I've been coming here for years, i've never experienced such rudeness from a waitress and/or the host, we sat down and started ordering , then in the middle of us ordering the waitress makes a comment "lots of food huh" uh yes, we're 3 people. then i get my cup of egg drop soup and it starts to taste like dishwashing soap and i tell them and they're not understanding what i'm saying and i'm enunciating the word SOAP and the lady comes back with attitude saying how there's so many people there and they never said anything about the soup when all i wanted was a new bowl. and she gave me attitude for it and was arguing w me. it was just a bad experience with the service. read more

We didn't come in with high expectations for this Chinese Restaurant in Peoria. Not many pictures on Yelp and decent reviews so we figured, why not. Overall it was average. Everything tasted the way it should've but not of high quality (think fast food take out). The egg drop soup was bland and the egg roll was mostly vegetables. The only thing we almost finished was the fried rice on our combo plates. Don't drink the ice water unless you get a lemon or something because Arizona's finest was off today. read more

My daughter says this is the best Chinese restaurant in the whole neighborhood, I agree! Super tasty and great service.

I have judged the outside of this place since the longest, but today after work I found myself hungry as hell, and the Walmart fish filet wasn't cutting it today. I went in and was pleasantly surprised by the decor, anyhow, I placed my order based off a yelp photo...(shoutout to the chic who ordered the #7) and waited about 5-7 minutes for my to go order. Man! The food was good and steaming hot! Not like pinky up Asian cuisine good, but 1990s, Westside of Phoenix Asian food, good! The food had the right amount of greasiness to bean sprout ratio, and I didn't even mention portion size...I smoked and couldn't put a dent in this meal. These jokers gave me chicken lo mien, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, an egg roll and a cream cheese ragoon all under $9 So, although their exterior menu is green, they're food is Gggggreat! Everyone was nice and my food is still hot, so yeah read more

I wanted so bad to like this place. I used to work nearby and just never made it there. I admit that I judge Chinese food by NY/NJ standards, and I think the best and most authentic Chinese food is found on the coasts. We got a few dishes, the Szechuan chicken had the same sauce as the Kung Pao chicken, the soup was flavorless and the fried rice was just rice, some egg and soy sauce. The service was acceptable, so no points off there. I can compare this only to NJ mall food, like food court food. The price was the only thing worth a star, plus we did not get sick. So two stars. I do not need to go back. China Chili is worth the extra money. If you are in this neighborhood, there is also that place in Glendale in the strip mall. Name withheld, but food super good and a much better selection. read more

Typical Chinese fare. Service was good and servers were very pleasant. Huge portions on the lunch specials. Good value.

Why is it every time I try somewhere new that I order the totally wrong thing? Everything that everyone else ordered was amazing but the sesame chicken was terrible. Probably the worst sesame chicken I have ever eaten. read more

Service was fast and the food was tasty, but I ordered Kung Pao chicken which is usually spicy. All the veg was there, but it had zero heat! Crab puffs were delicious and so was the fried rice, kung pao was still tasty, so all around not a bad choice! read more

I love coming here. There food very good. Especially the bbq pork fried rice, sesame chicken and the house chicken is the best. It's a must try. read more

Food is good - lots of it - price is reasonable - do not go there for the ambiance !

House fried rice was the best I've had in AZ. Even my youngest child, who normally passes on fried rice ate it and wanted seconds. The beef chow fun was also good, even the second day. The one missing star was for the won ton soup that needed more won tons, stronger seasoning in broth, and some veggies as their competitors do. Everything else was so good, I'm sure it's an easy fix. read more

The only complaint I have is that they charge for drink refills if you eat here. My go to order is the dinner combo number 2. So much food and it is really good. Liked everything I have had from here but that combo is the best of the best IMO. Great food, great value. read more

Just ok. Veggies were fresh so a big plus. Sauce was heavy on the cornstarch. Egg roll was greasy. Location and interior lacking. Waiters bark (at each other). Off putting. read more

A little deceiving in its exterior presentation, but the place has been here for a while and that says something all by itself. This place never lets me down. The quality and quantity are both excellent and the atmosphere is classic Chinese decor and feel to everything. read more

I like this place. It isn't super authentic, or fancy or anything like that, but sometimes when you want fried stuff in various sauces, you need a place like this. You won't see any food bloggers or hipsters hyping this place up, but when I get a hankering for low mein or little fried chicken bits with dayglow orange sauce, you know I'm gonna hit up Big Heng. read more

Pretty good! I've had the fried rice, some Kung pao shrimp and the egg drop soup. Everything was decent and the restaurant seemed clean. The customer service was very friendly and I will definitely return. Beware-- if you ask for spicy boy will it be SPIIII-CY!! read more

This restaurant has been around for a long time and it's one of the best Chinese food places around. It's a moderately sized dinning area with a few tv screen up. There are several booths around the sides. They have some large tables, one with a lazy susan and then smaller tables filled in everywhere else. They do serve alcohol. They have a lot of items on the menu that's split up by the type of meat. Prices are pretty good for the amount of food you get. The people here are great! Everyone does a good job here. The servers are always there to help you. They are located in a very small strip mall at 75th and Peoria. Even if you don't see lines for parking you can park in the middle as well. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. They have great food with great people! read more

Disappointed from start to finish. Placed an online order. Said it would be 50-70 minutes, which is fine, but driver left bag at front door. I actually called GrubHub to get a status (I thought these places provided updates) and found out order was sitting outside my door. No one rang doorbell or knocked. His (or her) loss because there was a tip waiting. The food was lukewarm, at best. Beef with broccoli was not made to order. Beef was gamey and I requested half the broccoli. (I hope it's beef!) Anyway, the only thing we enjoyed were the eggrolls. Cannot recommend and will not order here again. read more

This place was ok don't think I will come back but it was pleasant experience: The orange chicken is overwhelming sweet, and it over took the flavor of the chicken. The rice was good and the broccoli beef was ok too. They had Pepsi products but they also had can coke which was awesome. The service was friendly but the food was not as good as I was hoping. Guess I will continue to search for a good Chinese food restaurant. The best thing was the chow mein read more

I ordered food from here on 2/8/23, I regularly order from here but this time there was a misunderstanding with the order and I didn't realize it till I got home 30 minutes away, so I called and they made it right, right away, since I live 30mins away I was able to pick up the correct item the next day. Thanks for the great service and food was bomb like always read more

When I arrived there was a sign that was to go only. Not a problem. I called and placed my order and was told it was gonna be 10 mins. So I sat there and waited 10 mins. My food was ready upon arrival. I forgot my order number and they instead asked what I ordered. Everything was all ready to go and packed. Once I got home the food was still hot. One thing I didn't realize was the order size of the the curry chicken until I unpacked it. No problem we both split one curry chicken and let the other one cool down for dinner another night. The pu pu plate looked absolutely delicious. Then we both took our first couple of bites. The curry chicken wasn't as spicy as we thought but no matter the chicken was tender and delicious. My pu pu plate was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. The fried shrimp portions were just right. Not too greasy or dry. The ribs and wings were also tender. Overall if you are starving for something fresh and delicious. This is the place. We'll be coming back to order more when the time comes. read more

Pipping hot Chinese food on a cold night, watching Christmas movies makes for a perfect night in! Yeah, its a lot of fried food and it's not fancy but it hit the spot. We got bbq pork lo mein, sweet n sour chicken, crab puffs and a break from the heaviness, egg drop soup. Lo mein was tastiest! read more

Wow wow wow. I've never encountered such a rude restaurant in all my life. Placed a take out order for myself, my husband and my 9 year old, and since we just moved the day before and were in the middle of unpacking, I went to go pick up the food while my husband stayed back with our son to continue unpacking. I went in and one lady greeted me, so I said I was picking up an order. She goes "ok" and just walks away...ok? Then a second lady comes over and I repeat myself, so she then goes and grabs this medium sized box in which they placed all of our food in (which I thought was interesting). This woman then straight up looks down at the food then looks back up at me with the most judgmental face and goes "is it just you?" Confused by her question, I said yes because I thought she was asking if anyone else was with me. I then asked for some chopsticks and forks, and this woman not only paused and looked completely baffled as to how I could ask for that, but then she goes, "one?" THIS LADY THOUGHT THE ENTIRE ORDER WAS FOR ME! NOT ONLY THAT BUT SHE WAS BLATANTLY JUDGING ME FOR IT! I first had a good laugh about it because this woman really thought the whole order was for me just because I was alone when I picked up, but then I thought holy crap even if that were true, this person really thought it was ok to blatantly question and judge a person for that to their face??? That's INSANE. And after all of that mess the food was SO bland! Overall the only things we could taste were loads of soy sauce aka super salty and bland ingredients soaked in veggie water. Absolutely disgusting. I hate hate hate when others say things of this nature so it pains me to say this, but if politeness and social etiquette is not a thing in your country, maybe you should learn a bit about what NOT to say or do here in the US, ESPECIALLY to CUSTOMERS WHO ARE PAYING YOU. This was our first and LAST time here. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. read more

I cannot get enough of this place - so I offered to take my son to dinner there on his birthday As we were pulling in he looked around and said "This is where you wanted to take me for my birthday???!???" No frills, but good old traditional styled Cantonese Chinese sit down and/or takeout. The kind of place I can order a pupu platter or fried rice, wor wonton soup or egg foo yung and know I'll be happy. Wish it was closer to my home, but I'll take the drive. read more

I love this place so much. Best Chinese food I've ever had, and the prices are so reasonable!!

We eat this place allot because my family normally enjoys the food but if I'm gonna be am honest reviewer I also have to keep you up on the bad that happens. Last night I finally ordered the ribs. We picked up and didn't open the box until we got home. The ribs were so dry they were literally crunchy. I don't think ribs should be dried out. It was like they were under a heat lamp ALL DAY. No thank you! read more

Literally I will never come back here.. I admit the the food is great. HORRIBLE!! customer service well it got worse.. when I spend money as a customer and you deny me condiments. I told the older lady at the desk.. " you know what just cancel my order" said have a great day and walked out. To me being in sales and I work for a 5star company personally is what probably helps me make this decision and easily because everyone that walks through that door deserves to be treated with the best service when you purchase and support a local small business.. read more

we always get takeout (the dinner special number 2 or 3) and it's always packed full and delicious.

We have been to this place a few times now. The food is always fresh and good. Pricing seems good for the portions you receive.

I was disappointed with this place since it had great reviews. My whole family got sick from the food and we all ordered something different. read more

I'd read good reviews and decided to order takeout. The dumplings and egg roll were good, the fried rice ok, but everything else tasted old or just plain tasteless. The pork was tough and full of gristle. We dumped most of the $40 meal in the trash Big Heng was a Big Flop. read more

Got the lunch special, sesame chicken. The egg roll was not fresh, barely Luke warm. The two crab puffs were very over cooked. The chicken was generic store bought battered chicken and a thin very sweet sauce, no real flavor besides sweet. The "fried rice" was just white rice mixed with soy sauce, no veggies didn't seem cooked other than white rice. Don't waste your money and time. Very very disappointed. read more

Big Heng was recommended to us by many people so we decided to give them a try twice. The first time we ordered we had chicken and broccoli and also swarmed chicken. I would give that experience a 3 stars. It was edible but not great. Our second experience occurred on 05/04/20. We had the Emporer Chicken, the Kung Pao three, and chicken lettuce wraps. The emporer chicken was okay but I wouldn't recommend. The Kung pow three was the worst thing I have ever tried. With 20 minutes my wife and I both had puked and I was feeling extremely dizzy. We ended up tossing everything as we had lost our appetite. I don't understand what the hype is with this place. I really wanted to like it. I am wondering if we just haven't tried the right item. I have had 10+ people tell me it's good but my experience has been completely different. I won't give it another shot as just thinking about the food makes my stomach turn. I wouldn't recommend but maybe by some rare chance we just had bad food twice. read more
