List the total price of the automobile on the sticker. We purchased a car that was listed for $30 K but were charged for "extras" that we didn't want. It amounted to over $4,000. It was our mistake for signing the contract, but their practice is very deceptive. If the "extras" are already included then the sticker price should reflect it. Do not recommend! read more

My Hyundai Tucson had been stolen by thieves using a USB, and was damaged. I spoke to my insurance and then reached out to various Hyundai dealerships. I came across Kerry Hyundai of Alexandria, who assured me they would take care of everything...all I would have to do is tow it there. I had it towed there, (at the spot they told me), and assumed they would take care of it. My vehicle sat for 2 weeks, with no communication from them. The only thing I had received was, "They're working on it.", or nothing at all. When I did hear back from them, it was concerning topics which made me realize they did not read the information from my insurance. I spent the next week trying to play phone tag and did not get anywhere. Eventually, I had to pay a LARGE amount of money to keep a rental, because I work a good distance from home. Eventually, after a few emails plus some back and forth calling, I was told my vehicle was ready. The total time was approximately 3.5-4 weeks...roughly a month. A month of not having a vehicle, not knowing the status, not being kept in contact, and not being given the proper service someone should have received if they had went to any other Hyundai dealership. Essentially, I was victimized TWICE: Once when my vehicle was stolen, and once again, when Kerry Hyundai of Alexandria did their best, not to do what they were suppose to do. They handled everything so poorly, they gave me a new perspective of their entire dealership. I encourage you, DO NOT purchase or have your vehicle serviced by Kerry Hyundai of Alexandria!! You will have a HORRIBLE experience, and it will not be worth it. Please go to a better dealership. You have been warned. read more

My Hyundai, 14 years old, needed a repair that wasn't worth it based on its age and mileage. That left me looking for new car earlier than I had wanted. I wasn't really sure what I was looking for. I went to KIA, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Subaru. Based on those experiences, I wasn't really looking forward to continuing. I finally decided on Hyundai because of the warranty and my experience. The choices that I came up with were the Sonata or the Santa Cruz. That decision is for another discussion. I went to 3 Hyundai dealers looking for my options. I checked the Hyundai website based on inventory., Kerry Hyundai had model on the lot or in transit that seemed to fit my wants. I stopped by Kerry Hyundai of Alexandria. I met with Michael Wesselman. I explained what I was looking for. I told him that I wanted a fair deal. I also told him that I didn't want him to go home and tell his wife and kids that they had to eat rice/beans based on this sale. He seemed upfront and honest. I left. After thinking about it, I came back the next day. I knew what I wanted. I felt I knew what was a fair price. Michael and I negotiated. He talked with his manager. We came up with I believe to be a fair price and it didn't put Michael on rice/beans. He made everything easy peasy. Michael was very low keyed. He didn't pressure me the way other dealers had. He listened and I felt he worked with me. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends. He reminds me a lot of the sales person from my initial Hyundai purchase. I never regretted it. Since 2007 I have purchased a Hyundai Elantra, 2 different Tuscon's and a Santa Fe, 4 cars total, all brand new from this dealership the Santa Fe was a 2018 and the last new car I will ever purchase from this dealership. In those 10 years between the cars, service and maintenance I've guesstimated spending roughly $80 to $100K and they have lost me as a life long loyal customer after the 7 long years I've dealt with the dealership and their service department on the Santa Fe. Within the first week of ownership the car wouldn't start and had to be towed and I found out they told me they sold me an All wheel drive vehicle, I paid for an AWD vehicle and in fact it was a Front Wheel drive vehicle, Next at around 13,000 miles the engine went into a safety mode for a catastrophic engine failure issue, it was the knock sensor they had the car a month trying to fix that issue. When I asked to speak to the general manger and asked him to take the car back at this point and give me a new one, he was completely sarcastic with me and asked me if I wanted him to make all my mortgage payments too while he was at it! Next came the oil consumption issues and the year long fight with the dealership and Hyundai to fix it. They had the car almost six months after 2 month long oil consumption tests. Then after having the car back for less than 2 weeks, I had it back in the service department multiple times because it was shifting badly, their service department kept saying they couldn't replicate the issue and wouldn't you know it the engine threw itself back into a safety mode not going over 40 mph because when they had it for the 6 months and finally replaced the engine, they put the heads into the wrong positions and they needed to be switched out. I was constantly made to feel like I was crazy and there was nothing wrong with this vehicle. The service department was awful, they were all rude except for Grover. I did at one point speak to the owner, or another general manager who had the audacity to say he would cut me a REALLY good deal on the next car I purchased from them but they couldn't do anything else for me on the Santa Fe! I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai or another vehicle from any KERRY dealership. I tell anyone who will listen about my experience and warn them to steer clear. DO NOT spend your money here! read more

Had trouble finding a good deal for a car and ended up meeting Mike Wesselman. He was very knowledgeable, no bullcrap, straight to the point, and didn't waste my time at all. He was able to get me into a car I really liked at a price I was happy with. Last time we bought from Mike it was in and out in 30. We now have five of our six family members that purchased from him. I've been to this dealership 3 times in the last month trying to figure out the best car and deal for myself. I've been working with Matthew W. and he has been incredibly helpful , honest , and transparent with things. He's been in contact without being overbearing and allowed me to make the right choice without feeling pressured by anyone at the dealership. Matthew was also great with following COVID precautions -- wearing his mask , keeping his distance , sanitizing his hands , pens , and other things passed back and forth. We purchased our second vehicle from Kerry Hyundai of Alexandria, brand new 2016 Hyundai Tucson. There have been 3 recalls on this model, the power train (which is a part of the engine) went out, we have a back passenger door that won't open, two windows that won't open and various knobs and switches in the vehicle which currently don't work. As if that wasn't bad enough, we now have a vehicle which is burning oil. This is a 5 year old car that is still 11 payments away from being ours. To be clear, the only thing covered was the power train because the vehicle was under 100,000 miles. I had to argue with the service manager that this would be covered! Additionally, with the last recall which involved the brakes, that could potentially catch on fire, I called the service department the day I received the notice. I was told they would order the part and call me as soon as it was in. A month later when the service engine light came on, I called the service department again, only to be told the recall part had been on back order. Yet no phone call to me to let me know. When asked about a loaner car while mine was being fixed, I was told, "we have 8 vehicles that are in with blown engines, so we don't have any loaner cars". Excuse me? You are a service department? REALLY? I answered the survey from the dealership about my experience very honestly and received a message from the service manager to contact him to discuss. I called 5 days ago and left a message......still no return phone call. I would strongly recommend if you are shopping for a new vehicle that you stay FAR FAR AWAY from Kerry Hyundai in Alexandria!!!!! It has been a nightmare of an experience for us!!! Kerry Hyundai....may not mean much to you......but you've lost two customers for life......oh and everyone I know as I will be continuously sharing what a terrible dealership/lack of service department they have!!! read more
