The beef is more the star in the style. As for the famously imported roll, they can save the cross-country expense as it's tasteless and wrinkly. There are many better rolls available from local commercial bakeries. A few more minor annoyances. Ketchup is only available in those messy little packets, and there are no salt and pepper shakers, just those tiny packets. And finally, what's with the 3% "Operations Fee"? A business's finances are run through a P&L, which always contains operating expenses. Given their prices and I'm sure good profit margin, any operations expenses should be built into the P&L model, not hoisted on the customer beyond the item prices. Overall, a decent sandwich and fries from a frozen bag, but for $20+ not a good value.

Stopped by with a group of 5 and honestly, this place is a hidden gem. Service was great from the second we walked in -- friendly greeting, and they didn't rush us at all. They actually told us to take our time with the menu if we needed it, which was a nice touch. The inside has this cozy mom-and-pop feel -- sports decor, tons of family photos on the walls. You can tell this place has been a labor of love for a while. Food-wise, we tried a good mix. The cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful. Fries were thick, crispy, and seasoned well. The chili cheese fries were loaded but not overly salty like some spots tend to do. But the cheesesteaks are the real reason to come here. Warm, soft hoagie rolls (regular or large size), thinly sliced meat with good flavor, and the cheese ratio was perfect. I added peppers to mine and it added this nice vinegary kick. Everything was hot and clearly fresh out of the kitchen. If cheesesteaks aren't your thing, they've also got burgers and deli sandwiches. Definitely coming back -- probably gonna try a deli sandwich to-go next time. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

I really, really like this place! The thing that keeps me coming back is the generously-filled sandwiches + REASONABLE prices. There's another sandwich shop in town that I've found sells disappointingly skimpy, underfilled subs that are not really worth their price, IMO. Not only do you get more for your money at Big Daddy's, but the food/sandwich fillings here also seems to be noticeably FRESHER than that of other area shops. I also like the fact that they don't only sell excellent Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches (probably even better than those the now-gone Philly on the Run used to sell) but this place also has a very good selection of other kinds of sandwiches. Finally, how convenient to have a great sub shop located just steps away from a full car wash service! There's also a Middle Eastern grocery next door where lots of specialty foods, such as Mediterranean breads, candies and other products, can be found. read more

I introduced to this amazing place by a friend and I can not thank him enough for suggesting a great place like that. I had a date and I took her to BDFECCS and they served us like they knew I am trying to impress my date cuz I was really into here and this place just did the magic with their great service and food quality The guy at the counter (I think the owner, or the cook) was super friendly! He was ready to explain everything, or answer any questions, and had a great attitude. I love, love, LOVE the original Philly cheesesteak sandwich from Big Daddy's. My family is originally from South Philly and believe me I've tried a lot of so-called Philly cheesesteak sandwiches at a variety of places and none of them have even come close to being authentic until I stumbled upon Big Daddy's. Finally an authentic cheesesteak sandwich! Even my mom who still has her Philly accent after living 50 years in SoCal said the sandwich reminded her of home. We had a few number 1's and the meat was very tinder and not fatty, the bun is perfect for the meat and doesn't get soppy and is not to hard.
