He did go out of his way to allow me to use his gas can to walk to the gas station a block away and also gave me a jump when my jump box died. Avoid avoid AVOID this place at all costs!!! My car was brought here and was fine before these ppl got it. As SOON as I pull out of their lot, there's a loud noise coming from my rear tires. When I say as soon as I pulled out I pulled over so I'm still directly across the street from their lot. I asked the driver Ken to come look and of course he starts saying he doesn't know how it could have happened. Yeah I bet you don't!! All I know is my car was running fine before you guys got it. So for 3 yes THREE days I had been in contact with a "manager" named "Shawn" (air quotes because every time I called and asked for "Shawn" I was told nobody by that name worked there..then he would get on the line and say "this is Shawn") weird. Anyways I had been in contact with him Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. I even emailed him a video of the noises as well. I told him I was taking it to my dad and then to a mechanic so they could try and tell what might be wrong from listening to it and driving it. For 3 days "Shawn" knew of this. He even asked me to have the mechanic call him directly!! Ok no problem. I called "Shawn" back and now all of a sudden he tells me they're not going to take responsibility for damaging my car!!! He said because I said I was taking it to my mechanic, then they won't take liability!! What?! I called him on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday each day I told him I was going to have someone look at it. On Wednesday he even asked to talk directly to the mechanic i was going to go to with my dad. "Shawn" wanted me to have THEIR mechanic look at it (who by the way is KEN who already test drove my car, heard the noise and told me that he USED to be a mechanic and he doesn't work on cars anymore and that he wasn't sure what was wrong. Hence the reason I wanted to take it to a mechanic with my father! Why would I want to take my car to be looked at by the same person who already looked at it and said he didn't know what was wrong and was more than likely the one who damaged it because he was the tow truck driver!!!! I mean come on now. Things happen. I never said it was done on purpose but my car was towed at like 1-3am so you're probably still half sleep and made a mistake. Own it! Fix it and apologize for it. What my father and i believe is that its an axle maybe 2. Not a huge cost to them with the OUTRAGEOUS prices and fees they charge ppl to get their cars back. The police were there when my car was towed so ill be requesting their body cam footage and im taking BBT to small claims court. Now, its gonna cost them more in court fees then it would had they just paid for the repairs!!! They are really shady here! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS... our beautiful unscathed car unfortunately had to get towed by "Kenny" the night shift driver. Our car was returned with a different L. front tire, and the R. Tire was dragged until the wiring showing substantial damage. From the front of the vehicles undercarriage all the way to the catalyst has been completely damaged!! My oil pan is now leaking.. I'm ashamed that this is a local business. Wow. The owner Keith told me to "Call my insurance company". This is NOT OK. I parked my car at Home Depot in the Westlake parking lot. The security called Big Guys tow company to tow my car. I later found out that this company towed my car at 2:30 am. To preface everything.... At 4 am i went to leave and my car was gone. I called 911 to see if its been towed and they told me no one reported it as towed. So at this point my car was being reported as stolen. I went to the police station to do my report for a stolen vehicle. At 7:36 DCPD called me and told me that they just received a call from Big Guys towing and. I was at their shop at 7:57 am when the guy at the office told me i would have to pay an extra $150 for an early pickup. I asked him when they open he said 8 am. I waited the 3 minutes and saved $150. I asked the worker why they didn't report the car until 7:36 am if they towed it at 2:30 am??? They blamed it on the tow truck driver who is "new." After learning their information they still decided to charge me full price and they refused to tell me what the boss or owners name was because he was scared he would get fired if he told me. These 2 guys are almost like gangsters. They never follow regulations. They do what they can to make you pay as much as they can. Very rude. They talk to you like they own your sweet ass. When you speak to them you know these people went to prison before. Even you gave up your car, they will come after you with a debt collector. But what my friend did is just ignore all letters sent from debt collectors. Then they will eventually leave you alone. Once your car is in their yard, you will have to pay through your nose to get it back. I did use their service to drag my old car out of a ditch once. I paid $75. Not bad. They tow staff at apt. complexes cars(maintenance staff) there working on more than 1 occasion, illegally. They harass staff at local shops who repeatedly ask them not to park in handicapped spots outside 711..as someone disabled trying to park in these spots I appreciate the staff who try to help ppl who live in this town with a disability use the shops & all too little disabled parking. Worst tow company I've ever saw!!!! I'm living 6 blocks away, and was unloading huge boxes out of my trunk just near my door on a fire lane. Closed the door of the car get in home to bring all boxes, 10 min. and my car was gone!!!!! Scammy business. Towed my car and didn't report it to the police (which is required by law). No one had records of my car and we thought it was stolen. Police recommended that we file a stolen vehicle report because it is "highly unusual and improbable" that a towing wouldn't contact them because every tow company knows to do this. They ended up reporting it two days later, and claimed they had faxed the a report. Police records department said they never received a fax. Now, the towing company charges by the day, so its pretty clear that they were just trying to hold on the to vehicle longer. I told them that not reporting the tow is illegal and that I didn't have to pay (and that the law states they owe me up to 3x the fees). They claimed I needed to pay for one day. read more

We needed a tow, but they talked us into just getting the battery charged (something we could have done ourselves for free, thank you very much) which of course died as soon as they were gone with our $50. Gots to love a place where employees are so drunk on a Saturday afternoon that they are incomprehensible over the phone. Lady who answered their dispatch that day was inebriated to the point of slurring every word. Now happy drunks I can take, I am patient with them and they are funny. She was a mean, nasty drunk. Hanging up on me, screaming obscenities to someone in the same room while talking to me, threatening not to release my vehicle until it racked up a huge fee. She knew that I was a hostage because I had valuables in the vehicle and exercised every little bit of whatever minuscule power over me this gave her. The only way these guys get business/stay in it is through contracts with city services.My car got towed after an accident with no consent from me. Not sure what they did to get in(location?kickbacks?), but this reminds me of Uber and taxi's. When you have your clients locked in (literally behind the gate), you feel in position of power. You can hang up on them, give them an incorrect address of where your shop is, say that you will only open the gate for a separate fee, even if the car is not picked up, etc. You can be shamelessly intoxicated, filthy and rude. Until the day someone figures out how to offer the same services based on merit. That's the day you are going to find yourself out of business. I hope this day comes soon for Big Guys towing.
