They helped move my (senior) parents move from NJ to VA Beach (about a month or two ago, 2016), who were quite nervous about every "i" and "t" being accounted for. My parents felt comfortable with the owner and the other people who they interacted with. My parents make a few modifications to what they wanted moved a few times, and Big G Movers were able to fairly easily accommodate their needs with no headaches. On moving day, everyone ("everyone") arrived on time. My parents were nervous wrecks, but the movers weren't pushy and even though they loaded the boxes on the truck at their normal pace, my parents didn't feel like they were being ignored. It's about a 6-7 hour drive door-to-door, and we had 2 stops for the Virginia drop off, so it was a long day/night of moving. There were no issues at all. The movers didn't complain about the late night (it rand almost to midnight after unloading things at two homes), or at least if they were tired and upset, they didn't show it or take it out on my parents or their stuff :) In the end, everything was moved properly (including a small-ish, but full size piano) with no damage. We haven't opened all boxes yet, but we've opened boxes with breakables, and so so far, nothing's wrong. No damages, scratches, nothing missing, etc. Also, for this being a one day thing, two stops, etc. etc., the price was quite reasonable. This was a much better experience than working with the big coast-to-coast names that I've used before, where you don't see your stuff for a week because 10 families' stuff are on the truck together. This is the mover you want! Excellent, professional, prompt and caring service. Joe and his team were the best. I was in NJ from August 7th to the 14th to move my Mom from her one bedroom apartment to assisted living. We had to move a lot of her things to a storage unit. I contacted the company along with several other companies for quotes. Traci got back to me immediately and gave me Gary's name and number. Through text and then later phone calls I explained my dilemma and the need to have the move completed by the time I left NJ on the 14th. He was very professional and arranged for Joe and his team to move the apartment contents to a 10' by 15' storage unit on August 13th in the am. It was a very hot, humid and rainy day. Joe and his crew worked feverishly to complete the move in the time allotted to stay true to the quote. Because of circumstances beyond their control we were charged an extra 1 1/2 hours.(which was very fair) My Mom was on the 11th floor of the complex and the crew had to negotiate a separate relatively small elevator and carry everything through the basement service entrance to their truck. They even helped with the packing and took great care with my Mom's things. Joe did an excellent job, too, packing the storage unit efficiently. It was a puzzlement and he was able to accommodate everything on the truck with a bit of room to spare. They all worked like "dogs"...I can't thank them enough. Excellent job. Great team. HIRE HIRE HIRE. The movers I had originally hired didn't show up on the day of the move, and I received no communication from them until I was frantically following up. Literally last minute, 2 hours before I HAD to move out of my apartment, I reached out to Gary from Big G. Within 45 minutes, (on a Sunday!!), he had a team booked and ready to take up the job. This team were thorough professionals. Great guys. Quick. Efficient. Packed my stuff carefully. Had an eye on the clock. Anticipated total time beforehand and were right on the dot. As good as it gets doesn't begin to express how wonderful this company is. We where moving from NJ to NC this past June. From the beginning to the end it was one of the best experiences we have had with a business. Not only where they accommodating and professional but always respected our thoughts and wishes. This company helped us to achieve our dream and did it with as little stress as possible. Gary, Traci and all of the guys where there from beginning to end. I had the pleasure of having Big G Movers get me into my new (temporary) home. From the first phone call to set up the moving date and time until the final handshake before leaving, Gary and his crew were professional, skilled, reasonably priced, courteous and caring. The crew arrived on time and quickly loaded the truck so that my possessions and furniture could be delivered to two separate locations. They had packaging supplies and furniture coverings so that nothing was damaged. They were able to unload the majority of my things into a storage unit and pack it so expertly that I ended up having extra room in the unit. Something that really impressed me was how the crew really listened to my needs. At the end of unloading at the storage unit, the few boxes that I requested be placed so that I could access them were nearly by the door where I can reach them easily. The remaining furniture and boxes were taken to the an already furnished home. The crew was able to get the new bed frames, mattresses and boxes inside without disturbing or damaging anything already in the home. I highly recommend Big G Movers and I will definitely be using them again when our final moving destination is ready. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Big G Movers! I will be recommending them to anyone I know with a move coming up. After a rough move last year with another company, I had a ton of anxiety about finding movers for my recent move. We scheduled our move in two parts....one this spring and another final move Jan. 3, 2020. We booked Big G movers after having a less than stellar experience with another mover who did the first move. What was so great about Big G? With Big G, everything was included in one price...there were no surprises. They sent 6 guys, as we had some very heavy items. Steve, Shannon, Eddie, Max, Kevin, and Jahmaine were ALL efficient, polite and hard working. No slackers here! They worked quickly to wrap everything so that nothing was damaged. Because entryways were tight and some items were big, they took items apart, removed handrails and doors and then reassembled EVERYTHING perfectly...even my huge electronic tread mill, which Eddie tested with a quick jog to make sure it worked perfectly. When I couldn't make up my mind as to where a cabinet should go...first floor or third, they happily moved it around until I was happy with the placement. The Big G team is definitely focused on true customer service. And all the guys were exceedingly respectful. Overall, we were very happy with every part of the service we received from Big G. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could! The reviews and accreditation's that are on their website are LEGIT! No one better! I saw one of their trucks on the highway, and called them blindly, after checking out their website. Tracy was amazing, extremely responsive, quoted me a highly competitive price over the phone, and was able to squeeze me in on a very busy day. I called other movers and they wanted to charge me as much as $1000 more because it was a busy time of the year for them. Not Big G! Gary checked in with me yesterday to confirm, and let me know what time his guys would show up. The guys and the truck showed up exactly as promised. They worked very hard, fast, yet carefully. I had some large, difficult to move items, including a tractor and large grill, yet no problem for these pros! Kudos to Erin, Vonn and Key as they are 3 fabulous movers. Everything was handled with care, and delivered to my new home without a nick on anything. Great job guys! If you are looking to move, DO NOT consider any other movers except for Big G. I was in a bind. My mother was in the hospital and was released to a sub acute medical facility. Events leading up to her hospitalization made me realize she had to be relocated to an assisted living facility. I had called a local mover and informed them of my situation being a previous customer I was really disappointed they couldn't help me. I had come across Big G Movers on yelp and they had excellent ratings. I reached out to the company and the owner replied and got in touch with me. I informed Gary I had a small move.... he informed me that when he got back to the office he would call me. Keeping his word Gary called, I informed him of my move situation and he suggested an hourly fee move would be the best situation for me. He booked the date and time. The movers called me about 20 mins prior to arrival...upon arrival I informed the movers it was a two stop move. I showed the movers what was at each drop off location. So in conclusion, they carefully wrapped all the furniture, carefully removed and place it where I wanted and then cleaned up the area. I'm very pleased we went with Big G Movers. I initially picked them because of their good reviews and easy website quote system. I worked with Tracy to get a quote based on my inventory of furniture items only (no boxes) and our move from a third floor walkup two bedroom apartment to a two story home. Tracy suggested a four person team with one truck for at least 5 hours to move furniture only, which seemed reasonable. I was able to check status and upload pictures on my account page. On the day of our move (today!) Steve, Max, Marco & Fulvio were prompt and efficient. They got all of our furniture out of the apartment and down two flights of stairs in about an hour, including disassembling and wrapping items as needed. They met us at the house about 13 miles down the road and loaded everything into the house exactly where I asked and even quicker than they had taken it out. They reassembled everything perfectly and the whole move was over and done with in less than 3 hours. They even successfully moved our particle board cat tree without any damage, despite letting me know that it might not make the trip. Very happy with the whole experience! read more

Easy easy easy 5 stars. Was my first time hiring movers and found Big G via Yelp, chose them because of good reviews. It was a great decision. Gary and his team were ultra efficient and extremely nice. They worked so quickly, they were like a well oiled machine. Furthermore, literally made ZERO nicks, cracks, on any walls..no damage to furniture. They packed and took a few loose items we had, including delicates and electronics. For big items they disassembled and assembled (bed, tv wall mount). Asked where everything needed to go and put it there are directed no questions asked. One item was too big to fit through a door, they screwed off the little thing sticking out of the door, got it through, and screwed the piece back in. A lot of people just leave stuff, but they did not. If none of this matters to you, then I would go for them because of pricing. Extremely reasonable pricing. I would not have found cheaper pricing with that level of efficiency, of this I am convinced after speaking with multiple people. I will recommend Big G movers to everyone that asks. I couldn't be happier with Big G Movers. From beginning to end, they were professional, courteous and responsive. Gary took time to explain the moving process to me in great detail. Two days before our scheduled move, we learned that we had to push the move out by two days. Within thirty minutes of my panicked call to Gary, he was able to confirm a new move date and did not change the fee even though the new move was now scheduled for a Sunday. On the day of the move itself, Steve and his incredibly nice crew arrived on time. They swiftly took care of our furniture and belongings, taking great care with everything. Just wanted to put my thoughts into words so other people can get an idea of what to expect when dealing with Big G Movers. Steve, Roy and Nick were right on time and quickly assured me that they would make my move effortless. I had worries since I have had bad experiences with prior movers, but I am sincerely glad to report that they listened to my concerns, and made me feel at ease right from the start and throughout the entire job. They wrapped and protected pieces of furniture to ensure no scratches or damage to my belongings. I had a lot of glass items, and some very costly pictures, yet they took the time to wrap it all safely so there was not an issue with any of it. I appreciate the time and effort greatly, along with their easy to get along with attitudes, they made me feel like my stuff was theirs....that's how careful they were for me. We have used Big G twice, once to move from Fords to Matawan, and just recently I had them load up a truck for us for our move to Maryland. In both situations, every single item was meticulously wrapped with blankets, tape and shrink wrap to ensure that not a single item (or wall!) was damaged during the removal or the move. Even the people who helped us unload the truck commented on how great a job was done with the wrapping and how it was loaded onto the truck. We were both a bit frazzled from the stress of packing and one of the first things the guy said to us when they showed up (I'm sure I looked like a jittery mess at that point) was "It's ok, you can relax, we got this." and he was absolutely right. They walked through the place, figured out a plan of attack on how to load up the truck, and with the exception of a few questions on how we wanted things, it was completely hands off for us. Moving is a stressful thing, but good movers will make it 10x easier. If we're ever returning to NJ, Big G will be the first guys I call. read more

I am so beyond happy with the service I received today! To start, they responded within 10 minutes and asked all the questions they needed to provide a very reasonable price. Of all the quotes I received, they were the most thorough and responsive, so I gladly booked them. They also followed up with me 2 days before the move to ensure my inventory of items didn't change. On moving day, they arrived 10 min earlier than scheduled (which was perfect), and immediately got to work. They were so careful with wrapping and moving all of my stuff. I was also very impressed by how courteous and friendly they both were! When I forgot to pack my hanging clothes, they were quick to get boxes and took care of everything. I didn't have to worry or babysit one bit. They even finished 30 min early and I paid exactly what was quoted. This is my second review for Big G Movers as they have exceeded my expectations. As if closing on a house as a first time buyer isn't stressful enough, I was constantly thrown different dates of official closing. I had a date set and the day before it was changed, but thankfully Traci made it so less stressful for me. Accommodating my every need as well has working some sort of miracle to fit me in for our new date! As for my move, Matt and his crew were great. They safely and efficiently packed up my townhome and got busy unpacking at my new home. I was asked where everything needed to be. My 2nd floor has a tight and narrow staircase and I have a big bedroom set, but the team worked their magic to fit all the pieces up into the bedroom! Everything got where they needed to be safely and all was confirmed during a final walkthrough. I truly cannot recommend Big G Movers enough. Big G Movers made the experience of moving easy. We had received quotes from other places in which the companies told us that they would need us to pay time and half for moving on a weekend, insisted we would need to pay for 6 hours, and warned that if they needed extra packing supplies the day of the move, rates would be increased. We called Big G Movers and Steve responded promptly. Upon visiting our house, Steve was so personable and made us feel so comfortable, giving us a fair, price that didn't include any of the above. We knew Big G Movers was the right decision. The day of the move, Steve and his guys, Eddie and Roy, worked carefully, but efficiently with wrapping our furniture and loading everything, barely stopping for even a minute on a 90 degree day. Our past experience with a different moving company was quite different, as we had movers sitting and working at a snail's pace.
