I called Duane in morning and he was able to make it out in the afternoon to check my garage door opener, it wasn't working, he went thru some different tests and determined that it was bad, I let him know that I wanted to cut costs and he suggested I go to Home Depot and pick one up and he would install it. Big D was servicing my neighbor's garage door when I saw his truck in their driveway. My torsion spring broke the same morning and I was home from work early to call someone out. I walked up to Big D and explained my problem and Duane agreed to stop by (two doors down) to take a look if he had compatible springs on hand. About 15 minutes later he came through as promised and about 45 minutes later he was done replacing both springs. He checked the balance and everything was perfect the first time. He even lubed up the rollers and drums, because you know, Big D always has lube and is ready to go. I'm super satisfied with his work and he is very friendly and quick. He explained he was able to fit me in because he schedules appointments with 1 hour gaps to account for traffic. Big D is the man! I called on Sunday and he showed up an hour later. And it was during the Niner game against the Rams. Niners won in OT btw to clinch their spot in the playoffs. Anyway, I say this because he came through even when there was a critical game on the line. My garage door came off the railing he did some adjustments and popped it back in place. He told me that whoever installed it prior to me living there made it too wide. And that's why it keeps jerking. He gave me a reasonable price and I'm so grateful because I got a quote from another company and they quoted me triple that! I appreciate him and his professionalism! Don't go with anyone else! Working with Duane, the owner at Big D's, was a great experience. Garage door spring broke on Sunday afternoon. Sent out some Yelp/Home Advisor bid requests immediately. Duane responded within an hour. Quoted his price (which seemed very reasonable, considering the cost of just the springs from Home Depot) and the exact services/parts included. Scheduled the service for 8:00 the next morning! Duane arrived 10 minutes early, got right to work, finished the job in about 45 minutes. The door is perfectly balanced, works better than ever and Duane said is good to go for many more years. Best part - the door was back working less than 18 hours after breaking. We contacted Duane and he showed up at our house within two days. We have large garage door for 2 cars and a smaller garage door for one car. He came over, took a look at both, gave them each a tune up and did repair work on the larger one. Saturday evening we discovered our garage door had cone off the track and the cable on one side had cone off the spindle and wrapped around the rod above the door preventing it from rolling down. Called Duane who did not hesitate to come over to fix it so we didnt have to spend the night with everything in our garage unsecure.
