Self proclaimed wing connoisseur here, so I am extremely picky when it comes to those little morsels of chickeny goodness! I have my usual go to spots in town, but on this particular day, I had some fam in town and we wanted to get something local. In Pearland, as far as wings go, we have two big chain spots that aren't my favorite so we decided to check out Big City Wings. They do have multiple locations are town so they must be doing something right. This location is in a shopping strip so parking isn't usually too crazy. The restaurant is large and has lots of seating and a small patio out front as well. Avery was our server and we got excellent service. What I really like about this place is they have pretty great daily specials, especially if you come on a Tuesday or Thursday. Tuesday is buy one get one on bone in wings, and Thursdays is 2 for 1 on boneless wings. I have come on both days and it's a great deal and a good way to feed alot of people. I think most would agree that bone in is the move when it comes to wings. It just packs more flavor. Don't get me wrong, the boneless is good too, but it's basically just a glorified chicken nugget tossed in sauce. The bone in wings here are a decent size and they cook them like I like it, crispy on the outside while maintaining juiciness on the inside. Both the dry and wet rubs were well coated as well. So far, I've tried the spicy ranch, garlic parm, lemon pepper and mango habanero. I'm more of a dry rub guy and really enjoyed the spicy ranch. They have quite a few other flavors to choose from as well. We also tried the fried mac and cheese. It was good, but I've had better. I've also tried the tator tots and waffle fries which were solid, but nothing to write home about. Both trips we ordered for a small army since it was buy one get one so I have never made it to dessert. Overall, it's not my absolute favorite wing spots, but it is a nice option to have when I don't feel like driving to my favorite spots. I'll come back. read more

Came here for dinner before heading into work on nights. The restaurant was pretty empty at 5pm. The restaurant seemed kinda dark and at first had a hard time reading the menu until my eyes adjusted to the light. The server was friendly, but didn't do a good job of fielding the questions my co-worker and I had about sauce flavors. Once we placed our order he informed us that it would be 20-25 minutes to have our wings out. No harm, no foul because we're good on time. My co-worker gets his wings and he was under the impression they were supposed to be dry, but they came out wet. My wings came out a few minutes after his and were correct, but seemed cool for them to be cooked fresh....My co-worker requested to have his wings remade with the correct flavor he wanted, which resulted in him being late to be work. The manager did come out and apologized about the issues. I left him there to make sure I made in on time and give our bosses a head's up. I'd be willing to possibly give it another shot, but I hope the next experience will be better. read more

A few of the work family stopped by for happy bcz BB's wait was super long. I'm glad we decided to walk across the street to try out Big City Wings. $5 Margaritas, yummy wings, awesome waffle fries, and let's not forget the welcoming and friendly service from the time we walked thru the door until the time we left. I know our table seemed a bit all over the place and indecisive, but our waitress, Kat, continued to provide great service and was so accommodating to each specific need, question, and request. To top it off, her managers came by to check on us numerous times, and there was fun and laughter from everyone. Good location out in Pearland. It's never overly crowded and there's a ton of seating. Like all Big City Wings there are TV's everywhere so you won't miss any games. Beer is as cold as it gets and comes in a huge mug- just like I like it. They have crawfish here but it's really mediocre at best. The wings are definitely good and the new al pastor quesadilla is a great appetizer. So far the best thing I've had are the burgers though. The hickory burger is really good, I add blue cheese crumbles and it's perfect. My daughter is obsessed with the breakfast burger with the egg on top. We've just recently moved to the area and my husband suggested we check this place out because they have yummy wings. I was excited; who doesn't love wings?!!! My mouth began to water and I was insanely excited with high hopes. We ordered the lemon pepper and the mango habanero wings. They arrived, my eyes widened with anticipation, I picked up that well dressed mango habanero wing and took a bite...... Disappoint, despair, and displeased. The wing was...definitely NOT mango or habanero....I told our wonderful server I think these are the wrong wings...she said no they weren't, that's how they taste. At this point I'm utterly mind-blown...tears began to cascade down my cheeks. I felt let down and bamboozled. What in gods name was this?!!!!! Am I being punked? Sadly, I wasn't. Instead of sweet mango and the distinct flavor of habanero, I got tomato, buffalo, and heat. It was like the chef used buffalo sauce as a binder...despicable, a disgrace...how could they commit such an atrocious crime. Apparently, many customers have complained and the chef seems to stand firm on this god-awful recipe. It's disheartening when your run of the mill chain restaurants such as pepperonis and another wing place I can't remember the name of could nail the flavor of mango and habanero and have crappy wings...but this place couldn't even come close to capturing mango habanero's essence. Those wings were on my mind for days, WEEKS....it was a traumatic experience for me...it's only now I can speak up and share my story so that you all don't make the same mistake I did. Usually, my family and I goes to Wingstop to satisfy our chicken wing cravings, but we wanted to mix it up a bit. I wish we didn't. We came here on a Thursday around 2:00 pm. There was only one other table of people, and the atmosphere of the place seemed calm. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive, and the service was good! Food We Ordered: 20 Boneless Chicken Wings (Each flavor had 4-5 pieces, 4 flavors) 10 Bone In Chicken Wings (5 of each flavor, 2 flavors) Honey Citrus - With the boneless chicken wings, this flavor tastes like the orange chicken from Panda Express. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything special. I liked the little kick it had. Spicy BBQ - Personally, I'm not the greatest fan of BBQ sauce, but we ordered this at the recommendation of a friend. It wasn't bad! I feel like the sauce could've been spicier, but it tasted decent. With the boneless chicken wings, it reminded me of movie theatre food. Garlic Parmesan - This sauce was very wet and I wasn't expecting for it to be like this. We ordered this flavor with the bone in and boneless wings and didn't like it both times. Overall, I was expecting something normal, and the sauce just tasted weird. Spicy Ranch Lemon Pepper - To be honest, this flavor tasted like honey mustard. I can't explain it, it was slightly unpleasant. Hot Lemon Pepper - This was the worst flavor we ordered. We got this flavor on five bone in chicken wings, and I wish we never got it at all. Hot sauce was the only flavor I could taste, but it wasn't spicy at all. We wanted to try something new and this place has so many options so we said why not! It was good. I was annoyed though because I asked for no tomatoes & they still brought it and if you're like me and dislike tomatoes it can ruin everything due to the juice setting into the rest of the bun/food etc. My waitress also noticed and saw me taking it off and didn't offer to have them make me another one. Most places I go usually they offer that right away but she did not. Also the hottest hot sauce wasn't hot so if you're looking for a real kick, to me that wasn't as spicy as it was advertised. Everything else was fine. Our fried Oreos were great. Big sized jalapeño poppers & my guest enjoyed their burger. I'm debating whether or not I'll give it another chance in the future. When you walk into the bar look up at the AC vents. They are corroded from all the water that dips out of them. So if you are sitting in the bar avoid sitting under a vent you will get dripped on. This also presents a health hazard if your food or drink gets splashed and you do not realize it. The good: large menu, good happy hour deals. Friendly service. The bad: Flat beer, getting dripped on by an AC vent, 2 different dirty beer glasses. If they clean the place up a bit I think they would be a go to spot for Happy Hour. read more

The servers are wonderful. They have their regulars that they cater to, so I don't really think anything negative..,I just learned to request my check when I order my last drink . How have I not heard more about this place?!?! I'll be a regular! Great service, amazing wings and a home town vibe! I was in the area around 5pm on a week day and decided to check this place out. Upon entering I noticed a well maintained, covered patio with large board style games which isn't something I'm used to seeing for a restaurant within a shopping center. It wasn't over crowded when I entered but I headed over to the bar to grab a stool after getting a smile and a nod from the hostess on the phone. I was immediately greeted by bartender Raven which introduced herself and asked my name. She welcomed me in and asked what I was drinking. They have quite a few signature cocktails that I plan on checking out upon a return visit. I ordered a jack and coke but did notice they had several specials with Long Island tea and a few others and overheard Raven tell another guest the specials were $3 long islands. I ordered fried pickle spears to snack on while reading over work emails and not being in a hurry. There was a special on wings as well. Apparently Tuesday is "2 for 1 Tuesday"! I ordered 10 boneless wings and got 10 free. I selected two different flavors - honey barbecue and plain (to bring home). I also asked for a large order of waffle fries to bring home. That was a perfect portion for my teenagers to split! The flavor was perfect! I look forward to trying some of the other flavors on a return visit or to-go order and will probably bring the kids with me to play the patio games. I like the layout of this place! It's broken up into 4 divided rooms but still feels open and connected. There are large TVs located throughout for sports viewing.
