Fish City Grill in Pearland was a solid stop overall! I started with the watermelon margarita and it was crisp, refreshing, and definitely hit the spot. Next up were the chargrilled oysters they were tasty with good flavor, although I personally like mine a little more charred. They didn't come with bread, so I had to improvise with crackers and of course I had to add my hot sauce! I also ordered a side of fries and honestly they were one of the highlights for me super crispy, well seasoned, and fresh! Overall, I'd give it a 3/5 stars . I love this place. It is a great neighborhood hang. I'm updating my review because the restaurant has a new feature. They now offer a daily special that recurs weekly (Monday-Friday) and not normally available on their regular menu. For example, every Monday the special is chicken fried catfish, Tuesday is Taco Tuesday, etc. (chalkboard menu pic attached). So far, I've had Thursday's seafood pasta special and Friday's flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp (pics attached). Both were excellent. Side car - 10/10, perfectly balanced. It is not too sweet and enough liquor in it to let me know not to play around. 2. Burger - 5/10. This establishment prioritizes aesthetic over product taste and it shows. If there was not salt and pepper on the table, I would not have had any flavor at all. The prices of this food truly cannot be justified with the portion sizes nor the flavor and I cannot stress enough in no world should Mac and cheese drip when picked up nor should fish taste like the surface of a grill more than the seasoning. This was my first time visiting a Fish City Grill in Houston. We were seated quickly and the specials were explained but we had many issues throughout our stay. Our waiter tried hard and I don't think they were his fault. My first cocktail was wrong. My food came our way before my friend's and when hai came out it was the completely wrong dish. Like one of the specials that he did not order. They did give him a free soup to make up for it so that was nice. And the manager did apologize. Then he never got his mocktail. We had to ask for it and they did comp it. They gave us 20% coupons for our next visit and were apologetic so I appreciated that. They handled the mistakes well, just wish there weren't so many mistakes. My scallops and mashed potatoes were pretty good. The sauce wasn't my favorite. And I wish the spinach was on the side. Ok I went in, and the hostess asked if I wanted to sit outside so I said yes. She pointed me to a table where it was already set up. I sat outside two service people walked right past me and did not ask if I wanted anything then a third walked past another one you look at and turned the other way. Finally, someone approached, and I took the opportunity to let him know what my initial experience was. He quickly apologized and the experience promptly changed to be a very good one. There were 4 of us that visited after a round of golf and the food and service was excellent. We sat outside and was able to enjoy the food as well as the scenery. This is a local staple in Pearland Towne Center in Pearland, Tx. Located on a corner and quite unassuming. This place is a pub type bar mixed with sports bar and casual dining. Truly a "come as you are" kinda place. Order off the menu OR you can make a suggestion and the cooks will try to make it whenever possible. Some items came off of the menu in recent yrs but they will still accommodate your request if the ingredients are available in their inventory. This place is super cool because you receive coupons for free food, discounts and happy hour specials quite often when you add your info to their mailing list. The regulars tend to go and sit for hrs at the bar chatting it up. If shopping and need a quick place for a bite to eat and take a load off- this is your spot. Fish City Grill does not disappoint. The food comes out hot and fresh. The drinks are ice cold and refreshing and the prices are reasonably affordable. All around goodness. The Management staff is caring and will ask how your meal is. I started with their charbroiled oysters which was $16.99. I'm a oyster lover and the oysters were not hitting too much lemon zest. My coworker, ordered the fried pickles. The fried picked could had been fried a little crisper. For my entree, I had the stuffed crab and shrimp founder. Which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I sub my broccoli for spinach. I typically avoid malls and shopping centers like the plague because I'm not one to frequent high traffic areas, but my BF wanted to take me out one evening and after we debated what would like to eat and was in close proximity to us, he suggested Fish City Grill (FCG). We also wanted to watch the NBA playoffs while we dined, so this was a perfect situation. We decided to dine at 8 after the game had started. Finding parking close by was probably the most time-consuming of our dining experience because there are no parking spaces close by the shops or suites you want to visit. We just settled for parking in the lot and walked to FCG. A good 5 minute wall or stroll, and we were there. There are some tables out front if you just desire to eat outside, but it wasn't very spacious, and I just feel people would be all on your plate as they passed by. Definitely not an option for me buy luckily, it wasn't a busy Friday evening and we were suited right away at a table (we had the option of a booth, but not for a date in my opinion.) We had a very attentive server named Brandon, who answered our questions about the menu, checked on us, and had our order out likely split. Even when I desired to return my coleslaw which was not appetizing to me because of the celery in it (yeah weird), my replacement side came out very quickly, allowing me to enjoy with the rest of my meal. I did enjoy the spinach, which was nice and green and not seasoned to death. The hushpuppes were crisp and light along with the shrimp, which were plentiful and meaty. Catfish was blackened just right. In fact, I saved most of it to eat with grits the next morning, and it was delicious the next day, so you really are cooking some good food when that happens. Once more, the cup of gumbo that I had as an appetizer was very rich with flavor. The roux was the perfect color to imitate the richness of the bowl. I should have ordered a bowl of gumbo instead of a cup like my bf. I know next time. Lastly, the drinks were potent with liquor and reasonablt priced. Only needed one to be satisfied. This place makes me stick my head out like a turtle and come on another occasion if the opportunity arises, but I will be sure to come on a day when I know it will not be busy at the mall because i just can't deal with crowds, but a satisfied stomach sometimes has to make such sacrifices! read more

!Hidden gem alert! I was so pumped to stumble upon this place on a friday evening. A friend and I came here for dinner and I had minimal expectations but a great overall experience. They were pretty busy, march madness games were going on so the bar and restaurant was packed with viewers. We were seated relatively fast (about 8 minutes) after being told there was a 30-45 minute wait. For starters, we ordered the charbroiled oysters. Fire, fresh, well seasoned perfect texture. The smokin hot shrimp? definitely not smoking hot but so flavorful. (if you are into spice do not order these you will be disappointed) For my entree I ordered the honey chipotle tacos. Omg, i don't know what it was that made these so perfect but I have no complaints about any of it. The rice and beans were so good, not too seasoned and perfectly portioned.
