Delicious BBQ!!! Super fresh and my favorite were the BBQ ribs that the meat was so tender that it fell right off the bone. The brisket was great and the bread was toasted perfectly and had the right amount of butter on it. There local beers are really good too! Don't get me started on the pecan and milk pies omg.... To die for it's definitely a must try. Plenty of parking because they have a lot so no need to worry about that and located near a bunch of stores. Highly recommend to anyone!

"I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in And stops my mind from wandering Where it will go" (Lennon and McCartney) Since Big Hole BBQ was so close to our motel, quite a few of our tour companions had dinner here, including us. It's a very casual restaurant and bar with your conventional bar food (nachos, mac and cheese, onion rings), salads, tacos, burgers, BBQ, and sandwiches. As soon as we sat down, some of our tour buddies passed us their basket of fried pickle chips because the portion was so big it overpowered them. I have to say, those pickles were fantastic-super crunchy and delicious. We ordered two mini BBQ tacos, one chicken and one pulled pork, with BBQ sauce, slaw and pico. At a rock bottom price of $5 each, these large "minis" were a stel and very tasty. I went with a rarely seen 1/3 rack of ribs with a choice of one side for $14. I chose cole slaw. The ribs were incredible and cooked perfectly. I know that "the meat slid off the bone" has become a cliché, but guess what, when I picked up the first one... yes... the meat literally fell off the bone into my plate. The four meaty ribs were great. For under $26 we ate like royalty.

    Philly and fries

I stopped in with my mom and sister. I got the Philly and fries. My mom got pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and slaw. We shared Mac and cheese and chicken tenders. The food was incredible. Everything came quickly and it was amazing. Definitely worth checking out. Our waiter, Riley, was awesome and made sure we were good the whole time. Much appreciation to the staff!

The food really good. The meats came out with no sauce. This was great because it allowed us to put the right amount of bbq sauce and choose which flavor sauce we liked the best. The pulled pork was delicous! The ribs were so smoky and good. Highly recommend stopping here. Service was just ok. It seems the bartenders are the servers as well so for them to find the right balance between dining and bar was a little rough.

Great BBQ with Local Brews and a Chill Vibe. Stumbled upon this BBQ spot and it did not disappoint. The food was flavorful --classic BBQ . What really stood out was the solid selection of local beers. The vibe was lowkey and fun, just a great place to kick back and enjoy some good food. Would absolutely come back!

To say the Burnt Ends were good is a sad excuse of the English language. More powerful adjectives define the succulent and savory taste that comes when a dry rub meets aged beef. This organic experience awakens the mouth and sends you onto a one way trip to bliss. I did share a recipe idea which was to offer the brisket with the dry rub onto the brisket and load into the loaded fries. Remember you should name them "Sith Fries"

Ribs, brisket, loaded potato, Mac and cheese!

Food was absolutely amazing, the service was great! Recommend to anyone in this area! Got the combo platter for two and it was perfect!

Pulled pork and brisket sandwich Delicious, fresh, and tender. Bbq sauce to add to it is perfectly sweet. Our 9 year old got regular tenders and fries and said they were his favorite tenders. Service is friendly from the moment you walk in. If in need of bbq, definitely make this a stop. We went for lunch and sat inside for the air conditioning and had a great view of the mountain.

Nice seating outside which is paramount as we had a dog! The place was busy inside and later on passing noticed the outdoor tables were all full. The food was good, the two melts were more than the girls could eat and were consumed later around the campfire. The brisket was consumed on the spot! Waiter was attentive, never went inside but did not get a good vibe for draft craft beers. Had a local, but not much choice. I would go back noting the town is a tourist trap so all food is pricey for anyone on a budget.

Don't feed the bears pork, brisket, ribs, or chicken. Fish is ok though. Lol.

Service was decent. Maybe 5 tables occupied including outside. We arrived after prime time. The food was good but not sure of the smoke. My posted pic of the rib gives me the impression this may be slow baked and seared on the grill - same as the chicken. We enjoyed the sides of onion rings and slaw. Again, the food was good but since we were passing through, it was convenient as well.

Went here twice it was so nice! We had the burnt ends, ribs and brisket sandwiches. The ribs were the very best we have ever had ANYWHERE! All were excellent. Very friendly staff. Place is nice and clean. Good drinks too!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

With so many strong restaurants in Jackson, this one didn't stand out as one we would revisit…read more Our server was lovely--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

The Tex-Mex Cookbook. Two things I found interesting were that instead of the standard red and green salsa served this restaurant serve serves a kind of spicy coleslaw along with the red salsa. Additionally, I learned that what we think of as Piccadilly, ground beef with nuts, raisins, peppers; here, it is just shredded beef what I know of as carne deshebrada. But because of my love of the cuisine of Mexico, I always like to check out how it varies in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and now Wyoming. And then something interesting happened. Our waitress told us she was fine Honduras and I had the aha moment. Repoyo!!! Like one has with pupusas! Service. Ambiance.

This review is specifically about the hostess/front desk attendant…read more When I arrived, there was no one at the host stand. I stood in the entryway waiting to be acknowledged and eventually had to look around the corner to find someone. The hostess finally noticed me, but she appeared more interested in her phone than assisting customers. Meanwhile, an employee making tortillas clearly saw me waiting but never alerted anyone or offered assistance. I eventually found a menu to place a takeout order, but the hostess disappeared again, leaving me waiting at the front for another 10 minutes. During that time, I repeatedly made eye contact with staff, yet no one offered help or even acknowledged that I was waiting. After looking around the corner a second time, I found the hostess once again focused on her phone. To make matters worse, the restaurant phone appeared to be off the hook, making it impossible for customers to call. After waiting far longer than I should have without any assistance, I finally left. Based on this experience, it certainly felt like they had no interest in serving customers.
