Big Creek BBQ Food Truck is located in an empty gravel lot right off the boulevard. The truck itself sits on a concrete pad, so I'm thinking they either own or lease the lot. Anyway, I was in town for a wedding the next day and decided to grab a late lunch here after our drive from NYC. Got the dozen chicken wing special, the half rack of ribs, Mom's Cole Slaw and asked for a sample of all their sauces on the side. Wings were good. My other half though their hot sauce was rather mild. The half rack of ribs were good also. The meat fell right off the bone. I liked them with the BBQ Apple Sauce. Mom's Cole Slaw was good too. No complaints other than the $40.00 price tag (which included a water and a root beer).

Absolute the best BBQ I have had in a long time! We saw this food truck on the side of the road with smokers going- best advertising ever! We both had the Monday special- pulled pork sandwich with 1 side and drink. $9 I had the slaw and he had the beans. The sandwich was huge and had a nice semi sweet and spicy sauce on it. Huge amount of meat. The slaw was fresh and delish. Bean were smoky sweet. There are picnic tables but they were wet as it was raining so we ate standing up. I wish there was a place this good to get BBQ near me.

Three and a half stars. Ribs are good, rub had some nice flavors that came through. Ribs were fall off the bone style with a nice juice bite. I appreciated that they weren't sauce slathered and you could add your own sauce. Pulled brisket tasted as if it had been steaming for a while after it was pulled off the pit. Likely kept in a covered warming pan. Both chicken and brisket were under-seasoned and bland as a result. Great sauces and a a variety of them. Sides were all good. Service was friendly but have to take a star off for not one employee wearing a mask. I get it. It's hot in there next to the pit - but I wear one at work all day and other restaurants do as well. Some older folks in line that could get really sick. We can all protect each other - no excuses right now.

We hesitated because of the carwash where the food truck is parked until a local told us it was a must try. So glad we went back. Best bbq on our trip to white water by far. Excellent brisket and RIBS with mouthwatering whiskey heat sauce. If I'd have gone earlier in the trip, I would have come back a couple of more times. Portions were generous and the people are so sweet. I loved the low key atmosphere.

We drove 45 minutes to visit Big Creek and it was well worth it!!! We arrived shortly after opening and already had several people waiting on line ahead of us. The ribs were fall off the bone and my husband loved the half pulled chicken and pork sandwich. We both agreed this easily will become a "must visit" spot for us when visiting the Poconos.

Our server was Tiffanie and she was just the best, full of conversation and knowledge about the place. We had the perfect table along the river, lights were strung up at the tables for when the sun went down. If you dont get to sit along the river, you can sit under the beautiful huge pavillion they have. It's all wood and when I say it's gorgeous, I mean it! There is a bar there also. We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed the entertainment and had a few more drinks after dinner. We had the brisket blazing fries for an appetizer and then I had the chicken parm as my entree, Casey had the Piggy Pile-up sandwich. Everything was very good! They also have a game room with a pool table, juke box and games of chance. You could easily spend a few hours here. Three of us ordered Thai chicken and my wife ordered the Bangkok bowl. The ingredients were fresh and carefully selected, as the dish had a slightly sweet curry sauce on it. The chicken thigh was on top of a bed of short grain brown rice appropietly cooked for the dish. Veggies such as broccoli and eggplant were around the edges. The Bangkok bowl was slightly different as the samosas had a fair amount of heat to them. The waiter recommended mixing them with the rice and fried chickpeas, which worked well. For dessert, the rose and cardamom coffee glee had little rose flavor. I asked and they said it was infused as well as the garnish on top, but I failed to taste it. Ditto for the chocolate orange ganache, in which I could not taste the orange flavor. No points lost, the deserts were still better than average, not too sweet. Service was very good, the waiter loved to inform us of what to expect. Also, it was a good place for four of us to sit at a table and enjoy a conversation.

The only downside is the wait times, very long to get sat, even for folks who did have reservations, and then a very long wait for the food, for getting the bill, etc. likely just a bit understaffed but something to be mindful of if you're in a rush. It was a bit pricier than I would have expected but not horrible. Overall a very nice spot for a date night.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal.
