One more time these guys are closed so you know basically the scary isn't open or it isn't past Memorial Day. You better call cause these guys have no regular schedule and just close for the off-season even though they're basically local driven business burgers are good. It's a easy on and off you don't have to go into downtown but liberty burger is looking pretty good right now where we can get good organic beef and not have to worry about whether it's closed or not

We stayed at the Virginian and I have to say the location the service the food and over all experience was great! Neither of us got burger but the falafel and fried chicken put so good and so fresh!! Eric up at the front taking orders and the chef in the back were friendly and so wonderful! Love the saloon! We washed it down with a couple mules from Moscow. Probably will do it again tonight for open mic

I was excited to have a Billy's burger again. It's been a few years since the old restaurant on the square closed. The new location is at the Virginian Motel. Once the summer really gets going, finding parking will be an issue. I ordered the 1/2 lb "Billy." Asked if I wanted fries? Sure. Burger $16.50. The billboard says "add any side." No price. My bill, however, said $3.50. Burger looked great. However, tasted terrible. The burger patty looked and tasted like a pre-formed patty with added flavoring like beef base or something. Dry. Overcooked. No juices. Gross. I wish them the best.

This place is attached to the Virginian Lodge complex which is a pretty cool place to stay overall. There's a little gift shop, a burger joint, the saloon, a pool, hot tub, all sorts of little amenities. So this saloon is one part of this whole lodge experience. Immediately, we liked the laid back ambiance with lots of sofas and comfie chairs to hang out with a small group of people. We sat at the bar. For us, the vibe and casual, kickback ambiance was a five star for what we were looking for (which was that). We ordered two appetizers which were maybe about average: the hatch pepper queso was not as good as the Pace queso from the jar that we had just had a week prior. The chicken tenders were typical bar tenders, nothing special. Basic fries. So the food was struggling to score a three star. The thing about the service was that it could have been much better but because of the early hour we seemed to be sort of the warm up customers. One bartender was in training so while he greeted us he was promptly dismissed by the main bartender who alternated between being the best and the worst bartender you might have. When you're two of three people at the bar and there's only five people in the whole place you might expect to get more conversation from the barkeep since we were out of towners and looking forward to hearing about the local scene. Nope. I guess you could say it was mainly our high expectation of having a friendly bartender but ended up feeling sort of like a bar seat. This was at a very low ebb in the season as well as the day so I can't imagine that the experience would improve with more people. As with all things, it's all about expectation. If you don't expect a great bartender, and don't expect great food you might come away pleased with the venue. But no dark on tap so don't expect that either.

The name is disguised as "an entry point with a first number") tour starting at Mt. Rushmore with multiple stops in between ending at the Grand Tetons. This was our final ending meal together. First, I know the management prepared for us. We had to select the entrees a couple of days before. Second, we were seated next to the circular wall towards the street, very accommodating. Noise factor was good to excellent because of the high ceilings (the industrial look you know with exposed duct work now popular.) Third, finally the food what you really want to know... All of us had the house salad. It was lightly dressed which I appreciated since some restaurants over dress or use a harsh vinaigrette. I had their beef steaks which the tour written description was a fillet, restaurant menu list as a ribeye. I 'm not going to complain because it was accurately seared. I asked for mine medium and another asked for medium well. Both were slightly under which was good. Presentation was excellent they did change from sweet potatoes to a couscous ( I think) which was a good switch and tasty. My spouse had the rainbow trout and it was amazing! It a good size, as again presentation was great! Tasted good too! Not dry. Another person had the truffle pasta and there was a poached egg on top. What a surprise! They said it tasted good! If you want someone on the other menu section of yelp list just what was offered to us with a detailed description. The dessert was their donut holes (very crispy and tasty) with three dipping sauces. We had soft drinks and there was a double pour. Every thing came out in a timely manner! Amazing again for such a large group. Check'm out, they're good!

Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

A unique setting in a wine / liquor store with a tapas bar in the back, amongst the wine racks and liquor bottles. Long communal tables and sitting hip to hip with foodies, locals, and people meeting total strangers. It is good conversation with everyone sharing stories, not once was politics mentioned. Reservations are not taken, instead you will find the host making people scoot to make room for new arrivals at the long tables. Our servers were spot-on with service, drinks and sharing her favorites. It is cozy and casual, people meeting people. The spirits here are for the pros with knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and bubbles. We started with the wild mushroom mozzarella with balsalmic butter, parmesan and balsalmic glaze served on crunchy baguettes. It was unbelievably flavored and tasty, a great start to the night and must have! The Spanish salad with arugula, apple, fennel, almonds, manchego and a honey-sherry vinegarette was good but not on par with the other dishes. The tuna crudo with cucumber, arugula, crunchy grains, orange wedges, citrous vinegarette, fried capers and preserved lemon was light, a real palate cleanser, and refreshing. A pleasant surprise and would order again. The lamb pintxos was our final selection and a great dish to end the night on. The fork tender lamb tenderloin was served on 2 skewers with mojo verde, Spanish aoili, and pickled red onions on crisp baguette slices. Another Homerun! The menu changes frequently and the tapas allow you to try several different delectable dishes. It encourages sharing and forces you to open up and try different dishes. Very disappointed with our first--and last--experience at this steakhouse…read more We had reservations for a party of six at 7:45 p.m. and were seated upstairs, where it was both uncomfortably warm. We mentioned this to the young hostess, who replied that she "had no control over that." We asked if she could at least inform a manager. Our waitress took our drink order in an impatient, distracted manner. She was looking around the room as I was speaking to her. When I began placing my order and requested my steak cooked medium, she rudely interrupted me by saying, "Just a minute," and walked away to speak to another server at the table next to us. She eventually returned to finish taking our orders. Our Caesar salads were good, although they were served warm instead of chilled. My 10-ounce sirloin, ordered medium, was decent but unremarkable. Unfortunately, my husband's and son-in-law's steaks, both also ordered medium, arrived extremely rare and were so undercooked they were difficult to cut. Their baked potatoes were hard and undercooked. My daughter and grandchildren ordered the ravioli, green beans, mushrooms, and macaroni and cheese, which were all bland and best described as merely adequate. My iced tea was never refilled, and our waitress was nowhere to be found throughout most of the meal. The room was so hot and noisy that my daughter and grandchildren eventually left the table because it was a very unpleasant atmosphere. As we were leaving, I stopped at the hostess stand and asked an older woman if she was the manager. She abruptly replied, "One of them." I quietly began explaining our experience so as not to create a scene. Instead of listening, she fixed me with a hostile stare and interrupted me by asking, "Did you tell your waitress about these issues so she could tell me?" I explained that our waitress never returned--not even to refill my tea--so we never had the opportunity to discuss our concerns with her. It was clear from the manager's attitude that the conversation wasn't going to be productive, so I simply told her my husband was still at the table and wanted to speak with her. Ironically, my daughter predicted the manager would treat the men in our party with more courtesy--and she was right. She listened to their concerns and removed one steak and a iced tea from the bill. Between the mediocre food, inattentive service, and unprofessional management, this was an extremely disappointing dining experience. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant
