My reviews are full of waffle, and so is Waffle House. Match made in heaven, am I right. Waffle House is usually really good four star food unless you get food poisoning, which I've never gotten from this location, but several others - in which case it can be one or two or three, and I usually downgrade just because it's a massive chain. We had a good meal at Waffle House Pearland with very interesting service to say the least. It was way out of our way and there were a few issues with it, and it wasn't our favorite location that we've eaten at, but it was also pretty good. The main reason that we drove so far to go to Waffle House is because the one that we actually wanted to eat at said they were closed (College Ave Pasadena), even though Waffle House never closes, and then the one down the road from there also said they were closed - bear in mind in both cases this is having driven all the way there since they don't answer phones ever - and we found this particularly problematic and annoying, but life goes on. I would say the reason that it was problematic is that they were closing just because they got busy on a Saturday night, and I didn't think this was part of the company policy but in Houston it definitely is. This one way out in the middle of Pearland couldn't be any further from a Highway, not in Houston terms, if it tried - but despite the distance from the highway we were very happy to find a meal after a lot of driving, and we were very delighted that they were willing to serve us when others were not, although service was comically strange and very memorable to be very kind about it - and it definitely deserves its four star rating for these factors, even though the food itself wasn't as good as some other 4-star Waffle Houses. read more

The service was exceptional; the staff greeted everyone with a smile and kept the energy upbeat the entire time. My coffee cup never went empty! Come to this Waffle House if you want to waste your time and starve to death. This has been the worst experience by far, we came early because we want a spot for the booth. Came in early, and there was a huge line. People started leaving due to how long it took to even get a booth and I just suspected that they were inpatient and came early just like us. We finally get a booth and we get assigned with this hostess named Ava. She was the absolute worst, is she new here or did she just decide to come to work just to piss people off? We waited 15 minutes to get our drinks. When we were eating she only check in once for the entire hour, no drink refills either. It felt like an eternity being there because she wasn't attending us or being attentive. Now I realized why people left because she took so long to the point where people walked out. When she had to do cashier she took so long that a line also built up too. She can't even multitask because she has to stay in a corner re-reading orders instead of tending to her tables. If you ever see Ava definitely run out and never come back, she completely wasted my time when I could've ate and paid in 30 minutes instead I almost stayed there for 2 hours. This place is completely unsafe to eat at after seeing the way they treat food/personal care/desire. All of these are missing, I know it's not the greatest job in the world but you should at least keep it cleaner than that. And even after saying something about the cleanliness, I was told "we will get to if eventually" needless to say I didn't eat there on this evening. I should have not come to this location. Dirty is an understatement. Not a single customer when I pulled up. Walked in to find just about every table dirty and ALL 4 EMPLOYEES not doing anything but on their phones or arguing with each other. I've been in the food industry for 9 years and now am in restaurant management, if I ran this location and walked into this I'd fire all of them on the spot. How this location is still open is beyond me. DO NOT GO HERE! TRUST ME A FURTHER DRIVE TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION WILL BE WORTH IT! I feel bad for the cook who was the only one doing anything. The best waffle house ever! I ordered from Alex and it was a pretty large pick up order and it was smooth. My niece went to pick it up and commented how nice they were! 4 star because the way they put the sausages on all 8 of our cheese melts, and then sliced in half.... one half had all the meat and the other had nothing. read more

We decided to have breakfast here right at "peak" and watched the staff lead by the manager Nancy work like a well oiled machine. Each person knew their role and what needed to be done to take care of the customers. They had to go orders and a full restaurant plus people waiting for seats. Liz was our server and she hustled the entire time we were there. We sat at the breakfast bar and could hear the conversations with the staff. Everyone was positive and never said a negative word. We made sure to tip Liz well (servers make $2.13 an hour people) and to tell the staff and Nancy how awesome they were. We will be back!!! read more

We go to this location on a regular basis and love the service and food. Today was pretty bad. Medium busy at around 11 am on a Sunday. Floor was pretty horrible , no one was sweeping, drink orders were not taken. Gave us plastic utensils because dishwasher boy was "backed up". Arguing almost the kitchen crew was really causing the customer service to be inadequate. The regular manager was not there, maybe that was the difference. Typical waffle house on a Saturday morning - very hectic with people line up. But the restaurant was very clean and the staff was great. We actually didn't have a long wait to get seated. What can I say, it's a Waffle House. Standard, decent menu for a waffle house and fantastic waffles. As with any waffle house, they're quick and efficient (or at least definitely will be once the training for the new folks was over, there was a lot of polite "bear with us, we're training", which was to be expected for somewhere that opened a week ago). It's nice to have somewhere along 518 right here that's open 24/7 for some decent food no matter what shift you're on or when you're getting / leaving from home, that had been missing from the immediate area. Also, again as with any waffle house, its nice seeing that all the food is made fresh right there in front of you. The only detractor here is the entrance / parking here could be better. Well, parking's not a problem, scratch that (or well, as long as you don't park right next to the very high curb in a lower car, or you will literally scratch that.), the problem is the entrance is not directly in front of the waffle house, rather it's down between it and an NTB next to it, and it can be easy to pass the entrance by accident. read more

We typically go to iHop but I thought we should try the waffle crew. Was hesitant because no cars were parked outside, no patrons inside barely could see the staff who were seated in a corner booth. They greeted us as soon as we entered and I looked at my daughter and said should we stay or go (umm, the staff seemed young and I was concerned about their ability) kids said stay so we did. Too our surprise Hot, cooked to order tasty food! Friendly attentive staff! Clean restaurant unlike many of the ihops around town. We will definitely give them a try again soon. read more

I wanted this to be better. It's in walking distance to my house, but I wasn't impressed. It was very early (6:00 a.m.,) and there were only a few customers. I ordered a basic breakfast - eggs, crispy bacon, and hash browns. We didn't see the waitress much, but she, the other waitress, and some regular customers were yucking it up by the cash register. I had to wait about 10 minutes to tell her my bacon wasn't crispy. It came out again and was burned of course. That was my fault. I should have known. Anyway, the hash browns were pretty greasy, but the eggs were okay. It was not horrible, and the waitress was extremely young and was pleasant enough, just not very efficient. I stop every morning and it is usually good and prompt. However I stopped this morning and my eggs were scorched and the order was not right. It was taken and given correctly but not cooked to order. I was sitting there looking at the griddle and it was nasty. Looked like a war zone. The waitress said they had been slow. I will say that this is the first time I have seen this cook and all of the others do a great job of cooking and the cooking area doesn't look that way. Ordered the allstar, they forgot my waffle. The place was dirty. The floors were messy, didn't see anyone sweeping the floors event tho they couldn't walk without stepping on hash brown on the floors. There was an empty box of hash brown on the floor and everyone walked past it. Newlyn kicked it to the side at one point. Then, the bread slicer fell on that dirty floor, newlyn picked it up and put it back on the cutting table without cleaning it. It was disgusting. The food is not that bad but their kitchen manners makes me not wanna go there anymore. I just wish the people be more conscious about health and food handling. We don't wanna get sick. read more

Well I just finished breakfast here and I have to say the place is super super loud! I made the mistake of sitting at the bar and apparently that's where they do all of the dishes. Potts, pans, plates everything banging and clanging all over the place. It was so loud it was annoying and my husband couldn't even hear anything I was saying. I had to keep repeating myself. Our waitress seem to get our order wrong because she couldn't hear it either. There wasabout 13 people that I counted that were working at the time. It is the Waffle House so we have the usual breakfast. Which I of course enjoy so I'm giving the stars for that.
