more than a quarter filled so it was relatively quite for conversation and there was absolutely no problem hearing the games on the big screens. I'm not a big Houston sport's fan but it's seemed like most of the other customers were locals and they definitely were enjoying themselves so it was a fun atmosphere. As for beers, the have your typical domestics and locals. Domestics have deals sometimes so I usually do that in the big mugs. Go big or go home right?
